  I need to measure the angular lever position and speed of a carpet. For that I use two quadrature encoders. To accurately calculate the speed I use buffered from the measures of position using one of the available onboard counters. I understand that for this technique, I provide a sample for the meter clock. I wonder if it is possible to use the internal time base. Note that both of my counters are used so I can't generate a signal to clock with them.

  I found two conflicting pages related to my problem:

  The first says that I can use the internal clock of 100 kHz, and the other says that I have an external clock.

  Hi Javad,

  On your specific device, there is not a direct route from the time base of 100 kHz for the meter (according to the routing table of MAX):

  

  Yellow cell indicates that a route is possible but there is not direct (the "gate" terminal is used as sample clock for counters of the M series).  Mouse on the cell reveals yellow that make this route really requires the use of a counter (so it is not suitable for your application).

  On the line above "100kHzTimebase" you will notice it is called 'FrequencyOutput', which does not have a direct route to the door.  This would be the way to go if you want to route 100 kHz (or some other frequency) as your sample counter clock - you can set it up the same way to a standard meter output task:

  

  The output frequency doesn't have that many features like a meter output, but it is able to generate a continuous stable frequency.  There are only 32 different frequencies that can be generated using Freq Out on the 6251:

  {10 MHz, 100 kHz} / {01:16}

  Do not forget that the resolution of your measure of frequency by using this method will be equal to how many times you update the measure (hopefully, that makes sense).  In other words, if at the end of all the 1 second, you take the total number of charges since the last second, you would have a 1 per second equal resolution change in the number.  If you take the difference twice per second, you would end up with half the resolution.  You will be sampling the account register fairly quickly, but you will need only to do the calculation of the frequency after that all N samples in order to obtain a significant number.

  Another method that will certainly give a higher resolution in less time at typical speeds of coders is to set up a measurement of the frequency (the counter will count the internal 80 MHz base time period your external signal and the pilot calculates the frequency based on the result).  This method uses only a single entry - so you can just feed the 'A' your encoder quadrature signal (the method will not work if you are interested in absolute position or direction).  Without using signals A and B together, you will be susceptible to noise (which is common to have a quadrature encoder) that you want to delete (perhaps by setting up a digital filter).  Finally, you want to set a reasonable timeout on your reader calls (which will be blocked until a period of your external signal occurs), and the error-200284 handle simply report "0Hz" to make sure that your program is still sensitive even without an external signal present.

• How to use an external microphone, using the speakers (like using external speaker?)?

  I'm trying to use the microphone to an external webcam (logitech C200), which is connected via USB to the laptop (vista, service pack 2). Now the broblem is that I managed to get the external speakers that are connected through the socket of the enclosure, BUT I can't for the life of do me use the microphone on the external webcam. He keeps trying to use the microphone internal cameras (those integrated) instead.

  I tried to disable the internal camera (which now allows me to use the webcam) and I even tried to disable the internal microphone, but who also disbaled speakers (includes those used through the socket).

  I'm at a TOTAL loss, how to solve this problem, I know you can do what I want, I just can't for the life of me get by.

  Try this:
  Go to control panel, double click sound. In the recording tab, you should see the icon of your microphone with a green check mark on the subject. If there is no checkmark, it means it is disabled. To activate the Microphone, right click on Microphone and click Activate. If you do not see the Microphone in the list, right click on the white space and select devices see the disabled. Then, you'd see the Microphone. However, if you don't see the green check mark on it, right-click on it and click Activate. And also to select Microphone and click the set as default below (if defined as default button is active).

  Now, set the microphone sensitivity level:

  1. Select Microphone and click the properties button.
  2. click the levels tab and adjust the slider to the right for 50 to 100% of its range.
  3. If the mute is enabled, click the button mute to reactivate the device.
  4. If the Microphone Boost is available, amplify the volume.
  5. click apply and then OK to make the changes.

• Unable to format or use the internal hard drive

  I have a 2007 MacBook that was running on a replacement HD (500 GB) 10.6.8.  I got a new MB Air and want to wipe the HD and reinstalling the system, so my children can use the old MB.  The MacBook was working fine when I started this process.  When I started with the original and selected installation disk utility disk to erase the disk, erase failed with a "input/output error.  I can't format the drive and I can't even choose the drive to re - install without erasing the disc (no drive does appear in Setup).  What happens every time that I try it now.

  Now I can't even use the HD to start the MacBook.  Utility of disk can see the drive, but it appears as a 3.6 TB drive, not a 500 GB drive, and is only a single line in the sidebar (typically there are two lines per disc).  Info is supported if I don't care if I lose everything, but I would like to be able to use the drive as it should be a computer budget.  Partitioning does nothing, fail all attempts to clear it.  Next step is probably to remove it and try to erase its content in an external enclosure.

  Can someone explain what could happen?  Why doesn't the drive suddenly stop working to the point of not even be recognized correctly when minutes before it worked fine?  And what I can do about it?

  Reading input output error errors are for the most part. Which usually means a failing drive. A tool like DiskWarrior could fix, but you can (on Ebay) pick up a drive used for this price. Readers can fail with or without warning. It will sometimes lag and hard starts spinning beach balls and no start of the thread. Or you run it, close it and then the next time it starts, it will not work. Disc utilities will usually fix this kind of error. The only work around in utilities is to perform a full disc erase and distribution, if possible.

• Unable to connect to the PC or use the internal memory

  In early 2009, I bought a 8 GB rocket with a 8 GB SanDisk microSD card and everything was fine.
  I was using your desktop PC running under Windows XP SP2, updates and manage the files in the internal memory and 8 GB microSD card. Then I went abroad for a few months and was using an IBM Thinkpad laptop. Still, everything was fine.

  A Samsung YP - T9B 2 GB, I've had since 2007 works very well with PCs and laptops.

  Looks like your cable is going bad. The data connection is different from the connection of load, so you can always load but have a data problem. Software cannot fix a broken wire.

  You can get a generic cable from Amazon for a bit of money and test.

  You'll have to do it by programming it your application startup.  You can use the following code to get the width and height of the icon:

  Besides the fact that you have a license for vmware, I don't think

  that a server is empty of ucs has such a restriction.

  On the other hand, you might want to use vmware under tms just to make your life

  easier (snapshorts before the updates, share the same server with other applications

  (such as vcs, cucm, sql dedicated server, linux management box,...)

• Distribute the form using the internal server

  I created form forms central and exported in PDF format.

  PDF distribution options that I distribute and collect the response email and acrobat and internal server using the network or shared folder.

  When I select the internal server, it pops the network folder selection step.  When I send a test on the tracker form, it shows that the form was sent using email attachment and no server.

  I think that if you want to use an internal server, you do not use central, but regular acroforms forms and your own server scripts. The scripts of central forms are not available to get you on your own server. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong).

However when I use Apple Remote Desktop (3.7.2) or terminal on the workstation Mac (Mac Pro installed OSX 10.9.4) itself for launch updates, the Remote Update Manager command returns an error code (1). I have 53 Mac workstations and make me the same error code for each of them. I double checked the settings when I created the installation package. What else can I check to fix this?
