Headset Mono

Whenever I plug my headphones into the Jack headphone on my Inspiron 17R SE 7720 output is no longer in stereo. I contacted Tech Support and I was told that the default mono system whenever you plug in the headphones, and there is no way to change this default value. I find it very strange that I can't believe that a company like DELL would not listen to your music in stereo via earphones. Is there a way to change this value by default so that I can listen in stereo of my helmet?

Thanks, Dave

Thanks Jim. It seems not that I SRS Premium Sound. The device is IDT High Definition Audio CODEC, and I MaxxAudio. I have an MP3 file that has only a voice recording of 'Left' and 'Right' that I used to test my equipment to make sure everything is connected properly. When I played this file with the helmet, it was not separated in the left and right. That's when I thought that there was a problem with the headphone jack. When I tested the helmet in the DELL Audio screen I have always not any separation. That's when I called Technical Support. They were not able to help me and says which is the default value and could not be changed. Thanks to your suggestion, I played a bit with MaxxAudio and discovered that the only way I get the separation for left and right during the test (test headphones or my MP3 file) if MaxxAudio is either "Off" or "Voice". However, when I play music or a movie, I get a stereo playback in the headphones no matter what the MaxxAudio is defined for. This seems really odd to me but at least I understand why the 'Test' headphones did not work properly. It is a shame that the DELL Technical Service people couldn't explain this to me and told me that mono is the default value for the headphones.

  • 16 track simultaneous recording

    Hello

I use Audition 1.5 for centuries, and after reading these forums, I want to stick with it rather than go to v3

I would like to record 16 microphones simultaneously in multitrack view. My ideal would be to meet the channels A/D pickups and connect them directly to the computer. As simple and easy as possible. Then I would post records to mix down.

I really want to hear the experiences and advice. Is this a realistic proposition in the hearing? If so, what material would be worth?

16-bit 44.1 is good, but it would be good to hear high settings too.

    Thanks in advance

What Bob says is all valid and just shows how you can use the same piece of software in a way that best suits you and your situation.

There is no right or wrong - just more choice.

Like Bob, I have a mixer outboard - A & MWZ312M H 16:12, but I use it for mixtures of helmet.  I can configure up to 12 stereo headset mono or 6 blends.  If I want to Mix my helmet off the beaten :-)

So, you will find that there will be others all with different ways of doing more or less the same thing.  Its up to you to find what is best for you.

  • Someone at - it a working bluetooth headset for SE

I have 3 Bluetooth headsets all worked good old 4 s, but on the audio IS is badly distorted on phone calls.

2 are mono down inexpensively, one type of appeal with a long pole, the other is a clone of Motorola S10.

If anyone has a Bluetooth headset that works well on the SE I want to hear about it.

Prefer the higher head type with long pole, but is considering a Plantronics Voyager legend.

Anyone tried the Plantronics travel legend with the self?

    Thank you

Tested with Plantronics travel legend... even badly distorted audio...

  • Satellite L300D - only get mono in headphones

I'm having a problem with my new L300D satellite.

I get stereo sound from my speakers, but when I plug in a headset or a 1/8 to RCA Jack I get only mono. I used several sets of headphones and the strings, and none work. I'm sure that they are connected correctly, but it still does not. I installed Audacity as well and it does not allow me to record streaming media or anything else playing on my laptop that has never been a problem on other laptops before.

Is there a driver I'm missing or something?

It is really strange, but I still believe that the headphone jack is not connected correctly.
Please check if the plug is placed in the port correctly.
I can't imagine it has something to do with his driver.

  • The headset audio USB deforms after initially connect xbox 360 controller for windows

    Hello world.

It seems that many people (including me, now) start meeting audio distortion after they plug a Xbox 360 controller for windows on their computer for the first time. I have a headset Audio USB of Dynex Mono, and whenever I try to use the microphone, the sound comes out distorted. Also, when I try to use the earphone to listen to whatever it is that the audio is also flawed.

Did anyone here know what I can do, so I can get the controller and the helmet the two working together in a computer? The headset works fine in another computer.

I have Windows XP Home SP3.

The Xbox controller draw right on the edge for a USB port, putting pressure on all of the USB bus, especially if there are other USB devices. If you get an external USB powered hub to add to your system and plug the controller, you will solve your problem.

I had the same problem with my Creative Labs USB sound card and the Xbox controller at the same time. I picked up a Zonet similar to this (different brand):

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817182168

I plug my controller, keyboard, and mouse dongle in the hub and plug my sound card directly into one of the ports on the back of the PC. Problem solved! I got no sound since problem.

  • XPS L502X w / Intel chip support 6230 Bluetooth * 2.1, 2.1 + EDR, 3.0, 3.0 + HS: any stereo Bluetooth headset, headphones, etc.

I want something to make me pass stereo audio using the Bluetooth radio already in my laptop.

I bought a pair of headsets Plantronics BackBeat go.   They could combine with the laptop, but then in the next step, Windows (7 Home Premium) Impossible to install the appropriate drivers.  I went through all the suggested windows troubleshooting nothing helps.  I called Plantronics technical support.  I was told that I would need to buy an additional USB adapter at home, so I send you the earbuds back.

I asked Dell sales support they recommend, but the only thing they could find available from Dell needed an extra USB adapter too.  In addition, it is mono.

I really want to commit something that won't require a USB port for an adapter since the computer already has the Bluetooth hardware.  Ideally I'd like a small dongle that allowed the use of speakers, headphones or earphones.  Otherwise, I would consider dedicated Bluetooth headset or headphones.

I'm not interested in the device with a microphone or telephone control, but if that's what it takes to get other features I want, I would consider it.

Anyone succeeded with this question?  What works?

    Thank you

    John

I solved my problem audio Bluetooth!

My laptop Dell L502x supplied with Windows 7.  But Windows 7 has no native support for Bluetooth (a2dp) profile for the use of stereo headphones.  The helmet would pair with the laptop, but wouldn't connect.

    I found these helpful instructions

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-hardware/how-to-pairconnect-Bluetooth-audio-device-to/fb49798d-9fb5-451F-95FC-301f8f76942b

After checking the Windows Update and the Dell support site pilot for new drivers, I finally had to resort to the manufacturer's website.  Because the laptop has an Intel 6230 chip, I used the Intel driver update utility to

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/default.aspx?lang=eng

who finds these two updates relevant for me.

Drivers for Windows 7 and Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software
    Wireless_16.7.0_s64.exe

    and

    Software Intel® PROSet/Wireless technology Bluetooth® for Windows 7 *.
    BT_3.1.1311_s64.exe

    Following the instructions here.

    http://www.Dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=DHS&docid=268873

I chose first to run Wireless_16.7.0_s64.exe.  After then running BT_3.1.1311_s64.exe and restarting, I accompanied my headphones to the computer and was finally able to connect.

It's a shame that Microsoft does not include a2dp with Windows 7.  I have an iPod touch and a winning machine 8 effortlessly connected to my helmet, since they have a2dp built in.

    Well, I'm just happy, there's a solution.

    Hope someone finds this useful,
    See you soon
