heat xp7010 light

My HP xp7010 projector decided to Flash the light heat rather than light today. I turned off and unplugged for about 5 minutes, try to reset it several times. It is currently mounted on the ceiling of the Church, so I was not able to physically examine the bulb, but the light from the bulb is NOT on, only the temperature light. The user manual simply says, 'contact HP.' Try as I may, I can't find the phone number or the support email. I was hoping that someone here would have an answer to the problem or other contact information.

Thank you

Bill

When you search for "" word1 word2"" with double quotes, it returns anything that contains the words "word1 word2". It does not account for things like hyphens, unless otherwise stated, by setting the hyphen as printjoins and skipjoins.

When you search for "word1-word2" without spaces around the hyphen, it's the same as above, unless you set the hyphen as printjoins and skipjoins.

When looking for the "word1 word2 *", it returns anything that contains the word "word1" and any word that begins with "word2".

When you search for "word1 - word2 * ' with a space on each side of the hyphen, it returns everything that contains the word"word1"but does not provide any word that begins with"word2 ".

This is explained in the first link you provided.

    See the below simplified example.

My Toshiba C660-28dts was on and working very well.
The base was hot and the laptop is off.

I just assumed it had overheated and cut.
I left it for more than 24 hours, due I commitments, when I tried to turn it on nothing happened.
I noticed that when you press the power button the Green LED flashed for a few seconds then went off.

The fan did not run, the display does not illuminate.
It's the same thing with the power supply and output cable.

It does not sound very well.
It looks like a serious hardware problem.

In the best case, it's just a problem of RAM module. It would be easy to fix.
You can replace the RAM modules just to check if it of the case.

Otherwise, it would be a related problem of motherboard and I guess in this case it s you will need to replace the motherboard.
The new motherboard is an expensive part, so you have to decide what you want to do

  • my charge light not light when I plug the phone into the charger. In my view, no heat on the charging unit.

Plug changed to several different wall jacks in house and no power.

    Hi stiffy1938,

If the charger does not work in the sheets that you have connected to in the household (and probably other devices work in these sheets) then chances are that either the fuse in the plug either the charging unit itself is dead. You may need to have it checked by a repair technician. Obviously if you machine under warranty, contact the manufacturer's technical support and see what they suggest.

No, it should not hurt it as long as the light is not too hot the temperature of operation of the computer. Any reason why you have to light so close?

  • 13 "Macbook Pro retina heats up on the bridge and google maps satellite

    Hello!

    I have a 13 "Macbook Pro retina

I noticed that when using google satellite view maps (no matter if in Safari or another browser) my Mac begins to quickly heat up to 102 degrees Celsius (I use https://www.seense.com/menubarstats/ to measure the speed of the CPU temp and fan, but even without any application, you can easily feel the high temp and hear the blowing fan) the fan also starts to blow at maximum speed. When I left the site everything returns to normal.

Same thing happens when I discover the overpass in Maps.app. When I left the temperature goes down to normal.

I can compare the situation with my MacBook Air a years more and I have none of these problems in this regard. Strange that both Mac have only the Integrated GPU. No idea what may cause heat upward? Dealing with the satellite or view 3d demanding for rMBP but not for the older MBA buildings? Both on the latest version of the model

    Thank you!

    Hello there, villovsky.

Looks like you see increases in temperature and fan problems when using particularly intense applications on your MacBook Pro. The following Knowledge Base article offers up to large initial measures for troubleshooting:

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

    Before resetting the SMC

Reset the SMC only after trying all the other standard troubleshooting. Try each of the following steps in this order before resetting the SMC. Test the issue after performing each step of troubleshooting to see if the problem persists.

    1. Press Command-Option-ESC to force stop any application that is not responding.
    2. Put your Mac to sleep choosing sleep from the Apple menu. After that he went to sleep, to wake up the computer.
    3. Restart your Mac by selecting restart from the Apple menu.
    4. Stop your Mac by choosing stop from the Apple menu.
    5. If your Mac does not, forcing the Mac to stop by pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds. You will lose any unsaved in all open applications work.

If you are using a Mac laptop, which is the power or battery issues:

    1. Unplug the adapter from your Mac and the electrical outlet for a few seconds, then plug it back.
    2. Stop your Mac.
    3. Remove and reinsert the battery, if it is removable battery.
    4. Restart your Mac.

If the problem is still not resolved, you may need to reset the SMC. See indicators and the steps below.

