  I'm trying to form a group on BBM.  I've set up a group of "mailing list" in my contacts, but trying to do the same thing in BBM, I am at a loss.  I formed a band, tagged, but I don't know how to add members to the group.  Do I have to start a conversation first?

  Two things which BBMessenger version if you're to (Options > Advanced > Applications)?

  In BBMessenger, you can start a conversation with a person and invite others (in this chat > Menu key > add to other current cat).

  Or you can start a Chat group.

  In BBMessenger > scroll down > create a new group

  Add members, etc. It is pretty obvious once you did.

  I am currently using a BB Curve 8520. I have a problem with the birthday entries sharing with my BBM groups.

  When I add a birthday entry to my contacts from the phonebook, the phone will ask whether or not you will share this date with the BBM groups calendar.

  If I select No., birthday entry will continue to BE SHARED to your BBM groups.

  So I have to go to the calendar of the BBM groups to delete manually created entry.

  Can you help me to solve this problem with my phone?

  Follow the steps; below

  1. take a full backup of your device.

  2 reset the device (Do a security wipe)

  3 register your device with Netowrk.

  4. return the maintenance book.

  5. If more than one e-mail account then delete pulled CICAL service book of reset. (but keep a default for CICAL service)

  6. now, do a restore advance except BBM GROUP and data.

  7. now, create a new entry in the calendar.

  Votre.246 is out of date, it's the original operating system released with the torch in August 2010. I recommend upgrading to the latest in the official 6.0.0.570

  In addition, you probably have an older version of BBMessenger (5.0.3.22 is the last). I'll post instructions to upgrade only below.

  I would say this: use your BlackBerry Messenger feature to back up your contacts, you have now, and also, do a full backup using the Desktop Manager.

  Then, go to Options > device > Applications and scroll the Messenger app and do not click it, just highlight it. Click Menu > delete and remove the application.

  Now, do a restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install again the Messenger application.

  After installation and reboot if necessary, check your instant messaging, or downloads of the application folder.

• Lost blackBerry smartphones BBM groups after BBM updated!

  I've updated the BBM to V.5.0.3.22 of the BB App World & after restarting the device, I found that all my BBM groups are missing!

  The strange thing, I always receive notifications (small group @ home screen icons) when someone post in the group as if I still a member, but still don't see no groups in the list groups BBM... Although other members can see me already in these groups!

  For some of them, I was the creator/admin, so no one can remove or add me in the Group again... & other groups when an administrator tries to add me again for the group, I received the invitation normally but when I try to accept it, it gives me a message that I am already a Member!

  In the meantime your kind comments... How can I restore my BBM groups again? or how can I reinstall the old version BBM? (maybe this will help you restore groups!)

  Sokkary, Hello and welcome to the Forums.

  How long it has been since you last updated the BBM? Sometimes it can take 2 to 4 hours for a full synchronization of the chat groups, especially so in the more active groups. So, in this case, just give it some time.

  If this continues as a problem, first make a reboot simple: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so. Now, gives groups the synchronization time. It is not immediate.

  And finally, if still nothing after a good day, for groups in which you were not the one creator/admin as a member to withdraw from the group, wait a few minutes and you add.

  For the groups that you are the sole administrator, you're stuck. You will find all the need to abandon the Group and restart and NEVER leave you one admin in a group.

  But the key is patience...

• Group of BBm blackBerry Smartphones

  Hi all

  I have the Blackberry Curve.  In BBM, I have a 'group' that shows 0/1 contacts, but it shows no contacts in the list.  It does not show everyone in the group, but I can't delete the group.  I think it's what is spoiling me with a contact.  How can I get the group to show no contact (0/0), then I can remove the Group?

  Thanks for all the suggestions.  I think that the problem has been resolved.  I had a contact problem, after removing them and making them then add me, I was able to move them to the group, I then demolished their as a contact and then removed from the group. I was able to save and add them to my contacts.  Everything seems to work now.

  Could someone please help me to do so as soon as POSSIBLE.

  The problem is to move them under new BlackBerry ID than that of the iphone.

  I found no option that would allow either to BBM works on iPhone or even DeviseSwitch.

• I can't connect my windows 8 PC to an existing working group including XP and Vista devices

• BBM blackBerry 10 on z10, the groups list is missing than before points, I added on my 9900

  I swapped my sim in my new z10 and transfer data via the peripheral switching method sd card. I changed my id of the 9900 for the z10 bbm also.

  I had been using a group of bbm and all lists are still visible. However, the elements than before, I added on my 9900 within the list are no longer there. Items added to my wife on his torch are still on my z10, but not my items. Same problem with group calendar items. I see hers, but not mine.

  It perhaps does not synchronize the items added by the same user because of the assumption that the user would always have their own items already? Any way I can get these items synced on my z10?

  FYI, I had to remove myself from the Group and then add me again. After that it synchronized all the elements, including those that I had added with the 9900.

• Queries on BBM BBM

  I have a couple of queries for BBM.

  1 - is the BBM (on device Blackberry OS 10) function without any SIM card or if the SIM card is passed to another card? I'm new to OS 10 that is why this issue.

  Previously, I used unit BB OS 7 and while on international roaming when I changed the SIM card on my phone, all cats stopped working, I couldn't whatsapp or BBM work.

  2. is protected BBM deployed on the BES server or on the cloud. Is the option of the BES server on site for instant messaging among employees through the cloud server based? If protected BBM is deployed to the cloud, and how companies can control their own encryption keys?

  Note: If the BBM will work without the SIM then its an important feature, especially those who travel a lot. We don't see no BlackBerry made a lot of marketing around that, virtually no one knows about it. It goes same for retraction of message, very useful when you accidentally send the message of public bad.

BBM is an Instant messaging application that is now available for users of iphone and android, if a friend you installed and use BBM on devices out there and you don't have these data plan that allow BBM on your BlackBerry only BBM will be affected, but not the other messaging services, it may be whatsapp, viber etc.

  You are right... BBM is an application that depends only on PIN, each user will have there own PIN and adding that the PIN is of course like adding a friend on BBM contacts list.

  Hi, I upgraded my software and after restarting the phone, I noticed that my BBM v.7.0.1.23 is missing.  Is it still shows that is is installed in my blackberry world but I cannot locate it anywhere on the phone.  It drives me crazy. Need help to solve this

  Try this KB:

  Or you can try to reinstall BBM, do that first remove all existing versions of BBM options > device > application > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list. When reboot its perform another traction battery by removing the battery while your unit is powered.

  Finally, after rebooting your BlackBerry browser go to www.blackberry.com/bbm and download the latest version available for your device.

  Try it and see if that helps.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BBM and pending notifications won't go

  Just realized the other day, you can make a group of BBM and send a message to several people.  So, I tried it.

  I sent a request for 2 people to join.  We agreed without problem...  For the second person, their application does not seem to pass, so I sent him several times.  But they joined & then deleted, because test ended.

  At the time where we did test, got all sorted. Delete the group etc... I guess because for 1 people I send demand several times thinking that he was not going through I now have "pending of" sitting down area BBM & ne can't get rid of the notification pending (waiting for waiting them to join).  They joined once. Deleted.  & they no longer need to show to their end, to join.

  I can't get rid of him waiting.  Any idea on how to do it?

  OK, so I had to delete the contact. delete the person on the assiotaion for the chat group.  Delete nobody.

  Once it was ONLY ALL removed... the stuck 'pending (awaiting authorization)' beyond went.  Definitely a problem there with those pending notifications.  There should be a way to end the waiting in the case where you don't want to watch more
