Finally, after spending more than 100 hours to talk to HP India Tech support, HP said send it to us.  I sent by FedEX in 2 days.  Now a week later, but is still not arrived.  Can what kind of help I expect with this lemon of a computer.  The repair center works miracles, or they just he box upwards and send it back?

    I bought a Toshiba Satellite model laptop PSAF6A-02H01N, serial number 87068917Q from a local retailer in September 2007.

    I'm not asking / waiting for Toshiba to come and take over my computer repair - I want just a piece of paper manufacturer approved = service form, or even to simply be told what was fixed, from a past period.

    As I said above, I have no paper or an oral account of the inspection/repair company sometime between 2007 and 2008 while my camera was under warranty Toshiba and I'd like to get it. Can someone help or help direct me to a service that will help me?

  • Guaranteed repair problems

    I have problems with the Toshiba Service Agents in the United Kingdom.

    I bought a Satellite L450D just before Christmas at Amazon. Everthing was OK for a couple months off, then I started having problems with the battery on the laptop. Even if the battery is fully charged when the computer was turned off the battery run completely within 12-24 hours.

    I've notified Toshiba of the fault and received their authorized agents more information to the United Kingdom. They quickly organized collection off the laptop computer and via online repair tracking, I could see the fault was confirmed and ordered a new PCB. This has been made and the laptop was returned. However when the laptop has been delivered it proved to still be defective. I informed the service agent again who organize the collection. Once again via their online service repair that I could see that the fault was again confirmed however they then proceed to order and change the PCB even twice. Laptop was returned again with the same defect.

    Laptop has now been defective for more than a month and Service agent has now changed the same PCB 3 times which did not correct the fault.

    Toshiba have only 1 level of service to the United Kingdom.

    It was my first laptop and I'm totally fed up with it, it is possible to recover your money from Toshiba.

    Unfortunately, I think that there is no policy that defines the guaranteed repair time. It also depends on the availability of spare parts Toshiba. Maybe your authorized service provider is still waiting for a new card of mother or any other room

    I don t know it, but if you would call and ask them friendly, they can tell you why it takes a little more time as usual. Explain the situation that they have the laptop already 3 weeks and you need it immediately. From my own experience, I can say that the technicians are friendly and do his best

  • Reference Dell 3100cn impression faded and white bands on the right side

    I have a Dell 3100cn that has about 3 years and I started to experience 2 lines of dots down the right side in each of the CMYK about 1 inch from the right margin.  With some additional impressions, points has continued and the right margin collapsed to some.  When he meets it, I inspected the original drum, which had 13 000 impressions color top and found a pattern of noticeable wear on the roll right where the points emerged, which is also in the middle of the faded area.

    Since then, I've replaced all 4 cartridges (no change) and the drum (this removed the points) and the points are gone, but faded on the right side are always present and sometimes introduce a little yellow toner into a stipe as well.  Any ideas what may be the cause - possibly a roller needs to be replaced?

    Did you clean the stuff off the coast of the new drum unit? There SCRATCHES, left on the drum, after that you do? If so, this drum unit is "toast".

    Once again, excellent photos. Nothing seems to be "demonstrably" false except for one thing... I noticed you are using 3rd party toner carts. In this model of printer, which is bad news. I'm sure they are cheaper, but in the long run, you'll end up paying a lot more to get your machine fixed.

    3 toners (in this printer class) do not have the same OEM toner xerographic properties. In your case, it seems as if the black toner from the black developer is agglutination at the drum, preventing all other colors to make an efficient transfer. You will need to replace all the 4 cpl developer and all 4 carts of toner (with original parts) just to be sure. Not cheap.

    By law, manufacturers of printers are prohibited by the "us clay Act and Sherman Act ' and the 'Canada competition law" and other laws of you ask to use their cartridges. That said, this Bill does not mean that OEMs are responsible for repairs when downgraded 3rd party or products are used in their machines. Also, this Act does not require manufacturers to share their toner formulation... usually a trade secret... with their competitors.

