  Adobe Reader version 9.3.0 installed via GPO worked without problem for months on Windows XP Pro SP3

  Connection method

  I copied the following files to the local C:\V932 folder:

  AdbeRdr930_en_US.msi (installation of MSI v9.3 original file)

  AdbeRdrUpd932_all_incr.msp (the downloaded file patch released in April 2010)

  Then I used the following command:

  msiexec /a AdbeRdr930_en_US.msi /p AdbeRdrUpd932_all_incr.msp

  The result

  -AdbeRdr930_en_US.msi file is updated to the date and time that the above command completed
  -4 new folders created (commune, CommonAppData, Program Files and Windows)

  Then, I created a new folder (\\servername\AdbeRdr932) on the server and copy all the contents of C:\V932 to this shared folder. After that, I created a new GPO package to upgrade the version 9.3.0

  Rebooted my Windows XP Pro machine and the upgrade went successfully. When I check help - about, it shows that I have 9.3.2

  Here's the problem:

  When I compare Adobe Connect files in the following folders, some files do not match:

  C:\Program 9.0\Reader of Adobe

  and

  \\servername\AdbeRdr932\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader

  For example:

  Properties of AcroRd32.exe in the C drive shows the version of the file 9.3. 0.148

  Properties of AcroRd32.exe in the shared folder shows the version of the file 9.3. 2.163

  There are other files (DLL, EXE) that do not match. The files in drive C: is earlier than those on the shared network folder. Now I don't know what to trust, the version information illustrated with Adobe Reader - About or file version information.

  For those who deploy Adobe Reader version 9.3.2 via GPO, you see the same problem?

  As you say-

  These two statements tell the whole story.

  Try one thing - Go to help--> on... I know that you have done this, and on this screen, it shows 9.3.2... thats fine

  Now take the mouse to the position on the start screen where 9.3.2 is written and click

  After clicking, you will see a different version string. I bet that now you will see 9.3.0.148.

  This is what is happening behind the scenes:

  First version 9.3.2 is levied on a registry entry

  But when you click on the start screen, that version is levied on the AcroRd32.dll

  Unfortunately there is no right way to distinguish if the drive has been properly patched or not because sometimes version to the splashscreen is supposed to change after click on (if changes will only in the files other than AcroRd32.dll)

  In your case, the installation of the Reader 9.3.2 is corrupt because the way in which you create an agreement in principle is wrong.

  Follow these steps to create an AIP and deploy via GPO:

  Perform an administrative installation

  1 copy the installer msi Reader 9.3 to your machine.

  2. create a distribution point (a folder where the installer can install the non compressed

  program files).

  3. Click Start, click Run, and then type the following command:

  msiexec /a

  4. When you receive a prompt asking you where to install the files, look for the distribution point

  you created in step 2.

  5. click on OK. When the installer has finished, all files will be on the distribution point.

  Also AdbeRdr930_en_US.msi is also present on the distribution point. (This msi is used in step 7 below)

  To add patches to the administrative installation:

  6 copy the fix msp Reader 9.3.2 on your machine.

  7. click on start, then click Run and type CMD.

  At the command prompt, type the following:

  msiexec /a /p

  Once the installation is successful, you can copy this folder (distribution point) to any server and create the package of GPO.

  It is a two-step process.

  You have tried to do in one step! and that's where you were going wrong.

  He is not quite sure what you mean with the desktop client, but if you mean that VMware Workstation or VMware Player, then Yes you can.

  If I create a new VMWare image with server I can copy that out and use with VMWare Desktop then put it back?

  Use in workstation and then save it again as server, basically Yes you can.

• How can I make sure that an email has been sent?

  I was a user of Adobe SendNow Outlook until this morning, when I had to send an important document for a meeting this morning. SendNow for Outlook told me that he withdrew just, and so I was directed to this version of cloud Adobe send.   I could go and send my document. And later, I found the new Adobe send Outlook plugin.

  But in the meantime, my recipient has not yet recovered the document (depending on the State). I wonder how I can check the email that I sent by mail. I see nothing in the Adobe interface send cloud that allows me to see the e-mail address or the text of the email. This seems to be an important component missing. Or am I missing something?

• I am moving to a new computer and want to make sure that my Creative Suite transfers correctly.

