High disk use and high memory usage

It seems that my friend helped clean up my laptop I will still have a lot of problems. First my laptop becomes the high memory use. What? The system apparently when I look at the Task Manager. Here's what it looks like:

I don't know how to solve this problem. Keep looking it towards the top online and I haven't found anything that helps. I'm not a tech somehow so when you say something like "have you checked your drivers? I will say that I have no idea how to do that.  As you can see the the Service Host: Local System has a lot of memory for some reason use any. And the system takes a lot of space for some strange reason.  He is also windows modules Installer. I can't update my laptop Windows 8 for Windows 8.1

Another problem is that I can't get my cell trusts. I go on Internet explore and copy and paste the link that appears on the screen in another tab on him and he always says the same thing 'Open in Internet Explorer' and it still doesn't work!

I should also mention that my friend had to do a system restore to clean all the problems I had before. Who has worked for the most part. Since my laptop was running slower and he's still but a little better.

Any help would be great.

In order to diagnose your problem, we need run Windows performance toolkit, the instructions that are in this wiki

  • Windows Vista - update causing high memory usage

I got the pages of updates over the past two years. I think the volume of updates had a negative impact on the use of memory and the computer takes an extremely long time to boot and load anything. There is no Add - ons, with the exception of a printer.

  • High memory usage. Is this normal?

    Hello world.. !!

I have a question about ram memory

I am running windows 7 64 bit with 8 GB of memory ram

as we speak now I read my Windows Task Manager performance

    8189 total

    6464 cached

    6706 available

    289 free

    40 process

    Use 0% CPU

    Physical memory 18%

    its normal?

Free, should be higher than 289?

    Thanks for the replies

    Original title: Ram memory

Danny, if Windows needs to RAM for a new task, it redistributes it immediately...

Looking at your numbers... Physical memory 18%... It comes to the amount of RAM allocated to the running process. As you can see, less than 20% of RAM actually do things not exactly stretch your RAM...

The only reason you have 289 MB of free space is because you have not enough running even for Windows in order to be cached... :-)

The IOS version installed is 150-2.SE2 (c2960s-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE2.bin), could not find out if this is a BUG

Avoid using 15.0 (2) SE2 at all costs.  There are so many bugs of CPU and memory, it is a well known joke.  Hey, you should try 15.0 (2) SE3, if you can still find this IOS, and then you'll laugh all the way to the Loonie bin.

    Use either 12.2 (55) SE8 or 15.0 (2) SE4.

  • High memory usage of the Windows Explorer (explorer.exe)

I recently discovered that explorer.exe (windows Explorer) takes about 50% of my CPU (i.e. 1 full core on 2) use. Kill the process and it works again, solved the problem. Use the microsoft task explorer (by systeminternals), it's explorer.exe itself using the cpu. I have Vista SP1 with all the latest patches with IE8.

I solved the problem by disabling explorer.exe in my prefetch folder

  • Second disk modules and hard memory for Dell Inspiron 580

We have a Dell Inspiron 580, which we try to use once more (been using a Tablet).  I would like to know if the following can be used for this computer - especially the memory modules since we receive messages to have "insufficient memory".  I can't remember where we got these parts (believe memory modules came from Dell).

Hard drive: Western Electric WD400 [WD P/N: WD400BB-32CLB0]

Memory modules: SNPJ0202C/512 - I have four of these modules

These items (above) can be used with the Dell Inspiron 580?

    SilkPony

None of the parties you posted are compatible with the Inspiron 580

The hard drive is IDE/EIDE, which is not supported by the 580. The 580 only supports SATA drives.

The memory is DDR which is not supported by the 580, which supports only DDR3 memory.

  • The SQL Developer memory usage is very high + session monitor work not

    Hello
I'm facing 2 problems with SQL developer tool.

    (1) high memory usage (about 160 MB).
    (2) when I click on tools-> monitor sessions, session related window opens upward.

I use 1.5.4 version. Please let me know if there are fixes for these issues.

    Thanks

    Hello

    (1) not much help for you, but for me, 160 MB is not excessive use of memory for SQL Developer (mine is currently sitting at around 150 MB). And then, I have been using the tool for a while and have a lot of memory on my computer.
    (2) tools > Sessions of the monitor works fine for me (DB 10.2.0.3). Do you get an error message when it "does not open upward? Which version of DB are you using? If you go through the browser reports (see > reports if it is not already displayed) and select Data Dictionary reports > Database Administration > Sessions > Sessions, does it report?

  • C2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE2.tar high memory consumption

    Hi all

I would strongly appreciate that someone could explain to me why my Clients-LAN Switches (c2960) during the upgrade to new IOS namely

    rump C2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE1 and c2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE2 upward memory consumption to somewhere between 80% and 90%.

Is there a "bug" always with these IOS versions that could have caused this? I've never had this problem with the old version (c2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE) of IOS. I've read through the Cisco Documents on these releases but wasn't too sure if new arrivals on these IOSs caused this high memory usage.

Shown is an example of one of many c2960-switches using these IOSs. In the meantime, I intend to downgrade to c2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE.

    Looking forward to your answers.

    Kind regards

    James

  • Svchost.exe several process taking high CPU usage

    * Original title: svchost.exe bleeding memory of multiple processes

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1 on decent office equipment.  Intel i7 - 2600 k, 16 GB of memory Corsair, 2 TB HD.  Recently, I noticed that sometimes the Web pages would much to slow while my 5.0 GHz network turned to 15.0 Mbs.  Also online MechWarrior gave me games much more than before lag to the point where I wouldn't be able to play.  This began about five to seven days from 29/09/14 and was regularly do worse.

So I took a look at my resource monitor and the Task Manager and discovered fifteen process svchost.exe running and a svchost.exe * 32 running.  They were dispersed users (System, Local Service, Network Service), and we were shooting at 150 000 + K.  Sometimes there would be two consuming the same amount of memory, but I have yet to see more on the list do so.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I take care of my computer.  My network is password protected, I ran a complete virus scan of the system that was detected (and if it is dangerous, I'm not at all more risky than Facebook sites on my PC.  I am saying that it is highly unlikely that I have no virus.)  I also checked the forums for others who have had the same problem and there were few.

The only change I made is my network hardware, upgrade my modem and router/switch.  My router is a dual band and my computer is the only one on the frequency 5.0 but check on my computers to families that run on the 2.4, they have what seems like unusually high memory usage svchost.exe as well.  I went back two restore points, but that made no difference.

Syschk control function run as administrator has not resolved the issue as well.  So what else am I missing?

In order to diagnose your problem, we need run Windows performance toolkit, the instructions that are in this wiki

  • Memory usage

We have a few GSM7228 and 5300 network (successful) on LAN switches. All switches has 90% or more of average use memory permanently.

The network works fine, but we are curious to know the high memory usage. Average CPU usage is less than 10%, response time is great & packet loss is 0%.

Any idea what could cause high memory usage? Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. The version of the installed firmware is 10.0.0.53.