    Some manufacturers use special formulas for their toner. All 3xxx/5xxx series Dell COLOR laser printers fall into this category. IF 'other' toner is used in the machine and the machine is damaged, repair of that circumstance is NOT covered by your warranty. In other words, you will have to pay for the repairs until the machine is fixed, then, the machine is back on warranty. I know from personal experience that Dell has this policy.

    I know your warranty not on now... but it will cost you some $$ if you want to restore this machine perfect condition. More than $$ printer is interesting, but it's your decision. (you might think of parting with the machine on eBay)

    Personally, I no longer buy third party carts... NONE of the 3rd party resellers ask if they will guarantee repair of the printer costs if their product causes damage. If they say yes, ask in writing.

    I got a new 6s in November with an otterbox and was one day and leaning over a railing hand locomotive (which I didn't think would be enough pressure to cause this) and when I went to check my phone, the screen was black.  I therefore took the otter box out of him and noticed it was slightly bent.  I can see the screen if I shine a flashlight on the subject, but I had to remove the sim card and put in my 5s so I had a camera to work.

    I took the 6 s down to my Verizon dealer and asked what was the matter, and he claimed that the drive has been damaged, now it does not illuminate the screen upward.  Screen did NOT get cracked or broken, but the metal casing of the phone is made with a slight curvature.  Warranty this cover?  If he someone I send for repair?  I live in the middle of nowhere, where there is no such thing as a corporate store or anything of the such, where I got my phone was just a small cabin in a small shopping center.

    Would like any suggestions!

    There is not a "dimmer" for the iPhone.  There is a sensor of ambient light.  At ey that you tried to slide up to turn on the control panel and adjust the brightness it?

    If this does not work, the folded case could be considered as accidental damage and is not covered by the warranty.  But you might pay the elimination of guaranteed repair cost and get a new phone (the cost is less if you have AppleCare +).

    Some of the keys don't work recently because of water damage.
    If I start the laptop I get a beep for error and now I work from an external keyboard.
    But my question is where can I get a new keyboard for my Satellite P200-1 has 4.

    I can place the keyboard in me and I don t want to send my laptop
    to treat because it can take weeks/months.

  • Intermittent Bluetooth on Portege R500

    I have a hardware problem intermittent with the Bluetooth adapter in my two - month, Portege R500 and I would appreciate any comments or second opinions before you attack me it as a warranty issue.

    I use a Bluetooth mouse with my R500 and it was fine for the first five weeks. Then I kept noticing that the mice would be dead for a few seconds at a time. Whenever it happens that the machine does the 'Vista' connect device or its "disconnect device" (a kind of twang). Since yesterday, it has reached the point where there are about ten twang events an hour but the Bluetooth remains ever work for more than a few seconds.

    I found that an easy way to monitor the issue is to disable the external Bluetooth devices (to totally eliminate their effects), leave open device with the Bluetooth expanded element Manager and increase the volume up to hear the "twang" that signals an event of default. Every time that happens refresh the window Dev man and objects reappear or disappear from the entrance of Bluetooth. When everything is ok the following five recommendations are present, but now, for most of the time, there are only RFCOMM.

    When I run the diagnostics of Bluetooth for 'check communication with Bluetooth device' translates 'bankrupt '. The Bluetooth stack was originally v5.10.14 (T).     You're right about this Johnson. If they see that you have removed the screws on your own it can void the warranty. Be careful with this. You have very expensive laptop and warranty should be valid or maybe you should expand it buy an extended warranty.

    Some keys (y h and 6) on my Qosmio G40-10 do not work for some unknown reason and I'll have to use the keyboard for on-screen typing.
    I bought my laptop at pcworld.co.uk while I was in the United Kingdom, but now I'm in Mauritius (Africa).

    I have still 1 year international warranty. But there is no direct toshiba manufacturer in Mauritius. I find a few representatives of service provider for my country, on the toshiba site and gave them a call, but they are not prepared to recognize the warranty. Is this possible?
    I don't really know what to do. Suggestions are very much appreciated.

