Is it possible to use the hdmi connector on a w2207h to a displayport on a cpu [via a displayport-hdmi adapter] rather than use the VGA port on the CPU as a computer display connection?

Hello

Hi, I recently bought an Xbox 360 and I am trying to connect it to my monitor. I tried to change the source by default to DisplayPort and all I can think, without success. Only thing I get is 'No Signal'

    I have a HP Compaq LA2306x monitor.

    Hello

Don't forget to use the video output 1080 p for the Xbox.  This resolution may not be possible on some models and specific content, then you might need to go back to 720 p.

You might want to try a HDMI cable to DVI or use an HDMI to DVI adapter instead of display port.

Have you tried the Xbox forum for suggestions when your subject?

If you decide to stick with a display port connection then you might need an active or passive DP to HDMI dongle. I can't say what dongle may or may not work with your particular connection configuration.

  • U2412M DisplayPort to HDMI to the computer port?

I tried to connect my U2412M as a monitor using his DP port for my new laptop HP Envy, with its port HDMI CableMatters HDMI Cable of DP. Message on Monitor says cable DisplayPort No.. Tried a different cable and two other laptops with the same result. It should work, no? In addition, I tried with and without USB cable. How can I get this to work? Help please!

HDMI from a computer cannot convert to DP on a monitor via a simple converter cable. The DP to HDMI cable standard will not work. These cables are made from a DP computer with a HDMI port monitor. Your options are as follows =

Computer graphics card output HDMI--> HDMI to HDMI Cable--> HDMI converter Active DP --> DP cable on DP--> DP monitor in

Card computer video output HDMI--> HDMI Câble DVI - D monitor DVI - D--> in

Card computer video output HDMI--> HDMI to VGA Converter --> VGA cable VGA--> monitor VGA in

The B326HK supports HDCP on all or part of its connections? Which? All are supported HDCP version 2.2? I read on Internet websites many dealers some version of it is taken in charge on DVI, but no comment on HDMI, DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort. • HP ENVY 700-339-video bad HDMI on the Second monitor

In a Setup dual monitor a Samsung T240 and a Samsung T240HD the HDMI output a very poor text quality monitors.  The DVI quality is excellent. I changed the DVI and HDMI between the two monitors and the poor quality of HDMI is obvious on a monitor. HP has fixed the computer and replaced the AND R7 240 video card but the problem persists.

HDMI output and DVI with these monitors went well with my old HP Pavilion Elite PC m9150f.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

I have an older video card that supports dual monitor output, should I try it?

Someone at - it already update the video card in their 700-339 and can make recommendations on what works? If I receive information on the card and power supply, if it was upgragded so?

    SGPatterson, welcome to the forum.

Here is a video card that works in your computer.  It requires only a power supply (PSU) with 300W.  It does not require an additional power connector.  There is a video for you to look directly below the map on the page.

You can try your old video card if it will work with your power supply.  It should not cause problems if it works with the UEFI Firmware in the motherboard.

  • Lights up turn of the computer - monitor remains blank

    • About 5 days ago, I was using my computer as usual. I have a game, was talking to some people and play music, everything works fine. Out of nowhere, my screen locked up, I thought he was just a typical gel, so I waited a minute or two while trying things like the Ctrl alt del and alt + tab, none of these things, do nothing at all. To speed up the process, I turned off the computer manually and turned it back. After back on the screen remains empty. When the device is turned on and that everything is working normally, the light on the power button on the monitor to blue. When the computer is not turned on but the monitor is, or when the computer is in "standby", the power button goes orange. After turning on the actual computer monitor screen remained pure black, and that the switch remained orange. The computer itself seems to turn on normally, the green light in the back turns on and remains solid, the two fans inside the Tower lights up and there is the noise of typical general snoring from the computer. Since then, I tried to unplug drain all the power and turn it back on, I reinstalled the RAM, I checked the card plugged into the VGA port has been completely connected (it was a problem in the past after sending in my computer when the VGA port had been fried. The symptoms at the time were essentially the same ones they are now corrected again when an operator HP had me check if this card was plugegd, it was not completely, I pushed it and it worked fine.) Anyway, this time I tried this card verification. I pushed a little more to check if that was the problem, it doesn't change anything. I tried another monitor (with a different cable), that doesn't change anything. My warranty on the computer turns off, so my only way to contact HP for help is with the online chat, and this conversation has done me any good. They had me try all the things I had already tried and then just told to take it into a store.

No, the second port works do not means that the embedded video is disabled. Here's a video explaining how to remove the video card. It has a tab, that you must move to release the card. Scroll down and you will see the different models.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01177594

It could still be the video card. Try to remove the card completely and the embedded video. Since your unable to see the screen, you can not enter the bios to see if the edge can be activated but sometimes when the card is to remove the edge can activate itself. If no luck, try another video card.

An announcement of computer monitor, I read recently declared "Adobe 99%".  What does that mean?

It shows 99% of the Adobe RGB range, which is great if you change in this color space. Most monitors cover smaller sRGB for the web.

If you only want to color correct the screen, you may need to use some kind of motion tracking in After Effects. Maybe this thread should be moved to the forum of AFX.

  • Satellite L650 - HDMI connection for external monitor

I've linked the laptop to my Sony LCD TV via HDMI, no problem. I have a (Acer, 24-inch) LCD monitor that has a HDMI port also. I used it to play ps3 and xbox360 via HDMI connection, no problem. I have two lines HDMI 1.3. The two lines are working without any problems.

However, when I connect my laptop to my LCD Acer just external LCD monitor can t work properly. I can barely see what is display on the monitor, very snowy. It's hard to describe. I took a photo but don't know where to download it here.

