  I read in previous posts as much as possible in the hope of finding someone with the same problem I have but not luck. Here is the problem.

  My Indesign CS5 launch, but just after I try to open a new or existing document Mac spinning wheel appears and I can't do anything in Indesign then. I have to Force quit to exit Indesign. I have a new MacBook Pro 17 "laptop with Mac OSX v.10.6.3.   One of my colleagues helped me with that. I tried Adobe support, but when they find out, I heard nothing more from them. At work, one of my colleagues knows this kind of computer/Mac-Fixer. His first proposal was to remove all plugins and try to install them again - one by one. I discovered that the plugin for character Chinese/Japanese/Korean called SING. InDesignPlugin caused my problem. I just removed this from my Plugins/text file and InDesign CS5 has worked well.

• HP 14 laptop: there are vertical lines that appear on my monitor HP 14-r024TX

  When I opened my laptop, a vertical line has appeared in the centre and disappears in a short time like 5-10 minutes of using the device. The case is repeated for 2 weeks until week 3, there are more lines appeared and does not disappear. I went to my dealer and they said they will send the laptop to the company here in the Philippines. Should I back up my files first before sending it even if just the monitor will be replaced? How long he's going to be fixed? and my unit has a genuine copy of Windows 8?. Also, my unit did not fall to the ground to make. Please help! and I thank you in advance.

  Ok. In this case backup all your data by copying and pasting on external hard drive and the HP Recovery Manager backup tool & expected repair with HP in your region.
  
  You could also do an entire hard drive / image back to another external drive using the built in Windows 8 Control Panel tool and using third-party tools such as Macrium Reflect free. You will need Windows rescue CD to return after restore everything back to the laptop.

  I asked about this problem for a while - it still exists under Windows 7 Microsoft apparent feels that it is the correct behavior. In an application using a dialog open, where multiple files can be selected by clicking on them, while the CTRL key is held down, the resulting list of file names appears in the file text box. However, the first clicked file name remains last in the list while others remain in the proper order. Why is this? (An example of application is Windows Media Player, where you do a right click, then click on file and then open. The open dialog box appears and allows the selection of multiple files). When this "feature" has been more boring, it's when I try to create a CD or DVD and I want to control the order of the files.

  This feature is by design. Of course, you can select the files in reverse order. I would really recommend providing feedback about this here:

  This problem is me slaughter of the games through windows, I think that someone can give me an idea to solve this problem.

  CfFnc is Toshiba support application to allow you to connect to wireless networks.  Have nothing to do with you a game if it does not work unless the game was on a website and you could not get on the Internet at all.  In this case, you do not want to ask for help from the Toshiba support as to why the application crashes.  In the end, it shouldn't be your games do not work.

  In Safe Mode, many devices do not work, then no sound is not a problem here. Connect an external monitor to your computer laptop, is the line shown in the monitor as well?  It seems that if your laptop must be taken to a workshop for diagnostic work.

  The exact type of RAM is entirely dependent on the motherboard.

  And once you know what kind of RAM it needs, you could easily replace Kingston, crucial, or just check amazon (but don't read comments, some brands are just out of luck).

  I have a Toshiba Satellite L850-A925 for 6 months. And I have this annoying problem with the webcam.
  I installed all the drivers and even when I turn on the webcam application, it gives no error.
  The only problem, I don't see anything on the cam on my side.
  Just a black screen with a few stripes of color around moving more and there.
  If please suggest me a good solution for this or is this a hardware problem?
  I had attached the screenshot of what exactly Iam get when I turn on the webcam application or other applications using the webcam (Skype, Oovoo,...).

  Please help me on this and I'm hoping for a simple and effective solution.

  Since when did you notice this problem? I can't imagine that it occurs on the first day.
  In the specifications, I found the info that this machine has been preloaded with Win7 64 bit. Everything is OK with the factory settings was after the first start?

  Easy solution? Everybody wants it but the problem is that on this virtual way in most cases we can only speculate what may be the problem.

• A user network folders that appear for all users

  So, I have one that I'm stumping. I work in a school with a portable one-student-per-computer program. I created images for several models of computers and they deployed on the student machines. I did this with my login.

  Now that school has started, I noticed that several times when a student logs on their computer, they see a list of my network disks. They do not have permission to access the drives. There is a group policy in place of our network admin, who is supposed to let students see their own network drives, but these do not show up until you manually disconnect each of my network drives.

  The systems were Sysprep before the image was captured.

  I think there must be a copy cached my network disks resides somewhere in the picture, who gets shot in the images get deployed. I looked under the C:\Users\Default folder to see if I can find something here, but I couldn't. Google searches do not seem to be much help either.

  Anyone have any idea?

  When I initially implemented the VSA pole I had no access to DNS (and did not make changes to a host file) so I added the console to vCenter using their IP address.

  I would like to make it appear by their host names in the Console of vCenter.  The simple way to right click and rename is not an option.

  In looking at some of the books online that they do not appear to specify that the procedure works just with the ASB configured.

  Can someone point me in the right direction?

  I just went for it with the past in mind docs.  I put my VSA cluster in maintenance mode before I removed the hosts in the cluster.

  I just added them back and everything seems fine.

• [Help] - Illustrator CS5: thinning lines (paths) with width tool?

  Hello all, maybe it's my first post time on forums so forgive me if I made a mistake anyway.

  Well, to cut to the Chase, what I want to do is;

  I have an existing part of the drawing in Photoshop. It's just a single line of an animal, and it's a very clean room (no sketch lines whatsoever). I opened this file in Illustrator and used the wonderful Live Trace command which instantly makes a really nice version, crisper of the existing drawing.

  Now, I want to do is to thicken or thin portions of this newly made "Line Art". What I realized is that, if I, for example, use the pencil tool and draw a few strokes, I'm able to use with width tool (Shift-W, right?) to race "thinner" or "thicker". What I want to do is to emulate it on the piece of work that is generated using Live Trace.

  Such a task is possible? I tried 'Extension' or 'Live-painting"on the work, but I still cannot use the width tool.

  Could someone guide me on this? Thank you so much in advance.

  Wade, you can adjust your settings: just push the slider "race weight Max ' to the right. Then you will see that vectorization can indeed trace as stroke.

  

• Horizontal lines that appear randomly in the Pages document. How to remove?

  The lines are a dark gray, almost black. They often appear when reformatting a line or paragraph. I hope there is a way to remove and prevent them.

  Oops. Looks like it was an automatic paragraph border turned on somehow. I eliminated it by updating the style of text 1 with borders defined as 'none '.