Indicators that need to be reset your SMC

After you perform a standard troubleshooting, these symptoms can indicate that a SMC reset may be necessary:

    • The computer fans operate at high speed, even if the computer does not have a very heavy use and is properly ventilated.
    • The backlight on the keyboard not behave correctly on Macs with this feature.
    • The led State (SIL) not behave correctly on Macs with this feature.
    • Battery LEDs, if present, are not well behaved on laptops Mac with a non-removable battery.
    • The backlight of the screen does not correctly to changes in ambient light on Macs with this feature.
    • The computer does not respond to the when you press the power button.
    • Mac laptop does not properly when you close or open the cover.
    • The computer sleeps or stops unexpectedly.
    • Battery does not charge properly.
    • The MagSafe LED power adapter does not have the correct activity.
    • The computer performs exceptionally slowly, even if she is not experiencing abnormally high CPU utilization.
    • Application icons can bounce on the dock for a while when opened.
    • Applications may not work correctly, or they may stop responding after the opening.
    • A computer that supports target display mode does not switch in or out of target display mode as expected, or it goes in or out of view target at unexpected times.
    • Autour lighting of on a Mac Pro I/o ports (end 2013) does not turn on when you move the computer.

Reset the SMC on Mac Laptops

First determine if the battery is removable. Computers Mac notebooks with a non-removable battery include MacBook Pro (early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, MacBook (late 2009) and MacBook (retina, 12 inch, early 2015). Learn more about batteries for computers laptops Mac.

If the battery is good behaviour

    1. Stop the Mac.
    2. Plug the MagSafe or USB - C adapter to a power source and to your Mac.
    3. Use the built-in keyboard, press shift-control-Option on the left side of the keyboard, then press the power button at the same time.
    4. All the keys to unlock, then press the power button to turn on your Mac

    If the battery is removable

    1. Stop the Mac.
    2. Unplug the MagSafe from Mac power adapter.
    3. Remove the battery. (Learn about removing the battery in the MacBook and MacBook Pro computers).
    4. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    5. Reconnect the battery and the MagSafe power adapter.
    6. Press the power button to turn on the Mac.

The LED on the MagSafe power adapters could change State or temporarily disable when you reset the SMC.

Thank you for being a part of the communities of Apple Support.

  • Satellite L300D - black screen but powers and FN light answer

Hi, I have my friend L300D that is given to me to be fixed. I'm not a technician, but the kind of interested in the business of fixing :)

Recently laptop screen just went black.

    Symptoms:
-Laptop power on when you press the power button, but nothing coming screen.
-Caps lock does not respond when you press him.
-No hard drive light not flashing.
-Power LED light and adapter lights up constantly.
-Caps lock flashes once the first second
-Laptop seems to continue to run with black screen but does restart or turn off.
-Fan turns and no problem of heat.
-Laptop can always power off when you you press power button for 5 seconds.
-Is no beep or display any changes then from these modules removed from ram.

He looks dead to me, but fortunately, it's not quite dead because the FN button seems blinking light under the F10 key. It is the only evidence that I have on this laptop telling me that it is not quite dead.

I tried to put the latest bios file in a floppy 1.44 MB fat16 formatted in a usb floppy drive and the f key down before I plug in the charger, but still no change. I also tried B of WIN, the FN B, WIN ESC, the FN ESC.

Please can someone give me some advice.

    Hello

For me, it looks like serious hardware problem.
What you can do is to test the device with an external monitor:
Connect the external display and check if you see something like start screen for Toshiba, etc if you see something like that, then internal laptop screen is defective and must be replaced if not if nothing would seem-> the related problem of the motherboard.

  • Satellite C660 - green light comes on but no display

    Hello

I have 3 laptops Satellite C660 all do the same things.
The power is turn on and get the green lights but no display on the screen. It happens from time to time.

Anyone know what I could be the motherboard is going or is it over heating?

    Thank you

I can't say with certainty what part could be affected, but fact is that if the Toshiba start screen does not appear at the beginning of the startup procedure. This means that the self-test isn t power began and could not be passed correctly. This could be linked to the problem of the motherboard or part connected to the motherboard. That is to say. RAM modules.

I recommend if possible, check the modules single RAM.

High internal temperature may affect the functionality of the laptop too. But you can avoid these problems, clean the cooling and cooling grids fans from time to time.

  • Pavillion Q8300 - p6267c: Fans periodically but regularly light up full normal speed on desktop under loads

I have a desktop computer of p6267c 5 years or more running Windows 7 Home Premium - 64-bit.  He was a great computer with no problems other than a graphics card failed out of the box when it was delivered first, but that was immediately replaced under warranty.