I tried both HDMI lines, but both failed. I tried to change a few settings in the laptop, but nothing makes any difference. I'm looking for the driver for video card on the Web from Toshiba website and found that my current license is updated.

I'm not a tech geek, but I think that I don't know something on the computer. Am I missing something here?

Guys (and girls), please throw in an idea (tooth tell me to check if the connection is good, I don't already).
    Thank you

    Hey,.

If you connect your laptop to external monitor and press the FN + F5 key combination what happens exactly? Pressing the FN + F5 key combination shows different options and you should test with external monitor only (not the clone image). If you work on external monitor doesn't do this work?

In addition, you must connect the devices before starting their.

Also, take a look in the BIOS and try to load the default settings. Make sure that that the HDMI cable is connected before starting Windows and check the status again.

By the way: what operating system are you using exactly?

  • Inspiron 3847 Office HDMI not wake up monitor

Just bought a desktop computer Inspiron 3847 with integrated graphics to assess if we bring to our society.  Connected to an ASUS HDMI monitor and have no video.  Could not understand what was going on so connected via VGA instead and it worked as expected.  Ultimately determined that the Inspiron does not send a signal of alarm for the monitor.  Tried the monitor on a different model computer and it worked correctly.  Tried another cable with the monitor and the Inspiron HDMI but no change.  So, it means using a HDMI on the Inspiron 3847 monitor to turn on the monitor after starting the computer for it to connect via HDMI.  Checked to see if there was a BIOS update, but I have the version 2, which was recently published.  Any suggestions on how to make the Inspiron wake up the monitor when the system is powered or exit the mode 'sleep'?

I had the same problem, but fortunately got better help Dell Cathaleen did.  I just bought an Inspiron 3847 of Dell desktop computer and also bought a new monitor ASUS from amazon.  Worked well with the VGA cable, but did not work with the HDMI cable.  The solution is simple, just do it once and you'll be ready to go. Basically, you need turn on the input screen while it is on the VGA HDMI cable. Then remove the VGA cable and install the HDMI cable.  Here's how: 1. hang your desktop on the screen with the VGA cable. 2. press "menu" on the monitor ASUS Punch.  3 scroll to 'Input Select' with the 'Down' button on the screen (just to the left of the menu button). 4 drill the menu button to switch to the list of the 5 cables.  Scroll down to select HDMI. 5. remove the VGA cable and install the HDMI cable.

  • TouchSmart ENVY 17-j140us: no sound for tv when you use HDMI to the computer

I just put my 10 year anniversary build Windows Update specifications 1607 an older version (build 14xx) and I can't get sound in my TV connected via HDMI. I installed the latest driver from the HP Web site. Audio driver does not work well. Here's a screenshot of my device manager:

    Thank you for your support

    Hello:

    See if it works...

Since the graphic driver works, let's not trifle with the actual graphic driver.

We need to install the Intel HD audio driver, which is why the audio does not work on the HDMI port and it is the HD audio device problem you see list.

First download and install this free utility file, as the file 2nd on page is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - Zip, download and save but do not run the Intel graphics driver from the support page of your laptop.

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    File name: sp72370.exe

Once you have saved the graphic driver file, right-click on it and select 7 - Zip from the list of items.

Have 7-Zip extract of: and let it extract the driver in its file name (sp72370).

After that 7-Zip does its thing, go to Device Manager and click on the audio device problem HD in your screenshot.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the driver 7-Zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC, and you should get audio and video HDMI port.

  • Qosmio G50: HDMI to DVI output Monitor & other related issues

I would appreciate more help with this one as literature and research provided no firm indication.

Situation is that I am awaiting delivery of a G50-10 and a DynaDock, and before opening the box I want to be sure that I can achieve key objectives. In particular, I would normally (in do not travel) wishes to operate the laptop with two external monitors and the lid closed. Media functions are a secondary consideration for the use of this laptop.

The two external monitors are 22 "1680 x 1050 with inputs DVI and d - SUB.

It is difficult to documentation, what will happen in this configuration. So, my questions are:

    1.
    Port d - SUB on the G50 will deliver 1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz?

    2.
The DynaDock DVI port will deliver 1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz?

    3.
The HDMI port on the G50, when connected cable HDMI-DVI external display, delivering 1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz for use with Vista applications?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Atrix HDMI to laptop computer Vaio HDMI connection does not

I adapted my Atrix on the multimedia dock, connected power and then connected to the mm HDMI cable anchor on my laptop Vaio HDMI, I have read and understood the firefox browser should be launched directly, but did not, I missed something?

By the way, I have the kit multimedia motorola set.

    Advise me please.

    Thank you

There are few things mingle here:

    1. the webtop is initiated when the Atrix is connected to the HD multimedia dock and the dock is connected to the TV via HD.

    2. the webtop includes the full version of Firefox running a customized version of Ubuntu

    3. connect multimedia dock via HDMI to laptop will not work because this HDMI connection on the laptop, the output not in. Also, why put phone firefox on laptop? Just open firefox on the laptop.

    4. connection from computer to phone via USB will launch all apps on the phone. Which allows to "Motorola Phone Portal" (when USB connected) will cause the computer's browser to open and gives you access to some data of the phone - Contacts, SMS, photos and let you handle these things via the computer.

5 Motorola has another application - Motorola Media Link; You can download and use to manage music and movies.

    6. If you want to use the webtop application when it is connected to a TV, you can, but it takes the phone to have turned on WiFi or an approved carrier data plan - if you want to use internet applications.
