  • Acrobat Pro XI via Creative Cloud installs twice on Win 8.1 Desktop

I am running Windows 8.1, 64-bit Pro on a HP Pavilion a6700y PC using Adobe create clouds. When I install Acrobat Pro XI, it installs twice. A version is Adobe Acrobat XI Version 11.0 with a size of 1.8 MB and the other is the Version 11.0.00 with the size of 2.0 MB.

Anyone know why this happens. Nothing seems to differentiate between the two, and if I uninstall one, two uninstall. I did uninstall, clean the registry and tried to reinstall the program, and same two versions of display. I do not get an indication that one is 64-bit and the other 32 bit, so I can not differentiated the.

    Any suggestions?

This is because Acrobat MSI one entry in the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel, then the MSI creative cloud made a separate but similar entry in the Add/Remove Control Panel.  It is documented in a few places, but this is the most convenient to prove it.  It is in the process of uninstalling:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/creative-cloud/Packager/deploying-Acrobat.html

    (Excerpt from the documentation)

    Uninstalling Acrobat Windows

Once you have deployed Acrobat using the package in the case of Exceptions, you can uninstall it by using the usual procedure to uninstall msi packages. There are two MSI packages that are needed for uninstall a standalone package.  For the main MSI package than the packer of creative cloud creates what is for licenses and the second MSI package which is the MSI Pro Acrobat package that in the Exceptions folder.

Here is the syntax of a command line to uninstall Acrobat:

    Syntax example:

    MsiExec.exe /x /qn

Here is the command line syntax to uninstall the Creative cloud Packer license package:

    Syntax example:

    MsiExec.exe / uninstall / quiet

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro. I have created a form and I need to validate the same field to make sure that something has been entered, if nothing, then error message is displayed.

I already have the format and typing Javascript writes:

At the level of the JavaScript document

    var re = / ^ [a-zA-Z \-s]+$/;

Get all of the characters that the user has entered

  • The old PDF edition helps Adobe Acrobat Pro

Once I have download Adobe Acrobat Pro, am I able to edit PDF created in the past, or just the ones I create after the download?

    Hi Mahanna717,

Yes, you should be able to change the old PDF files with the current version of the reader. You can download a trial of DC Acrobat, if you want to try. See Download Adobe Acrobat free trial version | Acrobat Pro DC.

  • Acrobat Pro XI lost licenses

    Hello

We deployed Acrobat Pro XI After customizing the deployment package for a basic machine (Win 7 64-bit), created an image and it deployed multiple computers to various campus computer labs. These deployments took place at the end of August. However, a campus suddenly failed in the mode of trial 4 days ago. Redo setup does nothing to solve the problem. By browsing the license of this warning part invites you to re - enter the license key.

Is there a way to fix it remotely, via a script? Touch each machine to re - enter a serial number is not conducive.

    Thank you!

    Hi scspitt,

Please give activation offline exception to the license via the 11 Adobe Customization Wizard in the created package and re-deploy.

  • Acrobat Pro XI behaving badly, crashing and bad output size distilled files.

System i3 PC 4 months with 16 GB of RAM.

On board graphics graphics card Intel HD 4000 with 3072 MB is assigned the RAM.

Main BOAD has Ivy Bridge Z77 Intel chipset.

This PC has worked flawlessly for 12 hours per day before you install Acrobat Pro XI (via installation cc).

Operating system is Windows 8 Pro.

Until yesterday, my subscription to the CC ran well. I uninstalled Acrobat (version pre CC) and installed the CC version. The first installation will begin and then crash requiring the Windows Task Manager to end the process.

When the online assistance service said it wasn't their problem, wait until tomorrow to try CC support. I deleted the app and install a new copy. I can distill a ps with that file but the dimensions of the PDF will appear are different from the InDesign created the Postscript file. Now InDesign CC will not free start by double-clicking a file... A problem Ive had before with Win 7 Pro.

Now when I open Acrobat, as soon as I click on a menu item, it shows a menu of VGA quality. I can get rid of this and do some minor tasks using the keys alt f4 but it always hangs in the VGA screen when I try to do something with a menu item. It is of severely affecting my work flow. I need these applications to make a living. How is it I can't get support from Adobe?

