Help! I NEED A PROXY SERVER ADDRESS...

RECENTLY, I'VE RESTORED MY LAPTOP. NOW MY INTERNET CONNECTION IS VERY SLOW. I NEED A PROXY SERVER ADDRESS. WHERE CAN I GET OR FIND A?

It is not a matter of getting a proxy server address, it "s a question to configure a proxy server that is not a simple process and usually doesn't do much to increase the speed of the connection (although it improves it little to visit repeat sites).  During installation, an address is created or provided if you follow this path, but I really don't think it will solve the problem with the connection speed, even if it helps a little.  The proxy server must be installed on your own network.

Here is some general information about Proxy Server: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-is-a-proxy-server. Note that it says it uses a computer other than the proxy server and that it is for commercial environments and not usually for home networks.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

  • Need help in configuration of Proxy reverse using Apache - R12

We have a reverse proxy configuration using Apache 2.2 for Oracle Apps R12.
Demand is expected to go this way: Load Balancer (Port: 443) (https)-> reverse Proxy (Apache-> Server(Port: 8000) Application)(Port: 8000)-> database (Port: 1521).
Application is configured in https mode.

Now, when we go to the URL we get initial redirection page. i.e.
The E-Business Home Page is located at
    https://upgtest.ultimatix.org/OA_HTML/AppsLogin
If your browser is not automatically redirect to its new location, click here.

Then after redirection we get 404. Single application (without the reverse proxy server) works very well. We get the problem when you use the reverse proxy server between the two.
We receive a 404 error on apache reverse proxy server. Please help us to solve the issue.
Need urgent help. Best regards, Stéphane

We have successfully configured. The installation works fine now.

  • I do not use a proxy server to connect to internet, but Firefox is automatically configured to use the loopback address.

I have a direct connection to the internet and that you do not use a proxy server. Every few weeks, Firefox will automatically reset itself to be configured to use a proxy to the loopback address (127.0.0.1). Manually change to 'No proxy' works, but I have to do so every time I open the browser or even a new tab. The only solution I can find is to create a new profile that gives me a new, clean install of FF, but then I lose all my Add-ons. This has happened several times now and it's extremely frustrating. I have scanned for malware, but have not found any problems.

Hello rjlasser, first of all please make sure that none of your extensions is the origin of the problem (some circumvention of censorship of youtube addons do also use proxies for example).

Otherwise please see How to fix the preferences that will not save for common solutions.

  • With the help of my signature via a proxy server does not terminate but not from RIM

I now use the signature Server successfully to sign sensitive data on the device

    associated with our application.

However, when trying to sign full RIM signatures through a proxy server, and my

Server deals in reality as well and even send emails of success, but the signing tool

does not receive a final acknowledgement that he search and eventually times out.

I noticed for RIM signatures that we are hitting servlets, while the default configuration value for our

    signature server is used.

Is there something we need to do for our server works correctly when it is connected through the proxy?

NOTE: everything works fine when the server is on the same network as the GIS tool.

    Thank you

    Mark

It turns out that it's the server signature RIM as I expected.  It does not return the appropriate response headers.

The server does only return HTTP/1.1 200 OKCRLF and then the payload.  We discovered

If we put an Apache proxy before the server signature and after our proxy

that it will accommodate the non-standard answer and mark the headers with a stored block transfer

coding and then all is good.

So the reason why the public signature RIM servers work through the proxy must be either because the bug

This server is fixed or a proxy because Apache-like sitting in front of the signature server.

I hope that this will save others some grief in the future.

  • All traffic Vlan to the Interface of the Proxy Server

    Hello!

I need little help to route all the traffic on VLAN to the proxy server.

I have different VLANS on switches L2 200-26 and by 300-28-L3 for routing.

I have already created VLANs and able to rout them, but facing problem for routing traffic to the interface proxy for internet access.

I have different VLAN for example Vlan 10, 10.10.10.0/24 sales, Vlan20 10.10.20.0/24 Marketing. I have trunk between switches interfaces and default 1U is the same on all switches.

My proxy server has two NICs, one is connected to a dsl modem and other one to the switch port that uses the IP 192.168.0.2 to default vlan1.

I am able to surf the internet using vlan1 but not on ther VLAN.

I put the route defaults to the switch of 192.168.0.2, but don't not routing for internet to another VLAN.

    Thank you

    Hello

    To answer your questions:

    1. I have to update the following files?

    https://software.Cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283019617&release...

Yes, please let me know what firmware and boot code, that you have right now and I'll tell you what is the best way for you to upgrade because you shouldn't go straight to the latest firmware unless you run already 1.3.5.58 or later version.

    2. it supports to 8 dhcp pools. I have swimming pools, but I have more than 8 VLAN. I put all the settings, works very well.

