No matter where I right click on a webpage displayed (NOT the bar menu at the top of the screen), in computer text highlighted, a white spot in a Web page, or whatever it is, the shortcut menu for a hyperlink appears upward (with options to open it in a new tab, window or private (, bookmarking), and none of these options actually do anything, even if it is a hyperlink, I'm clicking. With the help of shortcuts like Ctrl + click on work very well. I have not recently installed plug-ins, and it only started a few hours ago. Wat do I do?
Try disabling Firebug and see how it is.

Context menus for both the left mouse and right-click
I have a desktop HP Pavilion 500 with Windows 8. Installed in the first week of April 2014. I have a mouse wired HP supplied with my desktop computer. Last week, the two mouse clicks left & right to display the context menu. I did not any changes to the settings of the mouse. Any suggestions on how I can get this working properly again?
Hello MBSola,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.
I understand that a problem with your desktop PC HP Pavilion 500 where both left and right click are bring up the right click options and that he only started last week. I suggest you use the HP support document: use Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8), which will guide you through how to restore your computer to a point in time (a week or two ago) where the left click was working properly on your computer.
Please re-post if you need extra support. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

Windows 7: crashes Explorer on right click
I started having accidents Explorer frequently about a month ago. I cleaned the registry, delete unused programs, defraged Windows partition. Finally, in desperation, I reinstalled from Run in Windows. I did a restore of system files.
Now, whenever I right click on a folder or a file, explore crashes (get the usual search, a message of solution or close and restart). I can only think that there is a problem in the registry. But how to fix it? I don't want to do a clean install. Is there a .reg file that does not exist to import to restore Explorer? Or a repair order explore?
I'm desperate. Must be functional today. Will try to install all previous updates in the hope that something solves this problem.

When I right click on the menu, the menu bar drop-down click menu to open correctly, down to the right of the mouse pointer, but the problem I have is that where never otherwise I right-click such as office, for example, menu opens downwards and to the left of the mouse pointer. It is very annoying and I have found no way to change this. It worked very well upward until a week ago. I did not alter the settings by default and even tried the "reset default" option under settings of the mouse, but still did not set. Help, please!
I found the answer to this, and here's how to solve this problem, if anyone else needs it. I think, in the last update, it changed side menu under the Tablet PC settings. Here's how to fix it:
Click Start, type Tablet PC settings
Click on the Tablet PC settings link from the start menu search results
In the Tablet PC Settings dialog box, under handedness, selectleft-handed.
When this option is selected, the context menus appear on your right, which is the default setting. The only exception is that when there is not enough real estate available on the right to display screen context menu, Windows displays the menu on the left hand side automatically.

I have all of a sudden, am more able to open anything in my library or by email by double left click on the item. Now... I have to either save and open by selecting open or simply I am unable to use my computer to see anything which requires the opening.
What is everything? How to fix?
There was a similar... in fact same post in Windows 8... but nobody will suggest reasonable fixes...
Thanks if you can help...
Right click, choose 'Open with', and then choose by default, which will fix it so that when you double-click on it uses the one you have chosen.

I recently updated my first to the latest version (Release 2015.1; Adobe Premiere Pro CC v9.1).
Since the update, I just couldn't do a right-click on my sequence files in my part of the project. I am able to do a right click on the clips and other files, but not the sequences.
I use a right click on the clips to quickly duplicate the sequence in order to save previous versions of my changes.
I can still duplicate by selecting the sequence, then go in Edition > duplicate... but right click is just so much more practical and useful while I'm editing.
Is there a particular reason why a right click is no longer available on the sequence files in creative projects?
R. Hernandez
I just discovered this problem as well where I could not right click on the clips in my calendar.
What worked for me was to change / reset my workspace.
Seems to work fine now.

Windows 7 help and support says to "convert recorded TV (.wtv) file to an older format go the folder where your recorded TV files are stored (usually C:\Users\Public), right click on the file you want to convert and then click on convert to .dvr-ms Format.»
When I right-click on these files there is no option to "Convert to .dvr-ms Format." is there a way to do this, or a parameter in the folder to allow this?
I don't know why your computer does not have this option. If your computer has the conversion program: C:\windows\ehome\wtvconverter.exe. If this is the case, you can run it from a command prompt window (Start >all programs > Accessories > prompt ) by entering these commands:
CD /d c:\windows\ehome
wtvconverter sourcefile targetfile /ShowUIwhere:
sourceFile = full path of the .wtv file you want to convert
TargetFile = full path of the .dvr-ms file that you want to create
/ShowUI (as an option). If so, show the progress of the conversion in a separate windowFor example:
CD /d c:\windows\ehome
wtvconverter "C:\users\public\public tv\TV Show.dvr - ms recorded" /ShowUI 'C:\users\public\public tv\TV Show.wtv recording'To convert a whole folder of .wtv files .drv-ms format, use this command:
wtvconverter sourcefolder\*.wtv/ShowUI
For example:
wtvconverter "C:\users\public\public recorded tv\ * .wtv ' /ShowUI
