• Mac problems due to the memory

  I have problems with my Mac doesn't turn is not on. He turns sometimes and sometimes does nothing for days. I've read a lot online, and it seems to be the memory of the origin of the problem.

I got up to 310 GB of used memory, but when I click in disk utility there are two levels of "Macintosh".   I live in Tasmania where there is no official Apple store and authorized service location is closed on weekends so I'm pretty stuck for a few weeks before I can get down to one.

  Any advice on how to free up memory on the first level of the "Macintosh" or if it's still causing my problem with the Mac not turn not not on?

  You seem to be talking about the space on your hard drive rather than 'memory '.

  Try to boot into recovery mode - if your OS is 10.7 or later - now pressed the command and R keys at startup. Choose utility disk, then run first aid on your startup disk. It is one that is indented to the right and is usually called Macintosh HD.

We tried everything, but my mac loses the connection with the printer each time after one or two print jobs...   VMware View 5.3.5

  I just wanted to update that I got it to work.  We are on the Horizon to display 7 on the backend and it seems that this user has downloaded an earlier version of the Client VMware Horizon.  I don't know about the version feature cross-as you say you execute view 5.3.5 but switch to version 4.0 (release 16/06/16) fixed the problem for me.

  Solved the problem through support to the customer.  Had bought the program through a

  name of the vendor who sent a zip file. Customer support had me download a trial version of

  Acrobat and enter my license number. Worked.

• Link between PC and Mac problem

  Hello.  We have 3 Mac running OSX 10.5.x and Adobe Std CS5 and they share their creations of Illustrator, images, etc., on a NAS file server.  Recently, I downloaded the CS5.5. trial version for a PC running under Windows XP Pro and on the same network with the same file access and security.  All machines use CIFS to access files.

  PC user will create an Illustrator file in one of these shared folders on the NAS and the link in images of an another shared folder on the NAS and save.  When a Mac user opens the Illustrator file, however, none of the links are valid for the user Mac is to add a link to these images and re - save the file.  Should what changes I do on the PC side to stop this problem?  Must the PC be on CS5, too?

  Open the file on the mac, in the links palette choose an image missing, and in the links flyout choose infomration link to show you where AI is looking for the file.

  Could be a problem of config on the server with the way directories are perceived by the side mac. The simplest solution is to save the images next to the illustrator file.

  Might be a problem file naming using characters that are not allowed as :/ %-in the name of the file or and linking folder_name.

  There is a box "Accept" you must check before the install button is active. It's a dark background so it could not be clearly visible, but you must accept the terms before you can install it.

• Dreamweaver CS4 and IE 5.2 for Mac problem

  I'm testing my new/first site.  I use Dreamweaver CS4. Horizontal Spry menu bar works very well in Internet Explorer and Safari, but not in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.2 for Mac 5.2.3 (5815.1). The menu bar horizontal becomes vertical and the submenus are not available. I ran to each Web page and my CSS files browser compatibility tests and they don't come back "no problems found". What can I do to fix the problem?  I have a PC (Vista) and use my neighbor's Mac to check the browser. Thank you.

  Don't worry if your site doesn't work at all in Internet Explorer for Mac.  It's outdated software that has not been developed since Jaguar/Panther.  In no way reflects IE on Windows, and statistics show the majority of Mac users use Safari or Firefox with Camino and opera in behind them.