I guess that's not a common problem, but with the help of a specialist Adobe, the problem was a set of files of Windows used by many applications (for example printer command menus and several configuration menus pop up who use a system font is left aside if you install fresh windows an upgrade of Windows 8 on a hard drive. It is a legal facility. I had Windows 8, 32-bit but necessary for Windows 8, 64-bit, so I bought the upgrade version and credentials to Win 32 to verify the eligability upgrade.

The problem when it is a family of fonts (Segoe) system used in the full version of Win 8 or the OEM version isn't in the version upgrade. This means by it not installed during the upgrade on an upgrade disc clean disc. Any reason, Microsoft has to do this, the nightmare of the problems it caused me took over a week to track it down. I would like to take credit for this solution, but it was a discussion session online Adobe with a helpful technician who really deserves.

All works fine now, thanks to Adobe.

  • Acrobat Pro hangs after 5 seconds

    Hello!

I have not found an answer in the forum. So I hope you can help me.

My new installation of Acrobat Pro - installed via the CC Application Manager - hangs after 5 or more seconds open Adobe Application Manager for 2 seconds. No difference when just openeing the application or any pdf file. There is no error message.

Before the installation, I used a CS5.5 Design Premium trial for a few days. I uninstalled before installing the CS6 (cloud Creative). Before that, I had CS Design Standard 5.5 running without any problem for about 8 months.

    All other Applications work correctly.

I use Adobe CS6 on a Mac under Lion with the latest updates (10.7.4). There is (not yet) any special fonts.

IST has something to do with an update to Acrobat problems?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Timo

It can, but it is always difficult to ensure with the information currently available.  To give you the best opportunity for a successful installation, I recommend the following:

    1. Delete all Adobe Creative Software using the uninstaller programs located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers
    2. Run the tool cleaner of CS - CS cleanup for installation problems tool | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
    3. Restart in a Root user in safe secure account - let me know if you need more information for this and I can locate some Apple Web site links
    4. Reinstall Adobe Acrobat

Some of these steps may certainly not be needed as the user root and boot.  But fill these steps will give you the highest probability of successful your installation.

  • I use Adobe Acrobat Pro and when I click on save as PDF... PDF reader enable adding text in the Documents does not appear. Why?

Can you please tell me why?

With my Adobe Acrobat Pro, when I click on save as PDF... PDF reader enable adding text in the Documents does not appear.

Adobe change Acrobat a lot between releases. Make sure you follow instructions to the same version you have.

If this looks OK, let us know the exact version you have (help > about Acrobat Pro).

  • Acrobat Pro DC - cannot use tools; wrong, says "subscription expired;" wants "serial number", but there is none

I bought a subscription for Acrobat Pro DC. The payments are current and the plan is active.  When I try to edit a pdf file, I get an error message saying "your subscription has expired."  I hit the button in the Middle, 'enable '. Now he wants my "serial number".  It is a download software, so there is no box of product.  I log into my account, access plans and products, but nowhere it lists a serial number for the program.  I'm going to help in Acrobat Pro ms and choose 'On Acrobat Pro DC', but it does not list a serial number.  I watch the Bills for my monthly payments, but they do not enter a serial number.   I tried the Chat support, but "Nicky" gave me advice of gibberish and then disconnected me after 19 seconds of chat.  I tried phone support, but the polite man whose Indian accent is almost too thick to understand told me that he couldn't help me, when it became clear that it could not take on my machine remotely, due to the security settings of my company.

Also, I can connect to my Adobe account in a browser (IE or Chrome), but when I select the "Sign In" button at the top right of the window Acrobat Pro DC, it connects, and so I can not sign the program.

Check your subscription payment has been processed and your adobe id is correct, https://www.adobe.com/account.html

log out and then back to your office to cc using the same adobe id allowing you to check your subscription is current, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/sign-in-out-activate-apps.html

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro XI - print to PDF-broken

Hello. I have recently noticed a problem with the printer driver PDF Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. Print all PDF functions seem to be broken.

    Web browser applications:

Firefox (my main web browser), the print driver invites you to me which file I want to save the PDF and then the status bar for the printing/conversion process will reach 50% and display the title of the error message dialog box: error in the printer. Dialog box Message: an error occurred during printing.

