Help is always above other windows

Currently, I have RoboHelp 7 and creates a CHM file. Currently, the help is always above other windows. Y at - it a setting for allow other windows be on top help?

Thank you

Ron

Hi Ron

CHM files use defined Windows. You do not have access to the window settings that govern how it behaves. I'm happy to share where you can check this. But chances are you'll discover this is not the CHM and contains all the configurations required. It probably has more to do with how your application developer calls the CHM. I believe in the call for help if they are able to specify the behavior. If you want to confirm this, simply open the CHM on its own by double-clicking it. If it is not above other applications, there is your proof.

To check the settings of the window, click on view > pods > project implementation. Then, expand the Windows folder. There you should find a definition of the window for your CHM file. Double-click it to open the Editor window. When it opens, click on the properties button in the lower right corner of the dialog box, and then click the Extended Styles . This option is called upper window.

As I said earlier, my guess is that you will find that this is not enabled. But it won't hurt to recheck it. As a last effort to prove that it is not the CHM file, you can try to define a completely new window and set up this window by default when compiling. And if after all that the CHM * STILL * is on top, it's time to throw on the developer's lap.

See you soon... Rick

  • Content of the Firefox window above other windows

    Okay, maybe it's a strange.

Since the beginning of April, I had a problem with Firefox where when refreshes the contents of a tab (for example, on the tumblr dashboard), the content of the window will appear above any other window I opened.

    For example:
Firefox is open, and I also (for example) Excel open with a spreadsheet that I'm trying.

The two windows are maximized, and Excel in short - is on top of Firefox.

Firefox is not visible at this point, with the exception of his bar in the task bar.

Firefox updated then tumblr/echofon/whatever it is which is refreshing.

This is for a reason any causes the Firefox window to be returned on everything that is currently under discussion - Excel, for example - but not Firefox brings into focus. To get rid of what I need to develop Firefox, then return to the program I was using.

Are these ordinary web pages - it does not seem to be specifically associated with media players that write directly to the screen?

Could you try to disable graphics hardware acceleration? As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

If you restart Firefox, the problem is solved?

  • Is it possible to keep the Firefox window above other windows applications when Firefox is reduced to a minimum?

My goal is to watch a movie in a small window of Firefox (upper-left 1/3 of the screen) while continuing to work in my other competent the remaining portion of the screen.

This addon should do the job

You will need to open your video in a window and not completely minimize just reduce it to the size you want.

  • Window of alt - tab will not stay above other windows in Windows 7

When I do an alt - tab in Windows 7, if I change constantly window (by pressing alt and quickly by clicking tab), it will be in Peek mode.  Normally, I'm expecting the alt - tab window to stay on top, when comes the Peek, but instead of this, my little alt - tab window disappears behind the windows being presented by the look.  I can still scroll through windows by pushing alt - tab, but my window has disappeared.  When I tried this on someone else the Windows 7 box, it has not done this.

I recently started having this problem.

In my case, I narrowed down it to the Windows Gadgets (i.e. sidebar.exe). Once I have closed all my gadgets, the problem disappeared. Otherwise, when I killed sidebar.exe, the problem disappeared.

  • Firefox will move behind other windows

Y at - it a solution for the following bug?

Open a firefox window and another under osx (lion or higher). Make sure firefox is focused. Now switch to another space (for example an application full screen) and then come back. Firefox now moves behind the other window.

This bug is annoying, so please help me if someone know a solution.
    Thank you

I finally solved the problem. If you create a second desktop computer, another problem occurred: firefox is always on each desktop. If you open a tab on desktop 1, the tab is also open on desktop 2. I wanted to solve this problem and I clicked on the icon of firefox, then in the menu options, and then click Assign votes to zero. This solves the problem where firefox was on each workstation, but also the development of waste and theft.

    In short:
    1. open a second desktop computer

    2. right click on the firefox icon
    3 options/assign None

  • Unable to connect to other Windows 7 network devices - 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes

I have a network consisting of Windows 7 laptop computers, an XP laptop and a Wireless Linksys (Cisco) WRT610 N + N with storage attached to it via its USB port.  Your PC Windows 7 has, since I can see and access to other computers and devices on storage.  Since Windows PC B I can not connect (via the file manager) to A PC or NAS storage network.  Get such as 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes when you try to connect to the IP address on the device name.  When I ping the devices of PC B I have no trouble to achieve.

I turned off all firewalls, added the LMHOST file entries and a myriad of other tests and still cannot connect to PC B devices.  I can surf the net fine and do everything else - simply cannot connect to other devices even if these other devices can connect to me.

I was in there for 22 years and has worked as an engineer on major networks and the network I stem - anyone got any idead. I checked all the basics such as Netbios, file sharing etc etc.

  • All network devices can see each other + Windows 7 computer, but machine Windows 7 can not see them

Hello. Under the network of my machine Windows 8 folder, I can see all the devices on the network. This includes a printer, my computer Windows 7 (what I can access), an Apple TV (from special software), a wireless hard drive, the router and a digital recorder.

The Windows 7 machine, I can only see the router and the printer. On special software, the Apple TV does not either. When you perform the Windows 8 computer host as a server for the special software, the Windows 7 machine could not see it on the special software. This means that there is something wrong on the Windows 7 this machine is not allowing him to detect other devices.

In a game of LAN, Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers can't see each other.

All devices are on the internet and I am posting this from the Windows 7 machine right now.

Windows 7 and Windows 8 machine are on the same network.

No device is on a host group and the group home service is disabled.

    Peer networking is enabled.

    Network discovery is turned on.

Both connections are set to private/Home.

Originally, the Windows 7 machine has been on his own home group and could be seen by anything. After a few hours, I finally got out of the home group, how other devices could see him then. However, he cannot always see other devices.

How can I get the Windows 7 machine to see other devices? I am at a loss. Is there a service that I have disabled right now that needs to be enabled? I don't know what to do.

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

Disable the security software and check.

    Hello

    You are welcome

If the CD/DVD drive in the works of PC Gateway, you can (at least temporarily) remove it and install it in the HP, you can run your recovery disc and reinstall Vista.  Once everything is running on the HP, you can always remove the CD/DVD drive and reinstall it in the gateway PC if you wish.

I have Windows XP, and I wish that IE to always expand the window of IE when a window is opened.  If it is a new feature in IE9. It is not available for me because I don't have Vista or Windows7.  Any ideas?

    Three options.

1: take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and this last one. Windows will remember the size used in the last window closed , the next time that you open the program.

  • BitLocker encrypted laptop USBs open on any other Windows PC?

    Hello

Running Windows 7 ultimate and have encrypted a 2 GB and 32 GB Flash DRIVE using Bitlocker program that resides in the Windows 7 operating system.

Have looked for answers online / on this forum and I'm still unclear whether encrypted flash drives can be opened on the PC they were encrypted on? It is important that any damage caused to the 'mother' PC would mean that the encrypted USB drives are useless.

To clarify, would like to ensure that these flash drives can be opened through Bitlocker on any computer that has installed Windows/BitLocker.

Pretty sure that I do not use Bitlocker to go as I had never heard of the front.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I suggest you return the article mentioned below to learn more about BitLocker. Hope that these articles will help you get answers to your questions.

You can use BitLocker Drive encryption to protect your files on a disc. BitLocker can help the hacks to access the files on the system, that they rely on to discover your password, or to access your drive by physically removing from your PC and install it in another. You can always connect to Windows and use your files as you normally would.
