HDMI / DisplayPort gives no signal on monitor

Hi, I recently bought an Xbox 360 and I am trying to connect it to my monitor. Everything works fine when I use the HDMI cable to the tv, but not luck, when you use HDMI / DisplayPort on my monitor. I tried to change the source by default to DisplayPort and all I can think, without success. Only thing I get is 'No Signal'

I have a HP Compaq LA2306x monitor.

Hello

Don't forget to use the video output 1080 p for the Xbox.  This resolution may not be possible on some models and specific content, then you might need to go back to 720 p.

You might want to try a HDMI cable to DVI or use an HDMI to DVI adapter instead of display port.

Have you tried the Xbox forum for suggestions when your subject?

If you decide to stick with a display port connection then you might need an active or passive DP to HDMI dongle. I can't say what dongle may or may not work with your particular connection configuration.

  • DisplayPort that NO SIGNAL appears in the window on the screen is good

DisplayPort that NO SIGNAL appears in the window on the screen is good. I run all programs without any problems. But this small window in the upper right corner will not go away. Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello

To make the small window is closed on your screen, please try to perform an end task. If does not end the task, there is an option that attempts to put an end to the tree of the whole process instead of just the individual job. Select the Details tab in the Task Manager, right-click the process you want to end, and then click end process tree. This will attempt to leave the program and all associated process.

If the same small window is always on the screen, I suggest that you try to unplug your monitor from outlet for a minute and plug it back again. This should refresh the settings of your monitor and the small window should disappear.

Let us know how it goes.

  • No signal on monitor after Windows 8 logo

I have a Lenovo H430-2558-1ZU desktop computer running Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. I used it all of a sudden the video was cut, then I had no signal on the screen. I restarted and after Windows 8 logo, I get no Signal on the monitor. Windows 8 is running because I can hear sounds from the speakers. After using this method, I started in safe mode. I uninstalled the graphics card driver Intel HD of safe mode and restarted in normal mode. It was fine for a few minutes, but then I had no signal on the screen. So I started in new safe mode and uninstalled the driver. I installed a new Web site driver for intel, but I still have the same problem. I tried uninstalling the driver for the monitor, but still have the same question. The monitor is connected to the computer via a XtremeMac HDMI to DVIHDMI port. The monitor is aViewsonic VX1945wm I used for many years. I don't think that it is a hardware problem, because my Ubuntu install works fine. I am at a loss here, IDK what to do. Help, please!

I solved the problem. I plugged the monitor into the computer via VGA and it works beautifully. So I disconnected the VGA cable and reconnected the cable hdmi to dvi, and it is worked over HDMI since. Even after rebooting. It's a weird solution, but I'm glad it worked.

  • no signal with monitor Acer AL 2216

I used this monitor acer with 32-bit xp system and upgraded to windows 7 64 bit system. On initial connection everything has worked so I had to get the data on the old computer and hung up and the monitor has then didn't show no signal.  Then I got the old computer with XP and rehooked the new computer windows 7 and it displays no signal as well. Please tell us how I can return signal to monitor, and if it is advisabe to swap computers so I'm having this problem.  I still need to use the former with the data that is on it.

Most monitors have analog modes and a DVI/digital input at the back of the LCD screen. Try to use the other entry.

  • IdeaCentre K450 'no signal' with monitors (VGA and HDMI)

I bought a K450 (of Jack online of lenovo, handed to nine) in December. I have an Acer H226HQL 21.5 "monitor at the same time and put in place all at once. I used the VGA cable to connect the monitor. Everything worked perfectly until a few weeks ago. I went to wake the computer and the screen remains black. I pressed the power button to turn off completely and turn it on again, 'no signal' stil on the monitor. I tried to use the HDMI cable with the acer and the old monitor of 8 years of my last office (with VGA cable) and still no signal. Checked the power strip, it works fine. I am at a loss!

I ran updates on firmware for everything, including the graphics, when I put the computer. I would check on the firmware for the graphics card, but it is difficult to without a working screen. In addition, do not know if this is relevant at all, but it was running windows 8.1.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

    Thank you!!

In fact, I realized there are TWO VGA ports in the case of the computer and
plugged into another one and it worked. Oops. No idea why HDMI cables
did not work, however. I hope that you are able to get your problem solved!

  • Lightning Digital AV HDMI allows making iPad as a monitor

Can you use ' lightning apple digital av HDMI "on iPad Air2 and connect a PC/windows key to use the iPad as a monitor (Second monitor or first and only)? For example the combination lightning PC HDMI and windows, then use iDisplay for iPad as a second monitor.

If you can not, is it possible to do? To make it easier, I want to know if I buy a PC stick, is possible to use my iPad as a monitor, when I go on business trips. I am guessing lighting to HDMI is an HDMI output, so does not input the iPad HDMI signal. However, iDisplay uses light cable at the entrance to signal to the iPad. If we convert USB output HDMI to PC stick, and then connect it through lightning, which will work?

  • HDMI connection takes one of my monitors.

I have three monitors - an Apple Cinema Display monitor and two DVI monitors. When I plugged a cable from the HDMI out (to a receiver) I get a picture on the TV, but one of my monitors DVI is removed.

None of the monitors is Thunderbolt/Displayport so that they use the adapters. What is the problem?

You can have TWO legacy screens hung with passive adapters. If you choose the built-in HDMI that counts as one. In addition, existing views require ACTIVE adapters.

"legacy" in this context are something other than the Mini DisplayPort and DisplayPort (a direct rewire, not a conversion).

To debug, try to use only two screens. If it is not working then, you need an ACTIVE adapter for something to make additional progress.

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF: HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF: using VGA and DisplayPort simultaneously for double configuration monitor

If the title says it all. I'm trying to set up two monitors on my HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF. Here is my configuration:

    1. first monitor (Acer B223W) lights DisplayPort and displays things normally.

    2. second monitor (HP LP2065) is on the VGA port.

The problem is that my second port monitor never gets a signal from the machine and going to sleep mode. Connect the second monitor changes my main screen at a desk empty (no icons, no taskbar, just a plain painted paper), which I believe means it tries to use my VGA monitor as main display.

However, the VGA monitor never seems to show anything. I spent my main screen on the first monitor successfully too, but is not all about him either.

    Hello:

If your PC comes with Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 of the plant, you need to change two parameters of the BIOS before installing a video card no HP.
