Help... Windows xp sp3.

I had the virus/malware. He surpassed MSE and was high jacking some of my. EXE files. Even in safe mode, try to run MSE or REG EDIT it would start "XP Security Center 2011" or something like that. I had MSE to run and do a full scan, it removed a multitude of files, programs, but has not corrected the problem. I was able to find the program SHJ. EXE, causing most of my concerns. I was able to stop the program and get up reg edit. I deleted all the data pointing to shj.exe. However, my .exe programs are still not functional. It seems that what ever windows is trying to run 'application' is missing. .exe is associated with 'application' in folder options, but he doesn't always know what to do with the .exe. It seems that I can boot into safe mode with cmd prompt, run Notepad and the cmd reg import. but I do not know which key to reinstall or correct. any ideas?

Thanks for your help

Go to this page:

Identify the line that reads:
Difficulty of EXE file Association (Restore the default binding for EXE files)
Right click on the link and select Save target as. In the next window, select a convenient location (such as office).
Go to the download location and right click on the file, then click on extract all. Follow the instructions in the Extraction Wizard (you will probably need to click Next, Next, Finish).
You should now see the folder decompressed with one file inside: xp_exe_fix.reg (the .reg may or may not show depending on your settgins). Double-click on this file. (Which should solve the immediate problem and restore the .exe association.)
It is important to run MBAM. Information can be found here:
For good measure, I also recommend the portable SAS scanning:

  • Windows XP SP3 - Outlook Express receives and sends mail but do not delete received messages. Can you help?

Windows XP SP3 - Outlook Express receives and sends messages, but do not delete received messages.  Can you help?

You have corruption of dbx files.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

Compact all folders as described below.

To avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

    Hello

    Try this:

Control Panel - device - sounds Manager - note manufacturer device name and info on the graduating model.
Double click and get the date and version of the driver (if 06 are dates, you use the default windows driver). Now
Click the DRIVER UPDATE (this can not find anything because MS is far behind the certification of drivers). Now LAW
CLICK above and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it will refresh the driver stack.

Now, go to the manufacturer of the system and recover the last pilot audio/Hi-Fi as a fall.

Download it - SAVE - go to where you put it - RIGHT CLICK top - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT

Now do the same for the manufacturer of the device (the one that made the device - if you were using the default windows
you might need to look in the Device Manager - his new driver).

Often, you will need to run the sound card drivers several times to get the latest version installed and will appear in
Manager - Sound. This is because they make back the drivers one at a time and then finally install the
most recent. Look in the Device Manager to be sure that you have installed the version of the driver is the one showing, if not
run the driver again (reset each time) until the shows a correct.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Disable the menu bar, the option apears in my Firefox 3.6 X using Windows XP SP3, but not in the same version with Ubuntu 10.04

With the help of dual boot OS, Windows XP SP3 / Ubuntu 10.04. Even Firefox v3.16.13. In windows, using the button display in the menu bar, I can't turn off the menu bar. You use Ubuntu, the same option is available in "display".
I used "subject: Config" before, but I'm very careful and document all changes. Any time I need to access the menu items, using windows, I just use alt = _.

In versions of Firefox 3.6 you can hide the bar of menus under Windows and not Linux. In Firefox 4 beta current versions you can hide the Menu bar and have the greyish Firefox button instead and use F10 to temporarily show the Menu bar, so you need to wait or try the beta version .

  • v3141TU. could not install SP35682 on Windows XP - SP3. Audio does not

    Hi all

I just installed my v3141TU with Windows XP - SP3.

and I have installed all the necessary additional drivers.

I also installed the Microsoft UAA Audio (SP33566) from the HP website. and it's a successful installation.

problem comes when I try to install the SP35682 (Conexant Audio) while "initializing app", it comes with an error

"Driver Installation Failed: could not find the device of MEDIA for this driver."

and on the Windows Device Manager, there is always a "PCI Device" outstanding pilots. I guess this Conexant Audio devices.

    about his work until now.

I tried to use 3rd party software to find the correct drivers (such as DriversMax and Driver Checker) and it does not help!

    Help, please.

PS: in the past, before installing the new windows, it works very well with Windows XP only.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Uninstall your audio driver and install this:

MS-UAA fo SP3 (required with a reboot before Audio and Modem) here

Then try to reinstall your sound driver from herehp Web site.

During this audio driver does not work then try this one.

  • Problems on Mac OX 10.6 V.S. Windows XP SP3

    Hi all

I have a problem with my MacBook Pro.

My system is Mac OX 10.6, but I use BootCamp to 10.6 to implement the portable Windows XP SP3 on the same computer. Then I put in place LabVIEW 8.5.1 on Windows XP system and use Agilent 823578 USB/GPIB Interfaces to communicate with locking SR830 amplifier.

When you use Angilent connection Expert, I could communicate with SR830 by Agilent 823578 USB/GPIB Interfaces. However I couldn't use relative visa in LabVIEW command, such as opening VISA, to connect with SR830.

On the other hand, I use the same program on the DELL Windows PC to communicate with SR830 without any problem.

So I was wondering is it a problem of compatibility of MacBook Pro and Mac OX 10.6 with Driver of instruments?

I will be appreciated if someone could help me to solve my problem. Thanks to you all.

First, you must enable support for Tulip so that MAX recognizes the controller of agilent. In MAX, you select NI-VISA under the software section. Click on the visa, and then under MySystems Options > General settings, select passports. Check the box for NiVisaTulip.dll. If you do a view > refresh, the controller must be included so that you might have to restart. When MAX lists the agilent controller, you should be able to scan for instruments. It's what will update the visaconf.ini file.

I'll sort of memory on it and have only done on windows pc. I don't really know if there are problems with it under a virtual machine on the Mac. There are numerous links on tips related to the use of controllers of agilent with LabVIEW so you can do a search to see if I missed the details.