  I get a new iMac and I have all my info my CS5 license. We use the Migration Assistant to transfer via, and I also have a Time Machine backup of my existing iMac. My question is, what do I have to uninstall on my old machine and reinstall on the new licensing, etc. to walk... or Migration assistant will be fine transfer on? I want to just make sure that I have no problem with my CS5 on the new machine.

  Migration undoubtedly will cause, at least, some significant problems.

  If you do not plan to use cs5 on your old computer, you need to open one of the programs and click Help > deactivate.

  then install cs5 using your installation files and activate using your serial number.  do not use time machine or assistant migration to move your adobe programs.

• TRUNC (date) want to make sure that I didn't miss something here!

  My query is due to go live to production, where it will run on all SUNDAYS in BI software to pick up the report based on the latest data of a week (Sunday last to last Saturday). For example, the query executed on September 29, 2013 "go get the report based on data from September 22, 2013 00:00:00 ' until September 28, 2013 23:59:59 '.

  I replaced the date code of irreversibly with the following text:

  -to test on my terminal: closed_date > = to_date('09/22/2013','MM/DD/YYYY') AND closed_date < (to_date (' 09/28/2013 ',' MM/DD/YYYY') + '1'-DAY interval)

  -replaced by the EC on production: closed_date > = closed_date TRUNC(sysdate-7) AND < (TRUNC(sysdate-1) + '1'-DAY interval)

  I want to just make sure I missed not anything here!

  What you have posted will get data from the last 7 days, not including today, so if we do run on Sunday, September 29, it will get the data from the previous Sunday (22 September) through yesterday (28 September) inclusive.

  What happens if you need to run late?  For example, if the system is shut down on Sunday, and you need the report Monday?  If you run this query on Monday, September 30, it will include data from Monday, September 23 and Sunday, September 29.  You may not care about this possibility, or it is maybe exactly what you want, but if you want something that is committed to get the week Sunday - through-Saturday last, use

  WHERE closed_date > = TRUNC (SYSDATE + 1, 'IW') - 8

  AND closed_date<  trunc="" (sysdate="" +="" 1,="" 'iw')="" -="">

  It's including Sunday, Sept. 22 to Saturday September 28 when its run anytime during the week of Sunday, September 29 Saturday, October 5.

  It's not you NLS parameters.

  As the title goes, I found a 2.2 gHz dual-core, for my HP a1510n. I discovered after looking through the previous discussions on this forum, that I needed a socket 939 processor. The processor seems to be compatible. I am mistaken, or have I missed something else?

  I was going to suggest eBay, these stores you were watching ask as much as an AMD Phenom II X 4! What a pity that some of the larger internet retailers have no more. I see that tigerdirect.com has very attractive prices on the 5200 + and 6000 +, but they do not have more than 4200 +, or not newegg.com.

  You are not in the United States because the seller for one on eBay that you linked to is located in Korea, otherwise, it will be fine. If you are in the U.S., then it seems pretty good (fresh cheaper port for free). It is still cheaper and comes with the radiator fan, but he's not a buy it now auction. There are heatink fans there, too.

  I invested today in this device and I cannot get the browser to work, I had a quick glance around the blackberry on this problem and the forums help section.

  I created the WiFi its come up as 'Wlan_089A8C '.

  I can always connect to the browser.

  I see the browser is "HotSpot Browser", but in general properties how to change the default browser for another browser to work?

  CNA anyone help me?

  You cannot change the WiFi browser with another browser without going through THE BlackBerry data Plan.

  The team Microsoft account I do not have a Microsoft Email account!  My wife did and when I click on the button check it evokes its address! I just bought a new Dell with Windows 8 and recorded with my separate email address and they send it to my e-mail address for confirmation and it evokes e-mail address of my wife in the cross reference by address or telephone numbers. It is very painful and would like to know what are my options to return to Windows 7

  Please follow the instructions below:

  How to check an e-mail address in your Microsoft account

  When you use a different e-mail to your Microsoft account, you get a link in an e-mail. Follow the link in that email to verify the address e-mail. If you need a new verification email:

  1. Connect to the Manage aliases for your account page.
  2. Click on validate next to your email address and then click on email.

  If you want to go for verification by phone, you must type the code that appears on the verification page. As soon as you type the phone number and click on "send code", the next page will ask you this code.
