Impossible to reinstall the backup: Dell-installed

I am trying to reinstall programs on my computer with the disc of applications provided to me by Dell when I bought my computer, but for some reason any, that it will not allow me to programs I had on my computer, such as word on the computer. The only thing that shows is the homepage and any other programs that have been installed.  I have previously used this disc to reinstall the programs and have never had this problem before.  Any ideas as to what this might be and how I can fix and put my programs back on my computer?

Hi DoloresGrissett,

As this problem is with the disc provided by the manufacturer, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer for assistance.

  • How to reinstall the backup software?

    Hello

I follow the instructions for backup and restore of windows 7, but I couldn't reinstall my software, I only able to view the files that I save. For example, before restoration windows 7, I had software to backup such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, microsoft officice... etc, but now, after I restored it I see only the files that I saved but unable to reinstall these programs. I thought that the backup was supposed to save all including installation of software installation?

In addition, my previous resolution looks better and clearer, but after I had reinstalled windows 7, the resolution came out and I tried to make the adjustment but it is impossible to restore the previous version.

    Someone please help me, thanks.

    Kind regards

    Seven Tan

The backup process saving the user files so that you can restore them if necessary. This does not back up program files. To avoid the problems associated with the programs, it is mandatory to keep all the files for installing software on an external drive and purchase details (where purchased or downloaded, price paid, license numbers).

You can create an image of your installation via the control panel / backup and restore. You can use this image to restore your computer exactly as it was when you created the image. Your data will be set as soon as it was when you created the image.

  • Mail application Windows8 impossible to reinstall the 0x80073d05 error code

    Hello

Yesterday my mail app froze. I tried to restart the pc several times without success. All other apps worked fine. Only when I opened the mail app it freezes.

I uninstalled it with app calendar, messages and people.

When I tried to reinstall I got 0x80073d05 error code

I tried Microsoft fix - the program went very well and said it fixed a few problems. I restarted the computer and tried to reinstall the same mail app error message.

I ran the sfc/scannow command prompt as an administrator. I got the message that he could not fix it.

I have cleared the cache store with wsreset.exe

I can install other applications like yahoo mail without any problems. Only the Mail app, I can not install.

    Please notify.

    -sirot

    This is now fixed.

Uninstall application mail to all users, and administrator.

If you have previously had a user account and removed (by using the management of user accounts), but kept records like I did. Delete these profiles of account as below (step 1)

    1. I used to have another user account and I deleted it earlier. I found that I kept the files of this account.

Initially, I tried to remove the folder from the file Explorer (file c:\users\Name) user account. There are two files impossible to remove. I had to remove it from the command prompt. Then this folder account user as c:\users again and again after deleting it several times. Then I connected to the default Administrator account and deleted the user account from the file Explorer folder. I disconnected administrator and logged into my usual account. This stopped the record of user appear again.

Even after uninstalling application mail - folder for communications app existed. Here's what I did:

    2. I renamed the communicationsapps folder in the path:

    C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Packages

(I could not remove the folder - I got error that folder is not empty.) This is why I renamed it).

After that, I have reset the cache to store windows and reinstalled the mail application. It worked. I don't know which of the previous step contributed. I think this is step 2.

  • Photosmart 7520, impossible to reinstall the printer after removing software

Name of the product and operating system: Photosmart 7520, Windows 7 32 bit.

    Description of the problem:

I tried a lot already if the description is quite long, bear with me here.

At the beginning everything worked well. After a few months, the printer was not capable of scanning more computers in the network. He could identify them, he was not able to transfer the scanned document. Printing from computers was still possible. I did first network tests, even reset network to factory settings, but everything was fine. Try to solve this problem, I ran HP print and scan the doctor, the program gave me a twain scan error and was not able to fix it. Because it was not able to fix it. I uninstalled the computer HP printing software, reinstall the printer completely and try if it works. Digitization (magicly) now works on my other computer, but I can not reinstall the printer on the computer where I uninstalled the software, because it is impossible to find the printer on the network. I also tried to connect the USB printer, without a bit of luck. I think it's a driver problem, because the computer seems to have many 7520 drivers broken out there. I hope someone has a way to help me, because I don't know what to do anymore...

