Horrible support.

Went to place an order for a laptop very expensive.  Command does not (page says basically impossible to process the order).  So I tried again and it went through.  Awesome.   Discovered an hour later that I have now TWO orders.

Support by email immediately to request cancellation.  No response.  WAITED 24 hours and called order for support and (repeatedly) told me that they can't cancel my order.  Now, up to this point I would have gladly bought a laptop... but not two.  Cannot do.  I am told that they are unable to cancel it.  I ask who CAN cancel it.  I am told that no one can cancel it.  Actually, nevermind.

Fortunately, I use Amex and they were more than happy to help refute THE accusations, and I'm now refusing shipment on TWO laptops and ordering a new Lenovo instead.

I've been a customer of Dell for a long time, both personally when you place your order of servers, PC, etc. as a CTO.  Needless to say that this experience has been if bad I ever order from Dell once again, for my family or for work.

Refusal of delivery are your best option.  Dell will tell you that it is not the best way for you to manage this situation and this will delay a refund of your purchase, but since you've been clever enough to use a credit card my experience is that their claim is simply not true.  And accept delivery opens the door for them to charge you a restocking fee as the Unit became considered a return rather than non-delivered.

I recently had a colossal failure with a Dell PowerEdge $16 000 Server command.
Successfully entered orders online, the College received the two recognize e-mail, then the acceptance of the order (aka they were able to charge the credit card) and was given an estimated delivery date.  Then the fun begins... order delayed once, twice, then three times.  Whenever the call of service to the customer and said to wait, but none of the items are out of stock, a problem with the "logistics" (whatever that means, the person who said he didn't know definitely what that means).  To post in the forum and a seemingly friendly moderator offered to look into it, but never did.  On the writing of Mr Dell'Alba (not sure that I can post his email here so send me a private email is wanted) who produced a call from a person 'climbing team' which, despite an absurd calls and e-mail amount could never tell me the reason for this delay except that he was a "problem of configuration.  Without explaining the reason why he wanted to somehow reorganize me, for what, I can lose more time to get this prescription fail too? No concern is worried why their system accepted an order that they couldn't build.  I think that this was not something that they never considered as they have clearly no procedure in place on how to communicate a failure like that to a customer.  Not a call or an email from production, not a customer service person (or supervisor) that could figure out, not a Moderator Forum, not a member of the team of Mr Dell'Alba climbing community.  A total failure.   And this isn't a desktop computer or laptop, but a server, the more profitable Dell division as far as I know.

Guess who I'm going to order some instead?  No Dell!

    Well, the graphics could be horrible because the game is so old.  But you can visit the site Web of EA (by clicking here ) and see if they have patches for the program, you can run that can help.

    In addition, you can click with the right button on the launcher and try to "Run as Administrator" or if it does not work for you.  Try right click on the Launcher, click Properties, click the Compatibility tab and then choose to run it in compatibility for Windows XP SP2 and see if that helps.  A combination of which will probably help you.

    I bought the upgrade to premium production CS6 and tried downloading several times, whenever it has expired after about 25%. I finally got an error saying

    However when I eamailed digitalriver, I received a very abrupt email telling me to contact Adobe. If digitalriver's handeling downloads, why do have such horrible service? I wrote them back specifically to ask why their system was told to contact digitalriver their agent then orders me to Adobe, but they have not answered the question. This is in reference to order number 18862889424.

  • HP Envy 6 t 1000 - Intel Rapid technology fails to speed up drive.

    I did a clean install of Windows 8 on a HP Envy 6 t CTO 1000.  I followed the instructions online to the 'letter '.  However, when I go to accelerate my primary hd with technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology I continually get a failure to speed up the drive.  The mSata drive appears fine in the TSRI program but, regardless of what version of the program/driver I try I failures continue to accelerate the disk Windows 8 OS actuay.

    Currently I have Intel Rapid Storage Technology worm technology. installed 11.6.0.1030.  And Yes, I tried (even if it was difficult to find) the version that has been specified in the PDF file.  No work.

