  • Problem turn off my computer. Must press the button twice

I have a HP DC7800 computer and, after a full system rebuild some time ago, I noticed that I have to go through the process of 'disable' (via the Start button) twice before the will of computing power.  I'm sure that the computer has not always behaved this way so I think something is configured incorrectly.  Maybe a bad driver has been selected or a setting is not set correctly.  Otherwise, the computer works normally.  Can anyone offer ideas?

I discovered the cause and thought I'd post a response so that someone else who has this problem could benefit.
I had to rebuild this computer over the weekend and noticed that the above problem arise until I loaded Copernic Desktop Search (home).  I have now deleted and the computer has been restored to normal behavior.
I am sure that the presence of Copernic does not introduce any other problems and can be useful to put up with the problem discussed earlier.

  • MacBook Pro froze access to iCloud tent and now I can not turn off my computer

I am writing this note on a computer that has locked me out of cold button Poweroff or reboot. My system preferences requested my password, I entered, press "Sign In" and he currently "try to connect" for about 15 minutes now.  I tried clicking Apple-> restart, ctrl + alt + delete and the power button. My computer does not restart, saying that preferences system interrupted stop down. But I can't quit System preferences. My questions are twofold:

    (1) how to turn off my computer and restart it?

    (2) how do I remove this computer iCloud? Or at least prevent it from connect to iCloud? It never worked and it just bugs the heck out of me.

To force the closing down, hold the power button until the screen goes black. You may well find that the connection attempt is not reappear on a restart; You should if you want to be able to go to system preferences > iCloud and click on disconnect.

  • Windows 8.1 message 'you could not complete updates, by undoing the changes, do not turn off your computer.

    Greetings,

I installed updates in my Windows 8.1 partition.  Then he asked me to restart the computer, and the message "we could not finish updates, exchange loss, do not turn off your computer" appeared and was on-screen for hours.  I thought to reinstall bootcamp but I have software in the Windows partition that cannot be recovered.  I read that one of them starts Windows in 'Safe' Mode, but this is not possible. I use a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015) OS X 10.10.5

How can I fix this without wiping the Windows partition and lose my software?

  • Default configuration of the Windows updates. Restoration of the changes. Do not turn off your computer

Hi, I just refreshed my laptop that I got a few drops FPS at random. Initially, it worked fine, but after a while before instaled Norton started to cause me problems. At this time I uninstalled it and when he asked me to computer restatr now, I did. Now I'm stuck with this message window loading. Restart the computer from time to time, but the message is always the same: failure of configuration of Windows updates. Restoration of the changes. Do not turn off your computer.
    Computer: hp pavilion n006sm
    Operating system: win 8 pre-installed
At the moment I'm stuck on this window for over an hour and nothing has changed

Seems that problem solved by itself. As I correctly uninstalled Norton, I just put my automatic updates and restarted my laptop again. He installed the updates with no problem and its working fine. Seems that Norton was really the problem, will keep you informed.

Thank you for using Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

Michael Murphy has provided these steps already; I'll just say it in a different way.

Because you can't go to your office, I suggest that you start your computer in safe MODE. Next to normal mode, it is a different way to connect to your computer and makes a few changes when the problem.

HOW TO START YOUR COMPUTER IN SAFE MODE

    1. Restart your computer if it is running.
    2. Press the F8 key after your computer powers initially.
    3. Once you see the menu Advanced Startup Options , you can stop tapping.
    4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
    5. Select Safe Mode with network and press enter.
    6. You should see loading drivers and then Please wait.
    7. You should then be on the Welcome screen.
