• Password changed in R12 apps

  Hi gurus,
  
  I use oracle apps 12.0.4.
  Today accidentally apps password has been changed manually using alter database user. Once services have declined, and one of the guys ran with the new apps password autoconfig. Although the services were running again we were not able to connect.
  I got the service changed the profile of apps to the default profile and set the original password apps and then set the profile to return to what it was.
  
  Now the application is running, we're able to connect... can you please let me know what I need to check so that we don't face problems even more.

  In 11.5.10.2, I had changed the password apps using FNDCPASS and rebounded only services after changing passwords in the wdbserve & cgi.dat files.

  It is not enough and you need to run the automatic configuration to fill the files rather than change them manually.

  now here in the current scenario of 12.0.4 accidentally apps password has been modified manually to xyz, then ran autoconfig, but still not able to you connect. - why it did not work.

  Because it has been changed manually.

  after bearing distribution services, by replacing the apps profile to default and changing manually back to abc, go back to this profile & bringing service - it worked.

  I suppose you've been lucky :)

  Now once again I have to run autoconfig as all my services are running... (Sorry for the repeated question)

• DMM Hostname\IP change

  Good afternoon

  I have problems with our server of digital media (5.3.6). Recently, we have moved the server to our data center shared and necessary to change the host name and IP address.

  Once I changed the host name and IP I refreshed the certificate self-signed and changed the DNS entry on our global catalog DNS.

  I can get to the login screen, but after the connection, she tries to redirect the old DNS server entry.

  My suggestion would be if you don't have it already is changing the name of the Servlet server host/IP this should hopefully solve your problem, this can be found in the Module signal digital itself and under the setting tab then the server settings, this setting is not obvious or well documented but won me over the years , questions can sometimes hang on your and you must reroute the DMM back to the old address/hostname change cela a setting specific, easier for you to do with a patch back to back the cable to your laptop for this! Let me know if it works!

• "Home CPU/memory/connection" (host) changes from green to gray, then gray to green?

  Hey everybody,

  I'm trying to track down a problem with one of my two hosts. My Cluster (2 guests in HA/vMotion) is pretty basic, but runs a lot of VM that requires an availability of 100% (as if we want to accept less ). This is the result I get every two weeks. It's a bit concerning to know that for some reason a node is abandoned, or is it same stall? I see no vMotion alerts or the tasks in that time. Nothing seems to break. Uptime on each virtual computer and the node in question leads me to believe that nothing is really wrong, but it can be worse than what I think. I mean he's only 17 seconds... how bad could it be, right?

  I'm assuming "Host memory usage", "host CPU usage", 'Swap host service rate console', etc. go from green to gray, then gray green means that it is not a resource problem, just an indicator that it is "grayed out" because there no report or an interruption of the connection.

  I guess I am wondering if it is network related, associated hardware partner, vsphere host or something I can't even think. The host disconnects for 7 seconds and no quick vMotioning can't. I think 30 seconds is the rule in front of him vMotions? I mean, I had rather not vMotion, if I can avoid it.

  Whatever it is, what do you think?

  My memory, I cannot keep records for a long time. Last year, I think that I have seen this problem and it was a bug. There is also a patch for it. It was a BUG where the way every now and then, the confidence in me it was no problem at all in the perspective of the environment.

  We have recently upgraded from 11i to R12 (12.1.3)
  
  The appearance of the home page has been changed to R12. The browser of responsibility now has icons '+' we need to expand/collapse to navigate between functions in various responsibilities (I'm aware that a new browser is present at the top of the page).
  
  Is there a profile or any other way to restore the appearance of the browser similar to the 11i a responsibility? For example only names of responsibility must be displayed on the left and clicking on all the functions should be displayed on the right...

  You can use je_header_id.
  Since it is sequential, you can say je_header_id > = x is R12.

  Using the command alter is not supported and you must use the FNDCPASS command.

• TRYING TO MESSAGE OF COPYRIGHT OF CHANGE ON THE WEB PAGES.

  Try to change the 'Copyright 2006' message at the bottom of the page AppsLocalLogin.jsp. Have put in FND_SSO_COPYRIGHT_TEXT and bounced the Server Web, but the Copyright 2006 message will still be displayed. Also tried to set FND_COPYRIGHT which has a similar message, but still the message of copyright does not change. That changed for R12?

  Empty the browser cache and try again.

  Ovelooked R12 keyword. I guess it's the same thing in R12. A rebound and clear cache should work.

  Check the local login mask value.

  We cloned an Oracle EBS R12.2.2 instance and it worked very well for us. To increase the RAM of the newly created virtual computer, we did the virtual machine down. Once the RAM has increased, we started all the services (without error), including level of DB and Application layer. But when we try to access the application of EBS get the following error:

  Thank you for your support. I solved the problem. Find the info below.

  Question: Like I said existing VM is cloned VM. Then after we had changed the host name. I checked the database alert log file:

  Before the reboot: name of the node was the previous still node name VM that it functioned very well. (for ex: xyz.domain)

  After the reboot: name of the node is replaced by the new host name. (for ex: abc.domain)

  Once the name of the node is changed he started creating problem in starting the application services.

  One last thing, I want to mention here after hostname change, approval of new contextfile has 700, but it should be 755.

  Solution: I followed these steps.

  (1) stop all services on the LAYERS of the DB and APP

  (2) change the new contextfile permission if not 755 and the .env at the level of the source DB

  (3) cd $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin and run as: perl adgentns.pl appspass = apps contextfile = $CONTEXT_FILE - removeserver

  (4) change the name from old host to the new host name, so find in contextfile.

  (5) start listener, then the database

  (6) listener status, it must must give service to the db instance

  (7) perform autoconfig with new contextfile (DB Tier)

  (8) perform autoconfig (pane APP)

  (9) start all services

  It works for me, and now the application is running. I hope that it will also work for others.

• Houston-27122: during the preparation of the statement SQL error while seeds VO Extension

  We are reclassification of 11.5.10 at R12.2.4.

  In 11i, we had an extension of the VO on 'oracle.apps.icx.por.wf.server.ReqLinesNotificationsVO' that works properly. Given that the standard of the VO ReqLinesNotificationsVO got some changes in R12.2.4, I have re implemented the VO extension in R12.2.4.

  I ran the query changed in the database that produces the output without any problem. But at the point where I have deploy the jpx file, I could see the page out error.

  Please help where I am doing wrong. I have attached the newspaper of errors, query VO seeded, query modified VO, VO XML and other relevant records

  Note: I've added two new columns entity & account spending.

  Also, in depth, I see the error below