    In addition, the list of the drivers for my laptop, installed with Windows 8, is pathetic.  In the PDF document, it says how to get all the drivers for Windows 8 after installation.  Well, that's very good and fantastic when there are real drivers to download and install.  There is almost nothing on Windows 8 drivers for my laptop.  Currently, I don't have audio Beats works, because there is no driver.  Coolsence does not work, because there is no driver, I have not installed any kind of chipset drivers (which are usually quite important) or the other.

    This notebook is not so old (purchased 10/09/12 with Windows 7 Pro).  Horrible support for Windows 8 drivers for this laptop.  Is there any ETA actually get some drivers?

    I really want to get the Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology to function as definitively, I noticed a drop in performance as compareed to when I had installed Windows 7 the technology was working.

    Any help on that would be great.  I have not really found any kind of definitive answer or fix it with all my websearching...

    Not sure how to close this, but I managed to solve this problem, no thanks to HP.  I was able to find a person on the forums of Intel who had the same problem.  Apparently this happens by installing only Windows 8 with a sustained UEFI bios.  3 partitions will be created with this type of installation.  What I discovered by reading thru intels forums, is that if you reduce the c: drive, then reboot, you are able to the acceleration of the main hard drive successfully.   The posters think it's that something happens on the MBR when you make this change.  Don't know what, but it fixed my problem.  Its been frustrating me for a while.

    Everything works great now and I noticed definetley a speed/response increase with my laptop.

    What to do:

    1 resize your c:\ drive.  (Does not need to be much more, I took 20 MB)

    2. restart your PC

    3 try to accelerate your main OS drive

    4 viola!

    so happy now.

  • Horizontal flickering ghostly on external monitor?

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6654us notebook PC, which has an Intel GM965 chipset with integrated graphics X 3100.  Connection to an external monitor gives a horizontal flicker.  It's barely noticeable on white, but very noticeable everywhere else.  It also seems to degrade the color of my images.  I checked the VGA port on the side of my laptop, and it is clear and without any obstruction.

    I am currently using Windows 7 Ultimate, but this same question occurred on each operating system that I have used this monitor on this laptop, including several distributions of Linux and Windows Vista.  I currently have the latest version of the BIOS, however, it has occurred in each version, I've tried.  All operating systems are the latest available Intel video drivers.

    The monitor is an Acer X223W.    This monitor is not the issue, as I have the mid-tier business computer laptop Dell with a GM945 from Intel that does not cause this problem at all.  On my HP, the problem occurs on the external monitor at all resolutions.  Changing the mode on my Intel video has also no effect, this problem occurred as well in extended mode and when it shows only on the external monitor.  It does not, however, affect the LCD screen of my laptop or any non - LCD external monitors such as projectors.

    I want to check on what think about this on the forums before involved me in the - what you must admit - horrible support HP offer process.

    I suspect that you have a ground loop problem. Ive seen on many laptops over the years and not isolated to just HP. Your monitor probably has one to three pins taken and then motive. Your portable computers adapter likely has a PIN of three institutions and began to land. But your laptop computer likely (as you can see on the cable that goes from the adapter to the laptop) did NOT have a motive. You end up with a ground loop in the monitor and therefore noise.

    The only solution I have found is I took a spare power cable and removed the PIN to the ground for the monitor. You can simply use an adaptor which only has 2 pins but accepts three. The later version Id suggest trying. Worst case your outputs 50 cents.

    Now, keep in mind that the ground is there to protect you in force. ID never suggest to do this but I can almost garauntee it is your problem. I guess that the engineers did not design laptops with the ground because they are such low voltage. Nevertheless, it is a bad idea and in my humble OPINION evil genius. They should have a reason for scenerios just like that.

    I'd like to note this is not the fault of monitors. Ive seen with dozens of lcd and crt monitors. Its the fact that the laptop has no grounds.

  • Mapping. Extension CHTML for Coldfusion in IIS6 / CF9

    I will not go into the details of my experience of support trying to solve this problem with the Adobe Tech Support Customer Service.  Suffice it to say, the Service of Support Adobe/is horrible.  It's absolutely mind-boggling to me that a company can provide this horrible support.

    Here's my question...

