How can I become the administrator of my own computor?
I had a computer crash (viral infection) and had to do a clean install of Windows xp. Now that I'm high and running again, I discovered that I am just a user I can't manage my computer unless I am the administrator. What should I do to become administrator?
Hello
Please provide your version of XP (Home/Professional edition).
This should not really be possible after a clean install, did you do anything else since the installation?
What do you want to 'manage' and what message do you get?

-> Ask a friend to burn a CD repair system for you (Control Panel / backup and restore). Now to use this CD to start the machine in Repair Mode, and then use the system restore to set Windows to a point before you downgrade your one and only the admin account.
When you're done, plan ahead a little and create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

I was instructed to set up a Windows 7 PC. It has been used before, but I don't know by whom or how it was used. In order to do a bit of setting up I want, I need access to the administrator account. I have an account that is in the group administrator, Admin, but the account itself seems to be hidden or missing. It does not appear when I boot in safe mode. How can I access the administrator?
I found my own answer. The administrator account is disabled. Enable it, run the policy group, then Configuration Editor Local computer--> Windows settings security settings local policies--> security-> accounts options-->-->:--> Enable Administrator account status.
After that, I was able to connect to the administrator. -

How can I become an administrator I can change the print settings
my printer cannot print from the computer, so I downloaded a new player, but he said I had to be an administrator to install. How can I become one.
Hello
1. What is the operating system running on your computer?
2. your computer is on a domain?
3A this works much earlier? If so, remember you have changed your computer?
You log on to the administrator account to have administrative rights, or to check with the administrator of the computer.
In addition, if the computer is on a domain you must contact your system administrator.

Recently, I installed a trial version of Tune Up Utilities 2009. During one of the scans/tune-ups, he gave me the option to display the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and Scanners & cameras icons on my desktop. I checked ok, however, now, I think it's too crowded in my office and you want to remove them... right on the desktop, not everywhere else they are located. I tried everything I know to remove them without success. Anyone knows where is the menu option to display on the desktop so I can uncheck or choose Delete? I don't want to have to change all the .ini files or .bat to because I'm afraid I don't do it correctly and create other problems.
Hello tellis1230
I don't know what you have tried, but have a look here
Right-click Desktop-desktop/properties/Office/Customization
Uncheck what you don't want

Hello
My advice is: when you buy a second hand computer, you must reinstall the operating system
not sure if it has been used in scams or por * or is infected with malicious software that could compromise online banking
How to reinstall Vista
Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

How can I disable the administrator password
Hello
I've been using Windows since 1985. Just got a second Windows 7 (64-bit Home Premium), computer (Dell 3000 s) and when the initial installation has started like a fool I typed a password. I don't want a password. It is a computer in the home, no one else will use it and not worth a thing on this subject hiding so the NSA can get bored to death. It is a real pain to type a password whenever he starts or goes to sleep etc. Is there a way I can remove the password (in theory, I am the administrator - might as well be with a network of one person) so I can just log on as I did without problem for 25 years? I have two other machines Win 7 and two of them just don't start - no password at all. Really appreciate some help here.
You can use this method, which has been around since Windows 2000:
1. press Windows + R key on your keyboard.
2. Enter the following command and press ENTER:
netplwiz
3 click your account name.
4. uncheck the box that requires users to enter a password.
5. click on OK.
6. Enter your password when you are prompted, and then click OK.
7. make a note of your password (because you will soon forget!) -
