  Got a new video card.  Cost not as so much that I would imagine in a local computer store.

  Got to make changes to the settings.

  Now I don't know even if I know how to find the old drivers.

• All sounds broken on Vista 32 bit after update Flash

  I am a technician working remotely on a 32-bit computer to Vista with SoundBlaster X - Fi Audio extreme. Flash player updated automatically throughout the night in version 11.3.300.271. No sound does this morning, including Windows Media Player, IE, Chrome, etc.

  We used Flash uninstaller and then tried to play a sound on Windows Media player. Still no sound.

  We have reinstalled the latest version of Flash Player. It installs without problem, but it still does not work.

  We checked the event viewer. There are no related events. We checked the Device Manager. There is no missing drivers. We checked the volume controls, they are all very well, the value of the correct audio output and speakers, volume to their max now, levels etc.

  Any ideas?

  It turns out, somehow, I thought it would be, as it was a user error. Their speakers were disconnected.

  I asked the user if they tried to headphones and they said yes. I suspect that they plugged the headphones on the speakers that is not helping solve the problem.

• Runninng Vista 32-Bit Windows Update - white screen updated

  When I run the windows update program, the window appears without all elements inside. Just a progress bar continues to show action but nothing happens also after a long wait.

  I don't have a 3rd party anti-virus installed, just Security essentials. Software not Microsoft includes Chrome.

If an attempt is made to run Windows update, it displays the message that it cannot work because the windows update service is not running and the computer must be restarted.  Reboot has not fixed the problem.  Checking in MSCONFIG shows that the windows update service is running.  Tried the ap fix - it without success.   You can go to start-> type services.msc-> press on enter. In windows, go to Windows Update. Double click on it. Make sure it is running and the startup type is set to automatic. Make sure that the following services are also running:

  Remote procedure call (RPC)

  DCOM Server process Launcher

  RPC end point mapper

  Make sure the service above are running and that their startup type is set to automatic.

  Now, reboot your PC and then try again.

  If Windows Update still fails, try this:

  Click Start-> type-> right click cmd.exe and click Run as administrator.

  Then, run the following commands:

  CD %windir%\System32

  net stop wuauserv

  Ren c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old

  net start wuauserv

  Response if the issue is not resolved.

  I've seen a few different positions on issues of iTunes, but none that match mine, so that's.  I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit on an HP Pavilion dv4 laptop and trying to install iTunes 8.2.16 (latest version) because I sync it with my iPhone (1st generation, if that matters).

  After erasing completely my computer of all previous installations of iTunes by other threads including uninstalling Quicktime and any program having to do with the configuration/program Panel Apple, empty the recycling bin, restart, remove all the programs apple program (x 86) and all through my computer, restart, pure install iTunes latest version (tried this using Firefox and IE).  When I run iTunes, I have several questions:
  1. I get a message saying that "the registry settings used by the iTunes for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing.  This can occur as a result of installing other CD burning software.  Please reinstall iTunes. "I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, a few times.  If I close the window or click on 'ok', iTunes opens, but then there are more questions.
  2 a point iTunes worked my recorder/CD Player no longer works and I had to get a new one from the manufacturer.

I can not download the latest version of the software for my iPhone.  When trying to download or download and install, I get the message, "there was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone"IPhone of Heather".  The network connection timed out.   HI - in case anyone else has this problem, I found the solution... it wasn't a problem with iTunes.  Instead, it was a Vista incompatibility problem and protection against viruses.  If you are on Vista 64-bit, a updated driver GEAR Software Inc. for Windows 64-bit (http://www.gearsoftware.com/support/drivers.php) when downloaded and installed fixed the following points:

  1.
