Help! Computer HP DC7900 SFF freeze then BSOD

Please help, my dc7900 SFF has been so frustrating. Just after the start of the login screen, I log in after a few seconds, the screen freezes all pixelated and a bsod shows for one second and then the screen turns off. The Tower of the computer itself is still on.

I press the button for 5 seconds to hard reboot power and turn it back on, the screen remains black and the computer fans speed up to full power.

Now, I rarely beyond seconds logon before it freezes again. So I can't access minidump files. Also, I tested the memory modules in another computer and the graphics card, and they are very good. The drivers in Device Manager are all updated as well. The monitor is also perfectly correct.

Please help me!

    Hello

    in my dc7900 SFF and I don't have a chance.

    I followed these instructions without result.

    "When a PCIeX16 graphics card is installed in the PCI onboard VGA connector black
    "and display ports will be disabled automatically."

    What was happening is not with me. When I have a pci-e card in the dark crack in the system
    stills boots in VGA. It's like the pci-e slots are not there.

    "To solve this problem the PCIeX16 first graphics card must be installed in.
    the white PCI slot. "Then do the following:

    It made no difference.

    "Starting the unit to the BIOS by pressing F10 at startup upward.

    Select the device, advanced integrated graphics subsystem options and enable the embedded video.
    By default the built-in graphic subsystem will be defined as disabled. »

    I have no video option integrated in the device options.

    I then bought a NVS 290 pci - ex1 in case the mentioned White slot was the little

    In the BIOS of the safety device: there is no option video device

    I tried all combinations but nothings working, I even updated the

    Hi, John:

    Installation of a video slot PCIex16 black card should have automatically disabled the onboard video and the video card must have worked.

    I suggest...

    1. go to Device Manager and uninstall the integrated Intel graphics card and also uninstalling driver box.

    Shut down the PC.

    Unplug all connected to it... keyboard, mouse, monitor... everything.

    Follow the instructions to clear the CMOS.   See Appendix B, pp. 63 and 64.

    Install the video card and put everthing back together and see if it works.

  • HP DC7900 SFF: battery cmos HP DC7900

    Hello

    I have a HP DC7900 SFF refurbished running Widows 7 SP1.

    Everything's fine now, but as I've had the computer for about 18 months now, I find the CMOS battery will soon need to change the.  My questions relate to this situation.

    (1) I have not yet opened the computer so I'm not sure of the model battery.  I type lithium batteries CR2032 3v as him my old Packard Bell XP computer.  This is a BIOS battery commonly used - the HP DC7900 SFF also use it and if not what battery does use?

    (2) I downloaded documents HP regarding the HP DC7900 SFF, but I'm a little confused by the change information battery.  One document states that the BIOS got must be saved because they will be lost during the replacement process.  Is it true that I don't remember to do this on other computers?  If so, how can I save the settings?

    All the other tips about the CMOS battery change for this model would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

    Yes, you can use the battery 2032 what to have on hand.

    The only thing that's going to happen to the BIOS settings when you remove the battery, it is that they will be set to their default values.

    If you have not changed the BIOS settings, then there is no need to save the settings.

    I make a few changes to the BIOS settings in my dc7800 and I remember just what they are.

    I never saved before BIOS settings.

    You will need to set the time and date after replacing the battery.

  • my computer guard stop and start then I am browsing

    I have windows 7 installed in my computer. I'm not very tech savvy and don't know why, but the computer continues to stop and then hesitating and eventually go back to the top while I am browsing through Facebook or other Web sites. The computer is not shut down it's just sort of freezes. Also, I got messages saying that "pages do not react. I tried troubleshooting from my control panel and it worked once. It detected the problem corrected, and my computer was quick again. Now, it's back to frost up and such. I tried to resolve yet and that is to say 'no problem not detected '. This is why I post here. Again, I am not tech savvy so I have no idea what to do.  The other time the computer (when I did the first troubleshooting), I first called my cable company where I have my modem and wifi. Everything on their end was perfect. No problem there.  They suggested I have delete my browsing history. I did it. Nothing. It's still (once again) slowing down, freezing and eventually go back to the top.

    Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated!

    In addition, if the problem persists try a "clean boot" and see if that solves the problem:

    If a clean boot helps there are other measures in the article trying to find out what is causing the problem and then you could return to a normal startup.

  • Update CPU dc7900 sff

    Hello

    I have a DC7900 SFF with Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.80 GHz socket LGA775. I want to upgrade my CPU with best compotible CPU. On processors Intel web site I saw CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550S Processor with the same power (65W) necessary to last, but it is no longer sold.

    What is the solution?

    The Q9550S is not compatible with the motherboard of your computer desktop.

    The processors in the image below are compatible with the dc7900 SFF PC. You can always find the processors on the second hand market. Make a Google\Bing search to locate a source. I'd go with the processor Q9650. Search on the HP part number.

    As seen in the search I did on the part number for the Q9650, they are available. They are cheaper on the market, refurbished and second hand.

    Hello:

    You must integrate the drivers for XP sata controller to be installed.

    I zipped and tied the drivers you need below.

    Unpack the drivers that I have attached to their record.

    Then, read the section Intel the link below and the downloadable document that explains how to integrate the drivers that I've fixed it so that XP will be installed.

  • Upgrading power supply on DC7900 SFF

    Hi, I want to know what options are available to upgrade the power supply on my DC7900 SFF to support a graph card Radeon R6570.  Block of current output 250W PSU but the graphics card needs minimum 400W.  Did someone awatre of a secondary market PSU with > 500W that can fit into the SFF case?  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    You are the very welcome.

    Yes, this diet is the P/S standard for the dc7900 CMT.

    It will be, in any way, shape, fit into the dc7900 SFF.

    As I posted above, I do not know of any alternative feeds that will work in the SFF.

    Try the card as it is and see what happens.  What a guy says it works fine.

    I guess it depends on how much of a load you put on it and the other factors.

    Use this power supply calculator to help you determine if it is possible to use the 6570 in your machine.

  • setChecked() ToggleButton, causing demand to freeze, then SIGSEGV

    Hey all.  I started to develop my first Cascades / C++ application in my spare time (time full employment is developer java BB).

    I have a question which I hope someone can help me with.

    In my main constructor, after that I loaded in the QML document, I make a call to get a pointer to the QML object.  In this case, it's a toggle switch.

    // toggle switch
    mToggle = root->findChild("tab1_toggle");

    and further in the application, when a user touches another part of the screen or use a menu item, I trigger a method that contains this code:

    mToggle->setChecked(false);

    This code always causes the application to freeze, then the OS it stops and it printed in the console

    SIGSEGV code=1 fltno=11 ip=791f13f2(/base/usr/lib/libbbcascades.so.1@+0x35a9a) mapaddr=000f13f2. ref=00000010

    Why?

    What do you mean when you say "findChild method"?

    And Yes, I believe that it is valid.  Here is the part of the QML who lives the toggle

                    Container {
                        id: tab1_contToggle
                        layout: StackLayout {
                        }

                        layoutProperties: StackLayoutProperties {
                            horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Center
                        }
                        ToggleButton {
                            id: tab1_toggle

                        } // end of tab1_contRoot
                    } // end of tab1