    I need to map the. CHTML file extension so that they are processed by Coldfusion.   I'll put up a new Server Windows 2003 R2 Standard (64-bit) and Coldfusion 9 (64-bit).   I do Coldfusion installation with no problem (choose IIS).    I cannot go into the Coldfusion Administrator and all of my. CFM pages work fine.   I then run the wsconfig command to add the. CHTML mapping:

    Seems good so far, right?   If I go into IIS and under the site look at maps, I see again:

    Alrighty - so wsconfig is configured and talk to Coldfusion and my. CHTML jrun_iis6.dll mapping was automatically created.   Things should work now, no?   Here is what I get when I try to open a. CHTML pages:

    "The Macromedia application servers are inaccessible or none of them has a mapping to process this request."   Remember, if I rename this page. CHTML for. CFM page takes over very well, so I know it's not something else (for example, sources of data or other coldfusion settings).

    So now I'm stuck...  I found a few sites that say I need to edit the wwwroot\WEB-INF\web.xml file to add mappings, but who has not made a difference either (same exact error).  I also found a few sites that say that I must have a virtual directory to JRUNScripts in each site (what I found is that when I install/uninstall Coldfusion (which I was now more than a dozen times) the virtual directory in question is automatically created about 10% of the time).  However, no matter what I do, I can't make it work.

  • 7690M GPU = HORRIBLE DRIVER SUPPORT HP

    I just got my Dv7t yesterday with 7690M and I was unable to obtain the switchable graphic to use the GPU 7690. The reason is that HP is HORRIBLE with driver support. If you access the driver section for as you you will be same not see an option for downloading 7690 M drivers Radeon, only drivers from Intel.

    After a thorough research online, I found that the switchable graphics is imperfect, even when configuring high performance, it always uses the Intel GPU. To fix, entering your BIOS and switch graphics Fixed of DYNAMICS. Then you will have the option to manually switch the GPU on your desktop, the sound is no longer automatic.

    However the question, you'll see, it's that many games don't work like SWTOR. This is because current drivers do not have the Open GL of propper drivers and you will only get blank screens. To fix this download drivers Catalyst 12.2 Overview of Guru3d. It will make your Radeon report as a series 6700 General (the 7690 is basically the 6770 with 900 mhz memory vs the 800 mhz the 6770 a). But with these drivers, everything is played very quickly, even if it decreases your slower 100 mhz memory .  I also still have the random crashes and the problems of limitation a bit.

    We must all wait HP pull their heads out of their goals and develop current drivers for the graphics card Radeon 7690 propper.

    Switching graphics

    HP did not ignore the options available to it and set up their new laptops with automatic switching. The way it works is incredibly simple: the graphics unit integrated into the processor manages the work, either the dedicated graphic unit intervenes, as needed. This allows to have powerful portable computers with a longer battery life.

    For the graphics of switching to work at its best, the driver should be updated. Unfortunately their pilots do not recognize reliable all the games I play, then sometimes that I had to manually intervene and select the graphics card in the Catalyst Control Center. The relevant menu are accessible easily by right-clicking on the desktop ("configure graphics switching").

    The switching system AMD graphics card does not even come close to Nvidia Optimus technology for now, lacks because it is in practice special functions, display screens and options for manual intervention.

    As a result of switchable graphics AMD not properly be able to switch between appropriate graphics cards, you must use the 'Fixed' option in your BIOS and manually switch your GPU.  I find that it is very simple to do, just use your AMD GPU when you play games and your Integrated GPU in the use not very large graphics programs.

    Installing drivers

    Unfortunately just using 'fixed' option is not enough for most of us.  The next issue, many of us have met is that our AMD graphics cards are unable to play any games.  It is a result current drivers of HP 8.882.2.3000 are based on drivers AMD 11.8 which are outdated and not properly configured for graphics of the 7000 series.  The only way to fix this is to install new drivers for AMD graphics cards.  One I would recommend at the moment are the AMD Catalyst 12.2.  WARNING: DO NOT UNINSTALL YOUR GRAPHICS DRIVERS BEFORE INSTALLING THE CCC 12.2.   The reason is the current drivers 8.882.2.3000 allows your INTEL and AMD graphics cards to work together.  If you uninstall the drivers, you lose two graphics cards, which means a complete failure of switchable graphics card.  12.2 just install on your current drivers, it will update only what it needs.  Second WARNING: 12.2 was not designed for the 7690M, so as a result, it will read your 7690M as a 6700 GPU series (lower your 900 to 800 mhz memory - which you'll never see any difference).

