hardisk

I have a HP Pavillion DV7 with a 1 TB hard drive.  Looking at the drive Bay, I noticed there are in fact two drive bays.  However, it has no power to second hard drive cable.  In my view, that the data cable is in place.  My question is:

What I can or is it possible to install another hard drive in this notebook?  I am tech saavy and could do the work myself if I knew what exactly I was supposed to do.

Altogether. If I had your exact model I could direct you to the specific part, but a store called www.newmodeus.com has second drive hard caddies and cables for each type of dv7. The type of carriage and cable has varied widely with the dv7-1000,-2000,-3000, series etc. and you MUST get exactly the right one. I'll assume, you have a dv7-7000 (maybe wrong) and this is the part:

It is running windows 2003 sp2 VMs on esx 4.0

you will have no problems that extends to a basic disk.  You can do it online as AndreTheGiant pointed out using extpart.  Or if you are not comfortable doing it this way, use a helper VM and run diskpart to extend the volume.

  • Card mother compatible ECS MCP73VT-PM please. I need a motherboard that can hold in HP IMEDIA X 2414

Boots of my HP DESKTOP IMEDIA X 2414 (bought from PC World UK 2.5 years) is no longer.
    TECHNICAL DATA:
    MATERIAL:
    IMEDIA X 2414
Intel Core 2 QUAD processor Q6600
    3 GB DDR2 #320 GB 7200 RPM SATA HARDISK
NVIDIA: GEFORCE 7050 up to 1407 MB
    P/N: PB80128501
    [Personal information]
PROBLEM: Switch on computer and you get NO SIGNAL on monitor LCD ACER.
    MY STEP BY STEP TOUBLESHOOTING:
1 Unlpug monitor and a card on my laptop (very good for my laptop boots) so WATCH not IS NOT THE PROBLEM.
2 replace MY power supply with a new power supply, no change (IE NO SIGNAL appears ON the screen LCD ACER), PSU (Power Supply Unit) is not the problem.
    3. REMOVE 2 DDR2 RAM cards, switch on the desk, and I get a continuous beep. Apparently
This suggests that the motherboard (ECS MCP73VT-PM) is good.
4 reinstall the 2 DRR2 RAM cards, insert a new external graphics card, unplug the monitor from
Graphic INTEGRATED card and plug it into an external graphics card, turn on the computer, result: ALWAYS
NO SIGNAL on the monitor, so graphics card isn't necessarily the problem.
    5. extract the whole motherboard of the computer case, use my magniflying glass to inspect
all the capacitors. No capacitor doesn't show any corrosion to their background, no bump on top, without leakage
any where. Then I remove the (intel Core 2 QUAD processor Q6600) processor, check it carefully.
    no leakage.
(6 reinsert the processor, turn on the computer, yet I get NO SIGNAL ON monitor)

    Question: What is my problem
Answer: My motherboard is faulty and I can't find the fault.
Now, I want to replace the motherboard together and then to reuse my 2 DDR2 RAM and processor cards
on a motherboard which must be geometrically compatible with ECS MCP73VT-PM motherboard.
Could you tell me what kind of mother I have to buy. I am absolutely sure that my 2 DDR2 RAM cards are still usable because I tested them on another computer that can boot up. I do not know
on the processor, because I was not able to test it on another machine.
Help, please. MY new motherborad should be able to adapt in the case and has compatible
    audio.

Very difficult to execute applications of external storage, because a part of the application must be registered in the registry and .dll files must be in the/windows folder when even though you may not entirely separate programs on an external storage medium.

You might consider a card (SD) digital blocked to extend storage. A fast SD card of class 10 can be installed and pretty much converted to permanent storage, you can carry with you inside the laptop. Data and programs can be installed on the SD card. I saw them up to 512 GB.

    Hello

    1. I have a digitizer 5142 with a resolution of 14 (16) bit. can I change this rate of 8-bit scanning, or can I get a signal to 8 bits using 5142 I

think I can using neither scope config. If yes also means I increased the speed of 200MBS 100MBS (since I am only

using 8-bit scanning). increases the speed of transfer of the data from my memory shipped to hardisk only or both are applicable

2 - I read this specification 5142 when I stumbled upon two things that I surrounded as JPG attachments

    a. filter anit-alisasing has a bandwidth of 40 Mhz, and default 5142 uses what it means. Can I use

some other external down converter instead of 5600 and which can acqiure 40 Mhz bandwidth at any center frequency and I can feed to

5142 to get digitized and writre a file on my disk. .i can't use DAMA since I use a step-down external frequency converter. How using or

    (b) the other is true flat bandwidth = 0.4 * rate and bandwidth flat complex sample = 0.8 * sampling frequency that we mean by these two.

    Concerning

    MADD

    Hi malala.

    1. correct me if I'm wrong. Insofar as I have defended frequency translation means that if I have acquired a signal at 50 MHZ with a 40 MHZ Bandwidth (F_high = 70 Mhz and F_low = 30 Mhz). My frequency step-down converter. If I select the option enable translation frequency and frequency set to 20 MHZ (option to activate with the SDC thus) signal that I have gained is now translated to 20 MHz (C.F), the maximum frequency to 40 Mhz and Minimum to 0 Mhz. Is it so? If this is correct, then I think that my Ghost will meet the requirement of the spectrum of nyquist and won't be mitigated...

Not quite fact-frequency translation used to take your signal of a certain frequency IF complex base band (centered around 0 Hz). If you set your frequency of 20 MHz, 20 MHz will tune to your NCO and you will acquire some bandwidth, based on IQ rates, around this central frequency. For example, if you used 20 MHz bandwidth (rate of IQ = 25. MECH / s) and a center frequency of 20 MHz, get you 10 MHz to 30 MHz of frequency and translate this to baseband. Now you have your frequency content at +/-10 MHz.