In Chrome, the print job to tempt me to a file name and after I click on 'Print', nothing would happen. No error message. No PDF file is created.

In Microsoft Edge, the same result as directed by Chrome. No error message. No PDF file is created.

    In Adobe Acrobat Reader DC:

Print results Adobe PDF printer in two error dialog boxes, "the document could not be printed" followed by "it has not chosen to print pages". This is despite the fact that 'All' has been selected as an option in "Pages to print" in the print dialog box.

    In the Office Applications:

Same results according to the Chrome and Microsoft test Edge. No error message. No PDF file is created.

    In other applications:

Thunderbird translated "an error occurred when printing"

Notepad translated "the handle is invalid."

The last time I could print to PDF with success was before Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Windows 10 upgrade (from Windows 7 Ultimate).

I tried a "repair Acrobat Installation" under the drop-down help Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and despite an attempt to repair under the administrator account, it has not solved the problem.

I do not experience these symptoms on my 3 Surface Pro, which is also running Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Windows 10 (upgrade of Windows 8.1).

Is anyone else facing similar issues on Windows 10? I noticed another thread on a broken print in PDF format, but that one seems to be content to users of Windows 7.

Any idea or advice would be much appreciated.

I had the same problem. Using Procmon and found that install Acrobat was written to the registry entry to distill 11 but distill has been reading the registry entry for Distiller 10. Basically, I used regedit, exported HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\11.0, opens the file in Notepad, changed all 11 in the tens, then imported. Worked perfect after that.

  • Impossible to buy Acrobat Pro on business account

I can't believe how overly complicated Adobe have done for businesses to buy acrobat as an individual application!

    So here's our scenario:

I want to put in place a team of business account (monthly) which consists of:

    3 x full CC

    2 x Photoshop

    2 acrobat x pro

    Sounds simple right? EVIL!

If I do the above, I have two incredibly stupid options! :

Option 1 is to have complete team paid the outset (including Acrobat DC Pro licenses) on an e-mail address. Don't pay upfront no chance! where the flexibility in one!

Option 2 is to have one team, paid monthly on an e-mail address (team for two Photoshop CC licenses) and the other team paid full upfront (2 x DC Acrobat) + 3 x CC on a second e-mail address. More complicated! I have to be able to handle all applications and Central users do not separate scattered across accounts!

I spent all morning trying to get clear answers and simple configuration, but adobe doesn't seem to help businesses, Acrobat Pro is such low spec program but because of major problems!

    Hi Nathalie,.

You must subscribe to the single application Adobe CC teams account for each application.

If the team admin e-mail can be kept as identical.

Licenses for each app will be available in your administration console to assign to the user ID.

Licensing Pro Acrobat must be purchased from a dealer (find an Adobe reseller)

Moreover, I advise you to join Adobe sales to place your order.

    Kind regards

    Sheena

    Hello fellows,

I'm deploying a bundled program msi via gpo. by default, msi is run with the system account on the client computers. but the program must be installed with a local administrator domain/admin account in order to work properly. I didn't find a way to assign this account to msi via gpo. can anyone share some experiences? In my view, that it is an unusual scenario.

  • How to set the custom changes in sets of customized tools when installing deployed on Adobe Acrobat Pro XI?

I am trying to set settings in the custom tool sets, specifically properties Protection\Redaction - example: enabling change highlight color and text overlay.  Is it possible to change the settings for a deployment?  I am unable to find a way through the Customization Wizard and finds it difficult to find documentation on the deployment of the custom settings for the toolsets.

    Question:

Customization of the tool sets as part of the deployment of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI

    Environment:

For deployment, I use the Adobe Customization Wizard and SCCM 2012 to distribute and install Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.

Environment has Windows 7 and Windows 8.1

    Adobe Acrobat Pro XI

    Thank you

    Mike

Those who would be the HKCU settings that you "should" be able to implement via the function Panel for the registry of the Adobe XI of the Customization Wizard.

    Look here:

    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\11.0\Annots\cAnnots\cRedact\coutlineColor

There are names with the prefix "d" alpha as in d1, d2 and d3 with assigned numerical values

    and

    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\11.0\Annots\cAnnots\cRedact\cannotFillColor

There are names with the prefix "d" alpha as in d1, d2 and d3 with assigned numerical values