A little less than a week ago I was using the computer when I thought I might have heard a strange noise light (no rain), and then I heard the fans go on full blast for a few minutes then slow down.  Fans were left like that maybe a handful of times under very heavy load in any of the previous five years.  This time, however, five minutes later and they are back on full blast (very strong and sensitive) once again, for a minute or more then quite new.  This continued to occur regularly even though I was not any kind of important treatment, surfing and normal web documents changes.

I shut down the computer, turned off and taken to look at the case where I could see that some dust has put up on the vents.  I removed the side cover, cleaned the vents and then little compressed air used for blowing significant dust that had built up inside as well, in various places.  I got to where I couldn't see more dust comes out so I put the cover back and booted up.

Same fan periodical bursts has occurred.  I was now concerned I might have a virus or malicious software that was causing the CPU to do something extreme every few minutes, even though I see nothing in the Task Manager, so I ran a full scan with Norton.  Came back clean.

I looked more closely to monitor resources and another program, I had display the temperature of the CPU core and could see that some of the drivers were receiving up to perhaps 25 to 40% of the use and the core, the temperature rose from 60 to 85-90 degrees fahrenheit when fans full blast, then they would go offshore as CPU level dropped and temperature.

I tried to take off the side cover and have a regular fan box blow a little nearby to make sure there is plenty of air circulation around the chassis, but that made no difference. I was able to look at the fans, and all of them look like they work very well, even at full blast.  The rear fan, the fan on the GPU and the fan on the sink sit directly on the CPU cooling.

By continuing to use the compueter and look more closely at exactly when fans come on full blast, I think it is especially when there are web video (classified ads or videos on the news sites, sports facilities, etc.).  My understanding is that the CPU in general should do more work with the latter due to the cancellation of video compression and it is the CPU that, not the GPU.  Happens a bit similar, but not as always if there are a lot of pictures on a site.  Also occurs when the computer is first starting or stopping.

I am now at a loss that suddenly causing this or what to do?  Five years and nothing, now half of websites that I will because of gusts full fans blowing.  The computer seems to be OK otherwise, but I'm afraid that I don't want to damage from excess heat if the problem persists.

The only thing I can possibly think now is to take off the CPU cooling heatsink and fan, clean more thoroughly and reapply the thermal paste in the hope that it is a bad connection between the processor and heatsink cooling that makes them become hot and have the computer make the only possible choice, telling fans to go at full speed in an attempt to cool everything.  I'm just worried that if it's not her, I am risking possibly destroy my computer just as I've never tried remove a CPU cooling sink and before reconnecting.  So, I don't want to do something that could make matters worse if it is a solution very unlikely.

    Thank you.

    Doug

Well, I ended up buying a combination of heatsink / fan replacement.  Not exactly the one originally supplied with the computer, but basically the same thing.  The main difference being the new had a record of copper at the bottom where it comes in contact with the CPU, rather than just bare aluminum.

I removed the old radiator, remove the paste heat, applied new paste again and the new heatsink of heat and all seems OK now.  Blower not more.  Yet once, I don't know how the heat sink went 'wrong', but maybe something broke or the fan is unbalanced, I don't know.

Fortunately, it looks like it cost me ~ $35 between the new heatsink of heat and thermal paste to fix and maintain your computer.

Although it works (perhaps after tests 1-3) I think not that this is the way you should have to start the computer. I also see a lot of the same problem with the solution is the method I use. WHY IS THERE NO PERMANT SOLUTION?

RESOLVED: I have disassembled the computer, removed from motherboard and heated the motherboard with a dryer of hair, concentrating on the CPU, gpu & Southbridge chips one by one. I warmed up each chip and pushed the chip socket to reinstall and now it works without error.

I now use a portable fan under the laptop to try to keep cooler so that it will not happen.

  • Problems of heat with the mid-2015 MacBook Pro 15-inch with retina display

    MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inch, mid-2015). 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 | OS X El Capitan (10.11.3) | 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 | Intel Pro Iris 1536 MB | 251 GB of Flash storage

My 2006 13 "MacBook White would get really hot on my knees if I was using the DVD player.

Since then, my new MacBook Pro has no disc hard turns and no great, should I feel any heat at all?

There is an old rule to never put your laptop on your lap, because it may damage your skin. I wonder if the new MacBook Pro will become warmer over time, or if I can expect to not feel high heat.

    Is there a range?

I did have the machine long enough to say that I have done the troubleshooting steps.

The DVD player is not the primary heat generator, the CPU/GPU are the creators of the heat.  When you use resources intensive applications, you can expect your MBP become very hot.  Video, Skype, games, etc., are applications that will make the CPU/GPU heat, reaching temperatures in the range of 90 ° c.

You should expect at a temperature between 40 ° c to 50 ° c when running during 'normal' light applications such as text editing and browsing the web.

    Ciao.
