Having difficulties to install Blackberry link

I downloaded the link Blackberry to my computer but I don't see the button 'Next' at the bottom right of Page 1.  The next/back options in the upper left corner are the two "grayed out"!  How to run properly?

  • Having difficulties to install printer Brother MFC-J470DW.

I called brother Support and after two hours of trying everything they could think of, the tech told me I should call Microsoft, that the problem was with them.  When I start the installation disc, it goes only so far and then it stops.  Gets to the extent where "connect cable" and turn on your machine.  And then it just sits there doing nothing.  I tried the system recovery and it did not help.  How to get this problem fixed?

I called brother Support and after two hours of trying everything they could think of, the tech told me I should call Microsoft, that the problem was with them.  When I start the installation disc, it goes only so far and then it stops.  Gets to the extent where "connect cable" and turn on your machine.  And then it just sits there doing nothing.  I tried the system recovery and it did not help.  How to get this problem fixed?

It sounds like a problem to brother or one you won't easily resolved in a forum like this one and the first tip that you're going to get:

Restoration of the machine to factory default (probably an OEM, not Microsoft, method) after the backup of your important data and collect your keys/serial installation media and product numbers.  Then install latest drivers from device hardware and all updates from Microsoft including the printer after you have restored to the factory settings (probably an OEM, not Microsoft, method) and then install all the other stuff.

Why this review here?  If the people who made and take over the device (alone, you declare having questioned) could not fix things - and you gave NO DETAILS on what they had you try - you could lose your time here discussing the same things again without the expertise of those who intimately know their own device, wrote the software you are trying to install and tested on the operating system you try to install it on--or you could start from a State of CLEANLINESS and last KNOWN GOOD configuration and if it fails, then - be able to solve problems with those to the brother or simply return the product as a failure.

Now - if you really think it sounds like a pain - provide details on what is and was not considered, etc..

    Other suggestions:

    If you use this:
    Full driver & software package
... as your starting point (this is for your device), we'll simplify and get the printer installed first.

Simply download the driver (assuming that Windows 7 64-bit, another bit of information to provide):Printer Scanner Driver & driver for local connections

... chill out, go to the folder where you unzipped it so you can find the full path and...

    1. Open devices and printers, click Start , and then, on the start menu, click devices and printers.

    2. Click Add a printer.

    3. In the Add Printer Wizard, click Add a local printer.

    4. Choose a printer port page, make sure you use a button existing port and the recommended printer port are selected and then click Next.

    5. On the installation of the printer driver page, select the model and manufacturer of the printer, and then click Next.

      • Click on disk, and then navigate to the folder where the printer driver (see above).

    6. Perform the steps in the wizard and then click Finish.

What he did add a printer to your printer list?  Can you print?

In addition, in all their troubleshooting, they you save the driver Package & complete software and do a right click on it and run as administrator?

  • Having difficulties to install Snow Leopard Server on Fusion 4

I upgraded from Fusion 3 to 4. I want to use the merger to run Snow Leopard Server under Leo, so I use a few applications of Rosetta. When I try to install SLS from the disc, it starts and stops with the message:

"The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system.

Im trying to install on a MacBook Pro i7 quad core 8 GB of RAM. The merger is the version 4.0.1

    What should I do?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bill White

    Hi Bill,

You should be able to install and configure 10.6.3 on the Core 2 Duo Mac Mini.  If you were to then move it as-is on the MBP, it fails at startup in the same way that you see with the installation program now... however... If, although the host of Core 2 Duo, you apply each update is available via software update, turn off the prompt, then move it into the Core i7, there is a good chance that it will work (I think 10.6.8 supports your Core i7 CPU)...  Definitely worth a shot.

    See you soon,.

