host reconnection fails during upgrade

I just started my ESX4.1 to 5.0 ESXi host upgradation. Girst host went in service mode then was awarded for a restart, restart time it shows the failed error ceconnect cannot reconnect. .............why?
But more later automatically it connected after so long why it happened like that.
You seem to have the problem with the long boot for your new esxi time 5

I tried to reboot the host but still no luck. the search file is the esx.conf file. When I ssh host I find the file here.
Any help/thoughts is appreciated.

Well, the problem was a small/dev/SHM - it's only 1 GB, I changed it to 2, 5 GB and the upgrade went well. This was reported in the prereqs, but only as a warning.
I suppose the instance ASM 12 required c more/dev/SHM in 11 g.

I found the reason for this exception. If someone will face the same problem just create/etc/oracle folder and give it permissions 777. For me, it helped.

It is usually a temporary error during hostname resolution and means that the local server does not valuationauront of response from an authoritative server.
the issue was that the VMware system was on a different subnet, and the firewall (TMG) blocked. bring the RDP to the Vcenter server and vsphere then open works like a charm

The upgrade is not the 11.0.06, but it's an update. The upgrade is that you can buy if you had an earlier version of Acrobat (at least 9 AA). The upgrade is significantly lower than the price of the full product. With the upgrade you must also have the SN of the previous product available for installation. That's why I asked for the upgrade. Once you install AA XI, then go to 11.0.06 is a free update (updates are changes in the minor version and do quarterly or when there is a critical security problem).

Portege R500 fails during POST
Hi all
I have a Portege R500 for one year now and yesterday he started to fail during POST, I presume.
The display is blocked to the power on the screen with the icons boot device selection, but can take no decision (get into the bios by selecting the boot device, etc...). I already tried to remove the battery for a few hours, without result, but I guess that should be more than a few hours to exhaust the backup battery and reset CMOS...
Other than the splash screen, no other information is available, so I think that this machine is dead... Anyone had a similar problem?Best regards

Normally this POST screen hanging means that a hardware component can t be recognized correctly. In your case, I would try removing the CD/DVD and HARD disk drive. Try also resetting the RAM modules.
If it doesn t work it seems to be a BIOS problem. Therefore, you should contact a service provider authorized in your country. They can try to reset the BIOS or reflash it.

We did most of the procedures here as well as the patch that has not worked since our server is a Windows Server 2008 SP2. What else can be done so that we can solve the problem of System Writer. Thank you.

I get error code 0 x 80070005 that reads "system restore failed during the restoration of the registry since the restore point. I don't have Norton AntiVirus.