  • Impossible to update the PC Dell laptop with Microsoft or Windows 8.1 updates

I have two windows on the PC at home. The desktop machine has detected the 8.1 update and I installed it without any problems whatsoever (XPS from Dell all-in-one 32-bit). The laptop (Dell 14z Ultrabook - 64-bit) did not detect the update.

I tried via Metro and also interfaces classical, for "updates" to work, because they apparently have not. Each time, she turns just constantly and I get nowhere.

I tried to refresh and then also tried reinstalling the machine W8 - whenever he "prepares" for basically of 15-20 minutes until I give up, because obviously, it won't work.

Clearly, there is a problem here and I need to know what to do. I should do a USB and try reinstalling from there own W8? Or can I do this directly to 8.1?

Or is there something I can do to get an update via the machine itself?

I have the same problem with the same laptop. No solution

    gonzad,

    Mine is now sorted.

I turned the machine, a couple of times.

I next went to Windows Update again. This time I just left it.

Hey presto, a few hours later, she had discovered 32 important updates.

I asked it to update, that was then. Once again, this process has taken an extremely long time, maybe an hour. This can be down to the web connection, as the machine was very happy to play a Youtube video.

Anyway, as soon as the update and the updates installed, the 8.1 update was visible on the market and installed without a hitch.

I hope this helps - the answer is to persevere.

    SP

Oh, BTW, I also checked the Windows Update settings in 8.1 and they are configured to download updates, which somehow, strangely, and certainly not down to me, were not set up for the auto-update in Windows 8.

The European Toshiba driver page provides audio driver for XP and at this time, it s a 5.12.0.1.5160 version of Analog Devices Inc.

  • Cannot find "automatic detection" to reinstall the software pre-installed on my desktop after installing win7

I did a full install of win7 from vista on my hp Pavilion a6250z desktop which has deleted my preinstalled software that came with the computer.  They told me to go to hp and run detection system to reinstall the software, but after a lot of research were not able to find auto-detection. Any ideas on where should I look for?  Thank you!

What we call "automatic detection" can be found HERE. The only thing he finds some drivers and install some software updates for your original Vista. HP no longer provides the software pre-installed on their Web site.

My experience is that if you have created your HP recovery disks when you got the computer or just before you did a clean install of Windows 7, you should be able to find most of the original software on the discs. Insert the HP recovery disc in the DVD drive and navigate to the folder "HP". In this folder should be a file 'Drvr' and a file 'Apps '. You should be able to find the software preinstalled in the "Apps" folder Note that some programs may not work correctly because they were not designed to be used with Windows 7.

  • Windows complete PC Backup Image - impossible to restore the backup on my laptop after the restoration of the C drive.

My user profile is not loaded correctly, and so Sony told me to do a restore of the C drive which took my drive C back to factory settings and lost all my programs and files.  I tried since then to restore the Windows Image backup I did on my external hard drive.

I open backup and Restore Center, click Advanced Restore, click Advanced Restore again.  The box application to what you want to restore?  The only option is to files from a backup made on a different computer.  I click Next, and he said: select the location of the backup to restore.  Hard drive, cd or dvd option has already found new Volume (e), which is my external hard drive.

I click Next again, and he says, select dates to restore from.  The only option in the box is dated 2008-01-12 14:14:34 backup location is not available.  My external hard drive has multiple backups on it, including the Windows Backup Image (which was the first backup, I did and it contains 152 GB), and so I do not understand this.

I continue, and then click Next.  It now says select files and folders to be restored, but there is nothing in the box.  I have check the restore everything in this backup box and click Next.  I save the files restored to the following location - check and navigate to the C drive.  I also check both boxes: restore files to their original subfolders and create a subfolder for the drive letter.  I click on begin to restore, and then he said:

Restoration was unsuccessful.  Error: the parameter is incorrect. (0 x 80070057)

I'm desperate to be able to get my programs and files back on my laptop.  I don't understand why the restore function can not see my Windows Backup Image, and why this is so difficult.  I've read other complaints by users about this, but cannot find a solution.

