Hewlett Packertt all-in-one 19: Recovery Windows 10 re - install software

I need Windows recovery software for my (HP all-in-one 19) my old work files are everywhere in my PC and administrative privileges to keep prevents me to exploit my home PC! I adjusted the permissions but it is somehow related to my former employer via a mini port or somehow I do not know.  I use Wifi but my PC won't finish Journal.jnt (read-only) Note! Pop - up says that the Windows PowerShell folder is deleted or that I don't have permission... Ugh! It's frustrating to not be able to close this Note of the log dam! How can I install Windows on my PC without buying the software CD? any advice would be great!

Hello elynch4976 ;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about your multiple problems with the all-in-one and wanted to help.

After your comments, looks like your PC has been, or still IS, a part of a commercial domain.  When I was working from home using my HP laptop, it was joined to a domain automatically as part of the connection.  It was configured this way by people from TI to the work.  Once the PC has joined the domain, I lost all the rights of administrator and owner of everything, except in special circumstances, I created files.  It looks like what happens to you.

One solution, if that IS the case, is to have the computer work reconfigures your PC so that it is more so part of their domain.

Another approach is to what you suggest - do a factory reset from the PC using something known as HP recovery media.

It is a DVD and CD set that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update".  If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

Note that if HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

Don't forget to read through the material in the linked thread before attempting the recovery: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00707939

Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • HP Envy all in one PC: Recovery Manager, the system restore is disabled by a virus

Had a virus on my all in one PC envy after a free update to windows 10. Computer has been closing down could not get antivirus to work fast enough. After reboot system had disappeared. There is now no operating system. HP Envy Recovery manager, System Recovery is not highlighted, do not not the possibility to do a restore? Virus stronger than I've ever met. Thank you in advance.

    NIP

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

It would NOT in fact the virus which prevents HP Recovery Manager to work.

While Microsoft says there is no risk in the upgrade of Win10, because they allow you to believe that you can always return to your BONES and the original installation program within 30 days, the ugly fact of the matter is that the Win10 GoBack feature turned out to be unreliable - and when she fails, she can let machines in a State corrupted - that does not always happen , but it happens often enough to be a problem and you will get no warning beforehand that he goes to the trash your PC!

If this is not enough, the Win10 upgrade is known, in some cases, corrupt partition recovery stored by the OEM that built the original machine. It's pretty much guarantee that no HP recovery will work: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-Recovery-Manager-Blocked-After-Windows-10-Upgrade/td-p/5170752

What you would really need to do, is to erase the entire disk and restore your PC using something known as HP recovery media.

HP recovery media is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs. You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entry and click on order to press for more details.

  • HP 2210 printer all-in-one: after updating WIndows 10, I can print but not scan with my HP 2210 all in one

I've updated to Windows 10 and since then I can print but not scan with my HP 2210 all-in-one printer.  I tried to download the software updates, but nothing seems to work.  Any suggestions

    Hi @Sajapand @ddegan

I see that you both scan problems after upgrade to Windows 10, and I may be able to help.

Most of the products have updated software available on the HP support Web site for Windows 10.

I also saw a few posts that say Windows 8.1 driver works for Windows 10 as well, then you could try also.

HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan doctor to diagnose and troubleshoot printing and scanning problems. I recommend you to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor , if she doesn't fix it automatically I would know what errors or messages that you receive.

Do you know if you are able to scan using paint?

To perform a scan of the painting: HP Multifunction printers - how Scan: Windows 8

(This is the same for Windows 10, of what I said)

    1. Click the Start button () in the lower left corner of the screen, click on Searchand type Paint.
    2. Click on the painting in the results.
    3. Click fileand then click on from a scanner or camera.
    4. Select your printer, click OK, and then click Scan.

Please let me know if any of these steps has resolved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

  • OfficeJet 7210: HP Officejet 7210 all-in-one works in Windows 10

Anyone have any suggestions for my situation?

I have a HP Officejet 7210 all-in-one I've had for a while. (It works fine all this time).

My last computer was (that is, starting to act a little "ginchey"), it was time for an upgrade... So I went to one 64-bit Dell to another.

The 7210 worked well on my last Dell, but I can't not all software (scanning, printing, fax, etc.) to properly install from CD (obviously older version of the operating system). HP website for updates of pilot is kind of useless (they appear to have abandoned this machine, no longer support).

Here's the rub: old pc was running Windows 10, new machine runs Windows 10.

    Any suggestions people out there?

Frankly, if I'm just a victim of HP 'ripping off' supported by an operational device otherwise, I think go "elsewhere" for my next printer if I have to upgrade.

Kind of sad, I used to be a big fan of HP over many years, but their current support, products, etc. are leading me to look elsewhere these days.

Thank you for everything, for support, ideas, suggestions, etc.

  • all-in-one photosmart B110a: windows 10 and b110a

I had my B110 series all in one printer works fine for over a year, then I updated to Windows 10 and he stopped scanning. So I tried to remove and reinstall all the HP programs, tried to hook up with cable (as well as wireless), tried Hp trouble shooters and doctors and no matter what I do, the printer setup will crash towards the end of the process and say "fatal error" and "MSI.netdevicemanager40". Someone please help.

    Hello @Jenecessary,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you have recently upgraded to Windows 10 operating system and you stumbled upon a matter of scanning with your HP Photosmart B110a. You have uninstalled the software, now, when you try to reinstall the printer, you get a MSI error message.

Please, try disabling your firewall and running the installation to see if it allows you to install, if this does not work try a clean boot and re run the HP printer install wizard for Windows , it was created to help Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and 10 users to download and install the latest and most appropriate HP software solution for their HP printer.

If you still run into installation errors, continue here: a "Fatal Error" (error MSI) is displayed on the computer while installing the HP Windows software

Please let me know the results, I'll watch for your reply.

    Thank you
