• API to set the help text

  Hi all

  I'm on Apex 4.2.5. I want to give a superuser can change the help text in an application. Is there an api procedure which gives the floor so that a user (super) can change the help texts of the fields of the application? I can then write a page with a report of all elements with labels with help texts (query select page_id page_name, region, apex_application_page_items label where application_id = 110 and lower (item_label_template) like '% with assistance %') and call the api when the help text is changed.

  Otherwise, I'll put in a clean table help texts. But how to manage that when a user clicks on a link with the help text, who recorded the text appear?

  No, but there is a feature request for it.

  You will have to create your own AJAX dynamic action that replaces the built-in bindings click on the help links.

• Helps to replace a string in a txt file with a string from a csv file

  Hi all

  I worked on the script following since a few days now, determined to exhaust my own knowledge before asking for help... Unfortunately, it didn't take very long to exhaust my knowledge :-(

  Basically, I need to replace a value in a single file (raw.txt) with the value of another file (userids.csv) when a variable is. Then I released the results of a third file.

  To do this, I divided the "raw" file into variables using the ',' as the separator, the problem is that some variables are intentionally empty, where the fi $variable = "statements.

  It is currently what I want to do but only when the userids.csv file contains a single line. It is obviously because of the foreach ($user in import)... What I need to figure out is how to loop through the file raw.txt, text replacement when a variable in the user ID file is the text in raw.txt... I hope that makes sense?

  The user ID file is in the following format - user, service, Dept that can contain dozens of lines

  I would appreciate any pointers :-)

  The problem, in my opinion, was in nested ForEach loops.

  I understand that you are missing text messages on your new iPad.  I'm not sure what you mean by "text replacements."  The resources below explains how to transfer content from the iPad to the other.  This is the process you used?

• Japanese text replaced by boxes after the recent update of Windows

  Windows 7 can not represent the Japanese text after that Windows Update - changes the text boxes - applies to all applications - itunes, Windows Live Mail - mail header text replaced by boxes. The emails themselves are not affected - Japanese content can be displayed. Made a restoration and Japanese text returned. However then windows update again and the Japanese text has been lost, which means that this issue is one of the updates.

  Install the updates, if the problem persists

  You can try to change the display language for the Japanese, follow these steps:

  1. click Startand type change display language in the box start the search .

  2. click on view change of language.

  Now, check if the problem is resolved, if the problem persists

  Uninstall the most recently installed update until find you the problem causing the update:

• Create the help text for the column tabular APEX region

  Hi guys,.

  Please see the screen - shot below.

  I have to do two things:

  1. this "5000" value is passed in the URL, for example P_41_TOTAL_LEAD_VALUE and I want to display in the currency format, i.e. 5 000.
  If the value is 60000, it should be displayed as 60 000.

  2. I am required to display the help text for column of tabular form - expected quarterly value, how to proceed with that?

  I have not tried to use the Format mask, however there is no change in the display format.

  Even I tried in a different format, nothing happens.

  Try the steps given, which will solve your problem

  1. create a hidden item I say P41_LEAD_VALUE

  Protected value: No.

  Pass the URL value on this element hidden instead of P_41_TOTAL_LEAD_VALUE.

  2 create a calculation on the point P_41_TOTAL_LEAD_VALUE

  Type: SQL Expression

  Point calculation: after region (s)

  Calculation: TO_CHAR (: P41_LEAD_VALUE, '999G999G999G999G999G999G990')

• How can I me "help text" to export to PDF (on PC)?

  I have created a form and entered the help text for each field.  However, I can't text 'help' to transfer to the PDF form.  I use Acrobat Pro XI on a PC.

  I suggest that you create only the fields in Acrobat. FormsCentral is dead, quite well. It might be good for the layout of the form, but the fields must be added only in Acrobat. You can add the ToolTip text that appears when the user hovers over the field in Acrobat, under properties - general tab.

  Take a look in the label template. You can reference the name of the item and the item id here. This modal page plugin is availabel to apex - plugin.com.

• "Help text" change for end users?

  I guess you need to implement a custom solution where you can create a mapping table that holds the info on AID for the ELEMENTS of the apex.

  And change your point label template to get the help of your custom table.

  So now, you could provide the end user with the help of change required function.

• Gray help text in the text box

  Nice day!  I've looked everywhere and have not found a solution and would be very grateful for the help.

  I am working on a form with of many drop-down menus and boxes of text for users to fill out.  I am eager to have the gray help text will appear in the boxes by default, and then the text disappear when the user clicks or tabs inside.  This format is very common on Web sites and would work very well with what I'm doing.

  At this point, I'm a cut and paste Javascripter.  However, mainly through this forum, I was able to create some pretty cool things, and I'm looking forward to learn more.

• How to add the help text to the tabular columns?

  I have some tabular forms. I want to add help to the header of the column.
  APEX allows you to add page elements helping, but I don't see the option for the tabular columns. No idea/solution workaround?

• Hyperlink in the help text element

  Hi guys,.
  
  I am currently having a help text area that appears on a text element to display a hyperlink.
  
  We have an internal intranet document that displays detailed documentation for the user who gives help on the page element. Does anyone know if it is possible to have this document as a clickable hyperlink in the help text on the ground?
  
  I tried to do something like a href ="" | " NVL(ltsc_r.Attachment,'-') | » » >'|| ' Click to view ' | ' < /a > in the help text, but had no success.

  The rest of the wizard for a text field with AutoComplete you reach a screen where you can enter an LOV query. The text of the query box has following help text