You are right and I forgot to mention the limitation of only 8 DHCP pools, I'm sorry. That being said, make sure that your current DHCP server uses IP addresses assigned to each VLAN on the switch as the gateway by default for the VLAN respective.

3 for the Proxy Server, I need to find a way to point back roads of VLAN to vlan mapping static address on the switch. I'm confused in this little piece.

I understand that this can be confusing, let me see if I can explain it a little better.

Assuming that everything on the switch is configured according to my recommendations can

    1. you need a single, a route by default on the switch, so that when a PC is connected to one of VLAN on she tries to go online, an unknown IP address to the switch, it will send it to the Ip address of the router, because the proxy server will be able to reach this IP public, unknown to any Web site.

2 - when the traffic is back to this Web site, it will be intended for another subnet that the proxy server is on. Suppose the answer is looking for 10.10.10.100 (subnet unknown to the proxy server), without a static route on the proxy server it say where to send this traffic, packets are simply deleted.

    3. you need to create as many static routes on the proxy server as the amount of VIRTUAL LANs, you have on your network.

For now I know that the proxy server is 192.168.0.2 on VLAN 1 but I don't know what the IP address of the switch is on the same VLAN, it should be something on the 192.168.0.x range.

All journeys should look like this:

10.10.10.1 255.255.255.0 send 192.168.0.x (IP address of the switch on the VLAN 1)

10.10.20.1 255.255.255.0 send 192.168.0.x (IP address of the switch on the VLAN 1)

Alternatively, if all your internal VIRTUAL local networks are on the beach of 10.10.x.x then you should be able to create a single rule to summarize all the VLAN as this:

10.10.1.1 255.255.0.0 send 192.168.0.x (IP address of the switch on the VLAN 1)

Please let me know if it was a little clearer.

Feel free to ask any questions.

  • Unable to access the store using the proxy server.

I'm in Windows 8. I'm unable to access the app Store. He said:-"we were not able to connect to the Store. This could not have come because of a problem with the server or the connection network has expired. Please, wait a few minutes and try again.and some other applications also. I use a 1.1 proxyserver (squid) that requires basic authentication.
However I m able to use some of them as weather, maps, etc.

I read solutions who suggested to temporary disable firewall and antivirus for test, I even try it but fails again.

Other suggestions where has been going for windows 8.1 upgrade level, but how can I get this update, as it is downloaded in store that I can't access. Help, please.

    Hi Anand,

Your computer is connected to a domain?

Using a proxy server can allow the administrator to limit access to the Internet.

You can reduce the effect of these problems by allowing unauthenticated through your proxy server access. We recommend that you enable unauthenticated access only for connections to URLs used by each application that has a problem. Some proxy servers may suggest that you create a list of URLs (also known as the 'white list') permissions.

Please refer to the article to address these issues that relate to the use of Windows Store apps or use of Microsoft applications that are included with Windows Update or Windows 8, you can include the addresses mentioned in the article in a list of permissions ('white list') on your proxy server and enable HTTP and HTTPS access for them :

The use of proxies authenticated with Windows 8

For more information, see the article:

Using the Proxy selection and Proxy bypass lists

  • Creative cloud with proxy server

    Hello

I checked many discussions, but didn't find any solution for my problem.

I have a normal CreativeCloud I want to install on one of my notebooks. This laptop is used for businesses on the one hand (secure with McAfee and proxy) and on the other hand for my personal use.

Now, I tried to configure the proxy settings to my Manager of CreativeCloud, but could not find the options.

How can I configure the CreativeCloud to work with the proxy server?

Please note: because the laptop is used also for companies, I certainly can't unlock the URL for the Adobe servers. There must be a possibility to use the proxy.

    Hope for helpf,

    CU

So now, I found the solution. Maybe it's only one for our network, but maybe this will help others to.

Please note: there is a solution to get the connection to the CreativeCloud Manager to the internet to connect and download the apps. Apps itself do not have internet connection, synchronization if preferences etc. is not yet possible with this workaround.

So if you have a proxy running, you will see when you click on the Internet Explorer Tools Internet Options-->-->--> Connections--> LAN settings, you will get the above windows.

Now, if you have a proxy running, the second point must be marked, and there should be a proxy address. So if you want to get the internet connection running for your MAC, just check the last option (and perhaps uncheck the other). Now your proxy should not make problems and your CCM needs to connect to the internet.

Has worked with our network here, perhaps the solution for other people. Not yet the application preferences sync but install apps now without prefs is much better than not using apps ;-)

Google does this. It uses the IP address you connect since to determine where you are. According to the Google service you are trying to fix it, you must contact them to correct.
