  It may be the shadow, bevel or glow effect applied. You can uncheck the box and it should be good.

  First, disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer, and then try to start and check what is happening. If the same happens, then you can try to start in safe mode and check if you are able to boot to the desktop. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started.   Specific advice Apple seem to be uninstall QuickTime, it should no longer be necessary and has a few potential security vulnerabilities. See Uninstall QuickTime 7 for Windows - Apple Support.
