  • Is my mother getting ripped off, she was contacted by a representative of windows phone 8, who said she has many mistakes and they consulted mote fix him.

A rep is currently approximately for 2 hours now.  She called to tell me, and it seems too hokey to me.  A representative contact you?  I think she's getting ripped off?

Your question is not clear, but if you want to say, "Someone called my mom pretending to be technical support, logged on to his computer and has been associated with for two hours now" then the answer is Yes, she is in imminent danger of having his computer corrupted, damaged or stolen from him information.  Read here:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

You should have your mother back up all the files (photos, movies, music, etc.) that it cannot afford to lose and immediately clean up his computer and restores in factory new condition.  Check the manuals of your computer or the web support site for more details.

Finally, it must communicate with banks, investment firms, etc. and inform them of what has past.  They will advise what needs to be done to protect its banking assets or accounts online might be hacked by these people.

  • Ripped off VGA connector

Hello everyone. my brother is in a wheelchair, and fell accidentally into his computer, get out of the Chair, where the plug connector VGA in the tower being torn off (in fact, in, he was rattling in the case when I went down to check it out). the computer is a HP Pavilion Slimline series s5000 model n s5703w, I think that Win 7 Home Premium 32-bit (I can't connect it to monitor to check). from what I see, the video card is integrated into the motherboard, if that makes sense (M2N68 - THE Narra6). is the only way to solve this problem is to buy and install a new motherboard? I hate wasting the computer, it is practically new, never been online, it was only used to play some card games on it. Thank you.

    Hello

A new motherboard and time to replace it would be more expensive then buy an external video (PCIe) card. A low-end PCIe card should be ok because you will have more power to operate. Please visit the following link:

  • Photon: Car dock: routing of calls through car speakers turns off the phone mic?

The title says it all, but I'll explain it. I bought the car dock and most of the time it looks cool, but there is a weird problem. I have the phone in the dock, and I have the audio cable from the charger to the auxiliary audio port of my car. When I try to make a call, the default speaker phone. In a noisy car environment, it is difficult to hear the other person of property. While the appeal goes, there is a "speaker" down button right on the phone that I can press on, which causes the audio to be routed via the speakers of the car being music, which is excellent. However, doing so causes both the person on the other line to be able to hear me, that makes no sense and is frankly very frustrating.

I saw a couple of discussions on the issues, then I know that I'm not the only person to have had this experience, but I was not able to find a solution yet. Someone know if there is a solution, or if at least that there is a questions recognized by Motorola that could be fixed in the future? I guess it's a software issue any.

  • Functional global variable home (RFGV) is cut off by the controls on the front panel

    Hello

I though that I had found the ultimate way to dynamically manage memory in a system of Exchange. I read on RFGV here: http://labviewwiki.org/Functional_global_variable and put together a static FGV normal to follow the references for each created instance of memory which I then could easily remember just by name. But now I found that all the RFGV completely stops whenever a front panel with a menu control is used, i.e. 'enum', 'ring' or 'control path. I tried to put in different delivery systems, but not luck. I read about that guy who could have fallen into the same problem: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Do-I-need-to-use-a-semaphore-when-reading-writing-a-functional/m-p/1... but he got no help what I could see.

I have not tried semaphores. Don't know what that is. Check my little test code and tell me what I am doing wrong. Or maybe there is no solution in this case I have to abandon the idea of the use of RFGV for anything. Maybe memory held all the VI will be assigned statically.

Run the code (in LV2009) and watch the 6 LEDS Flash. Then click on anyone of 'enum', 'ring' or 'path' (the file dialog box) and watch off LED when dynamic memory is used to write or read while the continoues to static VI.

    Any suggestions?

    Best regards

    Kai

If the memories are good, what you're running against is not the user interface thread, but an internal mechanism of LV called the loop of the root, which must run in some things. Specifically, in your case, the method run a VI and showing a menu (a menu real, or a context menu of a ring).

You can work around this problem (and greatly simplify your code) If you use the call node of the reference instead of the method to execute a VI, but I wouldn't recommend it anyway, since I assume that your code is not what you think it does. In LV memory management can be quite complex if you want to be able to control it, so if you feel you really need, I suggest to start by searching for existing materials on the management of memory in LV

  • Vista Performance, memory resources needs, difference between Vista Home Basic family and Vista Premium.

My computer is an Acer Aspire with an E2140 1.60ghz processor, including a 200 GB hard drive and 1 GB of ram. I am running Windows Vista Premium Edition family. However, my computer seems to work slowly and very inefficient. I did everything I can to restore its performance. My question is, quite simply. If Vista Basic reguires only 512 MB of ram and vista premium Edition requires 1 GB. My pc would have better performance using vista Basic instead of Vista premium edition? Because how basic requires less ram? Or replacement with basic premium would cause my cpu to work hard?

There is no difference in speed between the edition of Vista. You can try to disable the Aero glass theme if your graphics card is too slow. Now, the CPU is more used to render the UI rather than the GPU. How much is your RAM used?  Look in Taskmanager on the used/cache/RAM values of the free.

To improve the speed, you should switch to 2 GB of RAM.

  • Am I just ripped off by a fake Microsoft? Help, please.

I recently had to re - install Windows 7 due to the addition of a new card mother and CPU to my PC.

After a few days, I had the small popping window saying that the key I have provided could not be saved.

I called the number provided (1800 642 008) and after two attempts I was told that I had recorded this copy more times than allowed by the license.

That much is probably true, because despite them only ever use this copy on the machine - I'd been impossible to uninstall older versions before reinstalling... maybe 3 times I re-installed this copy?

I was transferred to a service of technical support somewhere in Malaysia judging by the focus of the representative.

The officer then used LogMeIn to control my computer. I was a little worried at this point. From what I could see it mainly applied some windows updates, then managed to enter the confirmation key and activate Windows.

I then asked to restart the computer and was a bit surprised to find LogMeIn still running when it restarted.

He checked that everything was good (and it was) and then closed the connection. He took my name and last name and made me type my e-mail address in the LogMeIn chat window.

But then, to arouse my suspicion still more, he offered that I could pay for two additional levels of support premium - something like $80 and $120. It was apparently because the version of Windows, I'm operating was purchased in 2010, and by default support was expired... makes sense, but it doesn't look good that Microsoft would ask me for more money... I politely declined saying that the only issue I had was with activation. He is okay with that.

He said that there are some updates that were not installed, and which prevented my Windows 7 to activate properly.

The guy was very friendly and in no case for he Act Unprofessionally, but I've never had anyone remotely to my computer just for activation... so I'm a little paranoid... is this legitimate? I am too suspicious?

He then followed up with a survey by email that I could answer to (Thunderbird notifies me that email can be a scam)... of course, I flew over the links in the e-mail and found that they would not directly to Microsoft, but were prefixed with another location, such as:

    https://mail.agent.CVGS.NET/OWA/redir.aspx?C=_Qzb4BhS50i1KUR1h7K63Z4kIy96m9EIfuSeiy7hY-zI7bNlHEsg3wwnUgZqUUhIfZ7l2005Y1U.&URL=http%3A%2f%2fanswers.Microsoft.com

    What do you think guys?

The dialed number is MS Activation Center for Australia - so you should be OK :)

LogMein is installed so it persists after a reboot - they should have uninstalled it when they have finished the work.

If this isn't the case, then check your list of installed programs - if she is not there, see if you can find the entry in MSConfig and follow from there. (Probably in the folder C:\Program LogMeIn)
