HD space eaten by Movies

My mid-2012 MBA shows Go 74,11 used by "movies", but the two movies in iTunes show as being only 10.7 Gb. I only 20 or so f. available, so what is eating my HD space?

It is a common problem. I would open a Finder window, select Macintosh HD and sort by size, so the greatest things end by upstairs. Discover areas in your computer desktop or pictures and music files and see what is taking place. Perhaps invest in an external hard drive to store the stuff you want to keep but don't need on your computer.

Films could also mean things you've taken with your phone too, so keep that in mind.

Re: cancel the mapping.  Some points to remember.  Cancel the MAPPING does not work on the replicated volumes, it's either sync replication or point-in-time standard.   Also according to the file system, it will not immediately reclaim the unused space on existing volumes.   Some file systems like VMware VMFS does not cancel the map on the fly, but offer a CLI utility to create large balloon files then delete and send him UNMAP commands simultaneously.

The basic rule is that you must have enough space to move the member selected out of the pool.   If this isn't the case, then the operation will not be allowed.  You may end up having to add the new Member to the pool until you can move a table.

Note: If you do not already done, then the site of Equallogic, with FW downloads is a document that describes how to set the value of disktimeout for several OS.   This allows the host (or the guest virtual machines) to cross the short breakdown during a firmware update or a failover of controllers due to a failure of the CM.

I have an annoying problem: when I use the swfobject code to integrate flash movies, it leaves a space under the film that breaks the design.  This occurs when you view it in Chrome or Firefox (on a mac), but not in Safari.  I've found that when I just paste in the code < object > single

  • Question: How can I change disk space for partitioned disks?

I'm having a problem using top too much disk space on my (vista) C drive on my satellite L500, now that I've filled with iTunes music files. I want to use a part of the E drive to 'Add' on the C drive space. Is this possible?

Also, could I just use the E-drive to add anyway, if I told iTunes to look for a few songs and C E for others? E has special properties like the recovery partition that can complicate things?

    Thanks if anyone can help!

    Paul

    Hello

1 delete all the files and unnecessary programs from the disk: C to the freed space.
    2. move all the movies, photos, music on the disk E;
    3. If you use the Download Manager to download files, you can change the path where to save the downloaded files in your local case: E

You can change the size of the partition in administrative tools in Control Panel. However, I prefer to use a partition manager paragon to resize partitions on my computers. Before add/create partitions, make sure that you have made a recovery disk.

  • Vista hard disk space disappears

Recently, I clicked to download an app for my phone and I was told I don't have space for it on my drive, so I started to clean things up to free space after deleting all my documents and my disk images, I only managed to get a 120 GB, 14 GB free I checked on my drive and 20 or so files listed on my drive large one is only 120 MB the rest are less then 40 MB each and several areway less then a MB. So, where is my space and how I get it back?

Please download the program TreeSizeFree [1] and run it. It shows you which folders use the entire space.

You are able to locate the folder that uses less space? Copy / move the unnecessary data.

  • How can I free up space on recovery (D) drive? I'm new with the computer...

    Hi Luis Sarubbi,.

The recovery drive is there for one purpose and that is to store the recovery image. You shouldn't have anything else on this drive other than the recovery files. As the space for the recovery disks is relatevely small the only way to free up a space is to move the files to another drive or deleting files. Why is it necessary that you free up space on this drive? Unless you know exactly the name of the recovery of all files, you might end up deleting or moving something that is necessary for recovery. If you end up doing it any subsequent recovery may fail.

Unless there is a specific reason for needing to free up space on this drive, for example, you have been storing document on disk files, then I season you quit well.

Delete Windows.old on your C: drive

Usually, but not always, after installation of Windows 7 you have a Windows.old folder on your C: drive that contains your files and data from the previous installation of Windows and allows you to go back to a previous version of Windows. Open Windows Explorer and under 'Computer' click the C: drive - if the Windows.old folder is on your hard drive, it will contain all of your files to the Windows system, and it can be removed if you do not need to free up space on your hard drive.

If she's not here, make sure you can see the Windows.old folder:
    1. click on start, type: hidden
    2. click on 'display the hidden files and folders '.
    3. Click to select "show the hidden files and folders".
    4. click OK and look for the folder
(Note: when you go back and uncheck the "Show files and folders")

How can I remove the Windows.old folder?
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/how-do-I-remove-the-Windows-old-folder

If the Windows.old folder does not remove:
In Windows Explorer, you should see a folder called Windows.old on your C: drive. That contains all of your files from your previous installation. If you need all the files, you can copy them to another folder and then delete Windows.old. If you do not need anything in the folder, it is safe to delete.
