  Hi all... I really wish that if someone could help me solve my problem! My little brother used my app world ID on his device. Then all of a sudden all my bbm contacts have been added to his bbm and vice versa (which means that its contacts were added to my bbm as well) it's as if we share the same user of bbm! Same name, same picture, even in everything, but in two different phones... I want to do things to normal! So if you know please, tell me what I need to do?

  One of you will need to create a BlackBerry ID and change the BlackBerry ID for your device by following this process:

  They will also fill their contact BBM manually under the new BlackBerry ID list.

  I upgraded by OS for my BB Bold 9930.  Once the software has been loaded, my BBM icon has disappeared.

  1. using the BlackBerry browser, go to www.blackberry.com/bbm
  2. Download and install (if you are prompted to allow version x.xx crush verson x.xx?, say YES)
  3. Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
  4. Now find and configuration BBMessenger.

  Sorry for the trouble, but I noticed this same problem with few other users, who could not send pings to any BlackBerry 10 there BlackBerry 7 devices.

  To solve your problem, I suggest to re-install BlackBerry Messenger!  To do this on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.

  Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the latest available for your phone model. If device reboot prompt do then sign in with your ID BlackBerry even.

  Try it and tell us how it goes.

  Sorry, I misread it, because the missing icon AppWorld was rumored for many, and I jumped in with this solution too quickly.

  This,

  • your options > device > Application, highlight and then delete BBMessenger.
  • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
  • The, after reboot, your browser for BlackBerry, go to www.blackberry.com/bbm and download/install again.

  Replace the instructions appropriate for your other device instead of the transmitter unit KB section in the KB. Do not jump 'BT help to receive' step on the BB receiver... nothing will transfer if you do.

  Try to take a look at the address book on your Mac. See if your contacts are there.

  Also if your samsung GSM base as well as your BB then save all your contacts on your SIM card (address will not save this sense, though) and import directly on the BB - I bet that's what will make the store.

  Finally check your Desktop Manager on the Mac sync settings. Sure that 2-way sync is enabled.

  Hi, can someone help me please? It seems to me losing all my bbm contacts, even though I've done quite a few backups before, even I did with Blackberry Protect. I am at a loss here.

  All this happened when I changed service provider. I had previously asked if this was going to happen and there was the answer No. All asudden yesterday (one day after the switch), I was on the road and all my contacts disappeared. I tried the support through Blackberry Protect to no results.

  PS I see some ".bak" in "file backup" and a "bbm.db" one step backward, if that helps.

  Well, Thx, I crossed the .bak files and found an old copy of backup who had contacts. I had to manually select the items to RESTORE well. I have verified that BBM related files. I resolved to the fact that it's the best I can do. My contacts I added said that I disappear from the list here, I guess they were not visible from my end. So I guess that the rest will be re-add me in due time.

  I recently did an update on the applications and I restarted my phone (as they usually do), which was yesterday or the day before. However only today, I realized that I can't BBM or App World. I did almost everything I can. Click View all, did a battery pull, turn off the phone and he started to come back. sought the phone for him, switch application, clicked to see if it was open it.   This answer applies to these two posters above.

  Connect your phone to your PC via the USB port.  Open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Click device in up and restoration in the menu dropdown.  (If you did no backup, go to the next paragraph).  Choose the most recent backup file, making sure that it is checked and click on restore or OK or anything that is the command prompt.  This should restore everything on your phone correctly.

  If you did a backup on your phone, open Desktop software, click device up and update the menu drop down.  They tell you your phone is updated (if it doesn't, choose the update if you wish.  Otherwise, go to my sense).  In this box, you'll see other Versions.  Click on that and make sure that your current version, probably the one on the top of the list, is checked.  Click Update and wait outside.  All icons and programs must be restored to your phone.

  Let us know if that helps.