To do what you seem to want to do, you must set your frequency to 50 MHz as well as your IQ rate to 1.25xBW = 50 MECH. / s. This will mean your 40 MHz BW from 50 MHz to complex baseband.

    2. also mention that I can put this decimation is property invoke node or filter specifications.

Decimation is another property of the OSP and the mechanism of the clock. Your decimation is defined by your IQ rate compared to your time base sample clock. For example, by default, we use a time base 100 MECH. / s for the 5142. If I put my IQ rate 2 MECH. / s, I will use a factor of the decimation of 50. Our table of decimation emphasises, however, that, in the range of 12 to 4 096, we can only use decimation integers that are multiples of four. So, we will eventually be forced in this case to 48 and a sampling rate of 2.0833 MECH. / s. You can then perform resampling to 2 MECH. / s in the software.

3 - something else enable and disable the noise/anti-aliasing filter. Combination of maximum frequency of niscope configuration characteristic.vi. If I put it in noise filter 20 Mhz is on now and when I started 35 Mhz filter anti-aliasing is enabled. Is it so?

That's right - your maximum frequency setting to be in one of these filters will allow this way. If I put a maximum frequency of 19 MHz, the filter is activated. If I put a max of 30 MHz frequency, the Anti-aliasing filter is enabled. 0 will default, and -1 will allow full BW.

The hard drive is faulty and must be replaced. Sometimes it will start for a while - but you will get random errors. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If this is not the case, a laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. • M6-1205dx Windows 7 screen Freeze/Pixilation

I got my computer from windows 8 for windows 7. I did it before I had done all the research on how this is something that will be super hard and give me a lot of problems. Evil goes through what I did so that we can try to understand what went wrong.

I tried to install windows 7, he said he did not support Legacy mode enabled, then I have partitioned the hard drive and erased everything, I used the GParted program. I was able to install windows 7 after that. I didn't think it through that I had not all drivers readily avalible to install on my computer. I made a post here and has been gently guided to were I could get some work drivers for my computer.

Now I am Reciving is that. I at randome times screen Get gel/pixilation - the pixilation isn't all over the screen right into small sections or small lines on the screen, the only way to deal with this is to make a manual stop by holding the power button. The other question I am reciving is also at randome times my computer will restart, and then start back upward with the error message that allows me to choose if I want to start in safe mode or not.

I understand that I could probably reinstall windows 8 and solve all my problems, but I don't have a windows disc 8 to do this. Any help would be really great.

This is a brand new computer I just picked up 12/06/2013 did a bad Hardisk sectors check no..  Do you have a RAM check all past and I have also not found that any errors in the event log.

    Hey mmacegan91,

Windows 7 is not supported on your platform, no official drivers are available for that combination of operating system and platform, and so questions are likely.

That said, the best option is to install an operating system supported, that the system has been designed - in this case, Windows 8. If you did not create recovery media before you erase your drive, you will need to order some directly contacting HP Support (800-HP-INVENT).

I do a full reinstall as previous hard drive was no longer functional.

I installed the XP Home and Office XP Professional operating system from the original disks.

I have a wireless internet connection via VirginMedia using IE7.

Automatic updates says it won't work because the system is not up-to-date - not very useful.

I try to make updates in the order and have read various bits of advice on the Microsoft Web site on the upgrade: for example all upgrades are cumulative, this SP2 requires no SP1; but SP3 requires first of SP1a or SP2. That's why I tried to use SP1a Express download, after which I got the above error message.

In your response to Russ Maxon, it has been suggested that he go directly to SP2, but it doesn't seem to be an independent download for SP2 for home use, only for network deployment.

Thus, the crucial questions are, exactly where full versions of SP1a and SP2 are drawn.

  • Computer repaired and returned with various breakdowns

I recently bought a new E5-411, installed win 8.1 and everything worked well until what after a few months the computer doesn't turn on. I made a trip of five hours the center of repair of Acer in Phuket (Thailand). They replaced the motherboard, but when the computer was returnd to me the touchpad did not work, the engineer said that I needed to reinstall Windows. I travelled to where I live has spent several hours to reinstall the operating system by various methods, eventually doing a clean install on formatted and newly partioned hardisk... still the touchpad does not work. I telephoned the engineer at the repair center and he said that because the motherboard has been changed my original windows would no longer work and I need them to reinstall at any store of the local computer. This isn't a logic for me maybe someone can enlighten me.

There was an update of the bios for this model on the Acer support site, a fix for problems with the touchpad and earn 8.1, I flashed it but still TP does not.

Another thing, I discovered, is that my original s/n was NX. MLQST.002 now he has changed in NB MLQ11.00A, although the MB model and version are the same (EA41_BM type 2 - A01). Could be the source of the problem? The NB. Replacement of MLQ11.00A seems to have been produced earlier than my original MB. As my machine is under warranty, why didn't he replace it with another NX. MLQST.002. when I enter my old full s/n Acer support site looking for my model Aspire E5-411 if displayed in the results, when I put the number changed in it comes up with no results. Can someone explain what is happening?

    Thanks in advance

    brogreg,

Looks like it needs to be repaired again. I know that you said you contacted them, but in fact you inquire about having brought to get again reviewed by the repair center? I know that the drive is not just around the corner, but I think it's maybe the best place to start.

    Test the other hard drive.

Go to the website of your computer manufacturer > find specifications of hardware in your computer (hard drive) > access the Web Hard Drive from the manufacturer site > download their diagnostic software > make a Bootable disc > test your hard drive.

And run the F12 as I advised you to do so.
