How can I restore my computer, my habit of exe files open

When I try to start a program/software I wonder what program/software I want to use to open it

Start mode (start pressing F8 when you turn) safe and choose Mode safe mode with command prompt. At the prompt, type assoc .exe = exefile and press ENTER. It will be no acknowledgement, just type exit and press ENTER. Now press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and restart the computer.

You may also need to restore the association .exe in Mode safe mode with networking. Download it here http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/file-asso-fixes-for-windows-7/

  • How can I restore my computer encrypted bitlocker to an external hard drive for bitlocker encrypted after main disk failure?

I backup that my bitlocker encrypted computer running vista ultimate on an attached USB harddrive external also encrypted by bitlocker.  I have the password both on a USB stick and written down.

You can restore to normal full image (well close to normal) just using the USB Flash drive and a hard disk formatted, white (with a system partition at least as large as the partition which it replaced)- and, of course, the backup drive.  I see no reason why a bitlocker recovery will be different - after all, it's just not added encryption process (although the exact procedure may vary because you may need to supply a password to authenticate the restore function and decrypt the files as they are restored - that's why it doesn't happen on the CD).  Of course, this means that you must have done a full image backup using bitlocker (not a full backup or a file backup).

    Good luck and I hope this helps. Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.

  • How can I restore my computer to factory settings so that I can give it with peace of mind about my personal information?

I would only delete personal files.

    Hello

Remove only the personal folders is not the way to do

Everyone can recover with the software of data recovery and your user account name, parameters, etc rest...

And if everyone would recommend "Dban"; who will even remove any recovery partition (which if necessary for purposes of relocation), because it deletes (as its default action) information on any hard disk that it finds in your computer and you need to reinstall the operating system.

The way to do what you want to do is to reinstall the operating system that your header request initially (but remember the only way to know that your data is never recoverable is to physically destroy the hard drive!).

Here are the various ways to reinstall the operating system:

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a set of recovery disks to reinstall from.

They should do this for a small fee.

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer (this is why I did not recommend the use of Dban).

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup.

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    See you soon.

  • How can I restore my computer after installing VS2010

I am running VISTA SP2.  I was running Visual Web Developer 2008 Express successfully for over a year when I started to have a problem of sqlserver, I couldn't fix.  Could not get help on the forum and MS of course does not provide support for a free product.  First of all, I wanted to try a new product on a trial basis, namely Visual Studio 2010.  My first trip was a disaster, but in fairness to MS, it's probably because I was installing a version appropriate for my VISTA Home Premium.  I chose the 'Professional' version, which has its own version and installed smoothly in comparison to the previous installation (with only a few items, do not install).  Bottom line after a few attempts to restore me to my home State, had to get a popup error saying effectively

CompilerService.EXE service failed try to debug the process, the question I want to ignore or to debug.  No matter how I responded that he kept trying on even after I closed Visual Studio.  Tried to post on the forum with no response, and once again there is no Microsoft support because it is a trial.  I do not understand how I could ever buy a product I can not install even with success as a trial.  Anyway after that 10 days to install, uninstall, try this and try that, I decided to uninstall VS2010 before trying anything else.  I removed VS 2010 and what sounds like one of his tools, the descendants or siblings.  And here I always get an error popping at frequent intervals, saying: see below.  VS has been deleted, I find not just-in-time, and I'm tired.  If anyone out there can suggest something that might work?

An unhandled exception ('System.InvalidOperationException') occurred in CompilerService.exe [7328] just-in-time debugging this exception failed with the following error: no installed debugger has Just-In-Time debugging active.  In visual Studio, Just-In-Time debugging can be activated from...

I thought that this register may be the cause of this persistent popup errors, so I thought I would use a FIXIT MS has made available, but the FIXIT tool fails as I mentioned before.  If someone reads this, I can be informed that I'm posting this question on this forum, so please tell me where to post.

    Hi eps123,

The question you have posted is related to Visual studio and would be better suited in the Visual Studio Forums.