  • My Magic Trackpad guard unload its batteries

    My Magic Trackpad (21.5-inch iMac) has worked well since I got about five months ago.  Recently, I received a warning of battery low so I changed the batteries.  The replacement pair lasted only a few days before I had to change again.  When I started the computer yesterday it could not connect to the trackpad at all.  Once more, I changed the batteries and it connected correctly.  Now I get another warning of low battery after only a day of average use.  Replacement batteries were of two different packs.  I'm starting to think that the trackpad is faulty, but before starting down the road of guaranteed repair is there anything else I should look at?

    Just take it to your local Apple store, they should be glad to swap it out.

  • Pavilion dv7-4270us: dv7-4270us bluetooth does not work after driver update

    I recently updated my drivers from the HP website.  Now, I know it was a mistake that bluetooth has not been installed correctly.    And there is no option "driver restore.  I tried several times sp50180, according to the HP website and also tried the old version listed (sp49153).   They old version did not install correctly and a new seemed especially, but none of my Bluetooth devices that used to work to do now.   I can 'connect to' some devices but they cannot transfer photos, connect to the audio, etc.  Some devices that are used to work can still be seen when I say "add a bluetooth device".  After installation, in the Device Manager, I find the following:

    The radio Bluetooth: Bluetooth Broadcom 2070 and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator (both working properly)

    Human Interface Device: Bluetooth Remote Control (works)

    Modem: Modem Standard via a Bluetooth #2 link (works)

    Network cards (all working correctly):

    Device Bluetooth (personal area network)

    (Heading RFCOMM Protocol TDI) Bluetooth device

    (and my other network devices, all functioning properly also)

    Other devices: this is the problem area.  After installation and reboot, I always find myself with 10 entries "Bluetooth Peripheral Device", all with a yellow exclaimation mark and all say real estate "Other devices", "unknown" (GSM) and the location is "on Microsft Bluetooth enumerator". "."

    I tried right click and uninstall it, but when I reboot they come back to the top, search windows update, but can not find a driver and go straight to the "other devices".  I also tried to uninstall the "Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth 3.0" 'Programs and features' and right-click to delete each listed above bluetooth driver and then run the sp50180 again and it will install without error and find the same above drivers that work and leave the same 10 does not.  And my Bluetooth headphones (two different ones) is more work (or can be seen) and my Bluetooth phone can be 'connected' but any attempt to transfer fails.

    I've exhausted all ideas on the web, I could find, and none have helped.  I tried to load a restore point, but after having so many pilot facilities, there is no point of restoration with the appropriate driver.  A full backup of the system on another drive, but much changed the applications and data files so I cannot restore it.  Unless someone knows how to use a full backup of the Windows 7 system to restore only the Bluetooth driver.

    Another idea is that the driver update that messed up things maybe changed some other file or a registry setting that is not corrected by sp50180, but that seems unlikely.

    Is it possible to manually install each of the 10 'other devices' drivers?  If I right click on a defective device and select "update driver software" no matter if I select the drive C:\ or F:\ (my driver and software download drive) or automatic search (including online) - it does not find the driver files.  I also tried to select properties and 'put to day driver' but the same results.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I found a solution. I received a call of support in Mumbai.  HP gave me a free call because they were not able to set a guarantee repair questions, so gave me the free support call.  I took an hour, but ended up the solution was very simple.

    There were these problems:

    1) 10 'other devices' in device with the exclamation points Manager can be uninstalled, but still were automatically reinstalled with the same exclamation point.  No pilot was available to the public for them.

    (2) my phone under Bluetooth devices could connect but would not photos transfer.

    (3) neither my helmet Bluetooth would not work.

    The solution was simply to go to 'Show Bluetooth devices' and right-click on each and select 'Delete device' (even if dimmed they might still be revoked).  After all have been abducted there were no "other devices" in Device Manager.  I then added each Bluetooth device again.  This was very well all work.  I also noticed my phone was five drivers "Bluetooth Device" was so 5 of the 10 exclamation points himself.

    For some reason, deletion of the driver in the Device Manager has not deleted the list "Bluetooth Device".  And by uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, it does not work.

    If the answer is simple.  Before removing the drivers Bluetooth first remove all Bluetooth devices.