I look forward to hear from you.

    Thank you.

    Hi HGHFaith,

I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1 : Clean boot the computer and then try to restore

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

    If the problem persists,

Step 2: Run Check disk to repair bad sectors on the hard drive.

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. type E: (external drive) and press enter

    c. at the command prompt, type chkdsk /f and then press ENTER.

    Now, type chkdsk/r

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

Check whether the problem is resolved

  • Impossible to reinstall the software

    Hello everyone

(Finally, the labels on the site appear in French, but as I see discussions in English, I guess I have to publish in English?)

I bought my k610im four and a half years, and it worked pretty well.

Just, one day, I forgot back to the Welcome screen, while itself has not locked by the keyboard.

As I took my handkerchief, which selected games and hold the C button. The game I played more often has been removed.

I talked about this in a forum, I suggested to reinstall the software with PC Companion.

Who has deleted all the games.

Then I got a link to download the game, but this link was not working from the PC, I would have had to refrain from using my phone a month integer.

Later, I found games to download, in the form of jar files and install via MyPhoneExplorer.

Well, some of these games went very well.

But apparently one of them was exactly what he claimed to be: now, my phone got used to turn off at any time without any warning. Most of the time it stops after the video output display, so it is clear the battery does not seem to be the problem (which can happen half an hour after I fully charge the battery), but once I saw the phone turned off with black screen, just instantly in a list.

I presume that the relocation of the PC Companion software can be a solution to this problem?

But it doesn't seem to be willing to do. It takes a minute to prepare the PC, the other to check the phone, and then three seconds after the beginning of the update, says there is no updates to install. It is quite strange, because right after that opening PC Companion with the phone plugged in, I was proposed to update from version to R1JC002 R1CB001. The link to repair the phone was no more successful. Can I assume that an update is available for a k610 is OK for a k610im?

I also tried Update_Service_Setup - 2.11.10.7.exe, but also, he told me that my phone was already at day and last point.

Well, is there still something to do? This phone is most useful on that power off.

Oh and by the way, do you know an antivirus that can analyze the jar files to install on such a phone?

So I think that the only option to update or reinstall the phone would be that it be reviewed in a repair center. See if the repair tech can reinstall using their tools.

Contact local support for more information on local repair centers.

  • Impossible to reinstall the c8180 software

    Hello

have tried to reinstall the c8180 printer software but get the following error

the installer has sufficient privileges to modify the file in c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3 hpfax.ini

have full administrator privileges and also led the installation as an administrator. Have followed all resolutions hp online but nothing worked.

    Any help appreciated

    Hi jimmyh35uk,

No, I wouldn't delete all of the files in your windows directory. It seems that you have a few problems of operating system on this computer. If you are unable to install the printer after you perform the steps of scrub provided in the Message 2 of 8 then you will need to back up your data files on this computer, and then run a full system recovery. This will place the PC to the way it was when you bought it. After recovery finished, install the printer before installing any additional software.

  • Satellite A80 135 impossible to reinstall the operating system using the recovery disk

    Hello

Ive got a laptop 2005 Satellite a80-135 that worked very well until I tried to format the HDD after a performance of Ram boost operation (kingston 1 gb Ram module).

    Just after that, the computer started showing software problems and finally crashed;
So I decided to reinstall the entire operating system yet. and here, I found the problem I really hope you can help me

The thing is that I can't format my hard drive to my cd player (with recovery CD in) when the machine is restarted.
In theory, start the Panel menu should appear after the computer reboot with the C key simountaneously key but nothing happens.

    Thanks in advance
    concerning
    jozze

    Hello

Simply, the C button the STRANGE start.
You can also try to press F12 after the laptop has been powered.
Then the start menu should appear on the screen and then you could choose the ODD (optical disc) in order to boot from the CD.

If this is not possible, the question is perhaps related to WEIRD malfunction or recovery disk.
Maybe the CD/DVD drive cannot read the disc properly and so the laptop can not boot from the disc.
You can try to copy the recovery CD using another computer and might try to start using the copied CD.
If it does not the problem might be related to the WEIRD failure.