  • Having difficulties to install CS3 after activation on the old system

I've had CS3 on a XP system for almost 4 years now and need to move to a new PC (Win 7 Home Premium) to proceed.  The product of CS3 is on a DVD via a download which installed on the XP system.  I disabled the CS3 Suite on the PC XP and now seeks to install on PC Win 7.  The installation program starts, and then asks for Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium - as she asked this DVD or file?  It's on the same DVD as the setep.exe file that runs.  Choices are OK and cancel.  OK nothing and cancel finishes the installation.  I have all the keys to avtivate products, but I don't get that far.  Need help please.

I don't know what could cause this error.

Would you copy all the files to install on your computer, somewhere on the hard disk, and then run the installer from there?

Could you try and see if it helps? Make the same mistake then too?

Also, are there other setup.exe, somewhere higher in the folder hierarchy, or is it the only one?

  • Having difficulties to install Catalyst! Setup will not initialize!

    I use a Mac.

I downloaded Flash Catalyst beta 2 four times and each time the "initialization Installer" window that appears first when you launch the Setup from the disk image file, nothing happens. Charge of the blue bar and a file named 'PDApp' launches in my dock. The loading bar "initialization Installer" 100% and disappears, but the file "PDApp" does nothing. When I right click on its icon my my dock, he said "does not not, the Application" so I Force-Quit it. I used the disk utility to repair permissions, I've made sure were quit all other applications and windows were closed. I unplugged my external hard drive (1 TB) and my drive time machine (which are the same thing, just partitioned). I tried to install Catalyst four times over three days. I don't have Beta 1, but I have CS4 Design Premium. However, I have Mac OS Snow Leopard v10.6.1, and I think it's maybe the problem.

    My hardware:

Early 2008 MacBook Pro with 2.4 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor

    4 GB OF DDR2 RAM

200 GB HARD drive, about 130 remaining

    V10.6.1 Snow Leopard OS

    Hi Chris,

    Is your problem solved?

In the case where it persists could you try either of the following-

    1. rename the settings.sol in your user to "~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash\ Player/macromedia.com/support/flashplayer/sys/settings.sol" folder and try to install again.

2 or create a new user on your computer, log in via the new user and try to install again.

Let me know if the problem persists and do not attach the PDApp.log file in the user folder to ' ~ / Library/Logs/PDApp.log'

  • Software BlackBerry Blackberry Link will not install on Windows 8 (64-bit) portable

    Hello

I try to install Blackberry Link on my laptop that is running Windows 8 (64-bit), but without success.

On the Blackberry.com website I download the file "100_b075_multilanguage" (have tried both hit "run" and save it and then hit "run").

After a context menu titled "Configuring installshield" that contains a progress bar (which does not progress) another contextual menu titled "Windows Installer" appears.

The first line of this new pop-up says "Windows Installer V 5.0.9200 16384.

The second line says ' msiexec/option [optional parameter] '.

There is then a load of text showing install Options / Display Options but no way to select one of these options.

Downstairs is an OK button and when I press this process stops and returns me to the windows of the laptop screen.

Things I've tried without success: -.

    • Disable the antivirus
    • Change the User Account Control (UAC) to "never notify".
    • Restart the portable computer in "safe mode".
    • Reinstall Windows 8 for the built-in recovery partition

Would appreciate any help / suggestions on how to solve this problem and get Blackberry installed link.

    Thank you, Dave.

I had the same problem trying to install BlackBerry Desktop, and I Luckily (finally!) been able to remedy.

Going around with rename the .exe to .zip and unzip it into a folder somewhere.

  • BlackBerry software your unit is trying to install the link

    Is what nonsense this?

Link is installed on the computer that I attach my Z10 for. So why has this message started appearing whenever I come home and fix the phone again to charge the battery and add or subtract files? The page that appears is headed "Installing Blackberry link"

    Can find no reason.  .  .  .

    Hello

If the LINK is not already installed on the PC, then indeed, there are a routine to attempt an automatic installation when you connect a device BB10. For some reason, it should no longer be grateful that your PC has already installed the LINK. I recommend a clean removal and re-installation of the LINK... then when asked if you attach your BB to your PC via the USB port.