    We'll just have to wait for HP to give us some proper drivers so that we can correctly use our 7690M graphics cards.

    P.S. for those of you will rate very low fps, it is because you are using Dynamic Switchable Graphics and your Integrated GPU is active, not your high-performance GPU.

  • BC Live Chat Support became horribly slow

    I don't know about you, but when I click on the live chat, I expect at least one answer me, if not tell me that there will be a wait, while they look things up.

    The last two times I used the live chat feature, I was left hanging for more than 10 minutes without response. When I ask about their being still there, told me very curtly that I have to wait while they check on my investigation.

    I accept this (barely), but what I cannot accept, does not have to be it. At least use politeness in tapping back a statement any, such as "Please wait a minute I'll check on that. Just let people know you're still with them!

    I understand that Live Chat tends to be overused and the service people are overloaded... but I'm not too, I?

    The most recent update of the iPad (10.0.2) is horrible. My home screen looks terrible. I liked how it was! It is a mess. What is with all these white curved boxes that I don't need? He does not fit the look or feel of the iPad. Is there a way I can to restore the old version? In addition, my application of News has changed. All my old RSS disappeared. I put it in place perfectly and now I have to start over. Boring!

    Decommissioning of the iOS version is not supported by Apple.

  • Version 29 is HORRIBLE to customize

    I've been a Firefox user since very long time. When I saw that an updated version was available today so I installed. It has been since Firefox a more recent version of Firefox changed my appearance of the browser and set up drastically, but today, it's HORRIBLE! I used Firefox the whole reason is because it looks like not childish and messy look of other browsers. It seems now that I have downloaded every toolbar of spam and virus known to man. Two things make this problem worse: one, I never had to visit the support forum for Firefox before. Never. Not in almost nine years of use. The way I had to register to post my question is stupid, to put it bluntly. It is completely different from every other forum I and participate. Secondly, and no formal way to roll back my browser for my previous, pleasantly work and wonderfully implemented version is more irritating. This is beyond ridiculous and infuriating.

    So now I have to try to find an earlier version of the browser and install it and hope that it works because Mozilla updated the browser and it seems not only like crap, it has completely changed my experience of navigation and for several hours, I can't understand how to do so that he can look more closely at my previous version. I'm not a newbie here, either.

    If I can't get this to work, I will be done with Mozilla products. This is how a company loses customers, in alienating the and forcing changes on them without giving the opportunity to at least keep the look familiar and put in place. I have not yet begins to enter a large number of bugs I've read on this forum today. If I wanted a crappy version of Chrome or Internet Explorer, then I would use these browsers.

  • McAfee tells me that they are unable to support Firefox 25.0. What can I dowgrade to 24.0?

    I noticed a warning on my Extensions of Firefox screen who advised "McAfee SiteAdviser 2.8 invalid due to stability or security problems". After conferring with McAfee, I told myself that they do not currently support Firefox 25.0 and it would be better if I go down to the cover of version 24.0 or an earlier version to keep McAfee. I can do this, or is there another solution?

    No, you should stay on Firefox 25. SiteAdvisor has literally does nothing to increase your safety, but by using an older version of Firefox leave you horribly insecure. McAfee updates SiteAdvisor anyday now if you really want to use it

    This netbook has construction in small stereo speakers, and the sound is not very good. It has nothing to do with the audio driver. As you know you can try to change the sound quality by changing the values in the player s equalizer, but this will not help too much.

    I have some similar speakers on my U940, and the good is not good. With the help of his headset is really good.

    I think that it s a common firewire port (4-pin) and chip firewire supports the standard IEEE-1394 commune.

    In your case I recommend that you check the information and details posted by the sound card manufacturer.

    Maybe guys something more known on own products and the problems that might appear to use it.
