How do I disable touch mouse on Dell Vostro 1500 with Vista? _ I use a logitech mouse.

Cursor seems to jump all over the screen when I type. Causes

Hello

Mouse configuration panel - look for the TouchPad settings - perhaps under the parameters of the device and your own tab
may be different (it is NOT the Scrollings tab which is for the mouse). On some, you can activate
and disable scrolling and/or define the size of the area and the sensitivity of the touchpad.

Some will have a TouchPad progam/control icon in the Notification area near the clock-
at the bottom right.

Some models also have quick access to toggle the touchpad keys.

It was reported a problem with Dell Touchpads too sensitive - check with
Dell support and forums for known issues.

How can I disable the mouse pad when you use a mouse plug-and-play? I tried to disable the driver, and nothing works.

    Hello

Check with support of the manufacturer system, documentation online or forums that there is probably
Shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
    on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    I hope this helps.

It would take a special function key to turn on the Bluetooth on the computer. You can consult the computer manual or contact Dell for the same thing.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Troubleshoot-camera-connection-problems

You probably need to recharge the device drivers and camera control software (usually included
with the drivers and installed at the same time).

    Login as an administrator.

Double-click Control Panel / Device Manager - Imaging - writing down of the brand and model of camera.
on this subject and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who are unable to do anything as MS
is far behind the pilots of certification). RIGHT click on the camera - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the camera and the other related camera
software (if not more recent get the same).

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Manually look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers.

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (update drivers manually using the methods above is preferred
to make sure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

Then let windows updates on however prevent loading of drivers who are often older than the
those that you have installed. If updates suggests a pilot and then HIDE it and watch manually to see if their
really is a more recent version (at the time system manufacturer and the sites of the manufacturer of the device).

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Method 2: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

  • How can I disable touch sounds?

I've recently updated to Android 4.4.2 and now I touch ring ONLY when I type in Firefox version 31.0. Any other apps have touch sounds, and I have disabled system/touch sounds. How can I disable them for Firefox?

    Hi guigs2,

Thank you for your help. I tried to switch the keyboard preferences several times, including with reboots. No change. I should add that the Tablet is an Asus transformer TF701T so I also confirmed that I had Google touch keyboard as default and not the Asus touchpad.

Will [topic: support] took me in a "Troubleshooting" page, but saw no reset button. I decided to uninstall and reinstall.

A very interesting thing that happened at that time here. As soon as I uninstalled Firefox, I started to have touch sounds in ALL my apps. Before uninstalling, I only received them in Firefox. I checked again and the system settings Touch sounds Android has been still on off and Google keyboard was always set by default. So why am I touch sounds?

I went to re - install Firefox and got a prompt asking if I wanted to use the Asus keyboard or keyboard from Google. I chose Google keyboard (as I always have) and all THE sounds of touch stops immediately. For all applications.

Not sure if it's an Asus, Android or Firefox glitch. But there you go. Fixed a problem.

    Best,
    RE

  • How can I disable touch when using wacom?

I have a windows tablet, 8 which has a screen that supports multitouch interface AND wacom style tablet with wacom stylus touch BOTH.

I prefer to use the touchscreen interface for navigation normal etc etc, but when I'm ready to take notes in OneNote, I prefer out the wacom pen and take notes in my handwriting with the stylus.

The PROBLEM: because he has both touch and stylus, I can't comfortably use the stylus because my wrist or hand will touch the screen and disrupt the process.

The SOLUTION: In an ideal world, I would like to touch interface will be automatically disabled whenever the wacom pen is brought in proximity to the screen.   An acceptable alternative would be to automatically disable the touch interface when I bring OneNote (or any other specific application I name).  A worst case third alternative would be to create a shortcut (a tile or gesture) that would turn the touch interface.

(You know those moments when you type a lot and you lose everything you have entered? Yes, it just happened.)

Because I have no patience more more, I'll be a little more concise and less detailed.

I have a Lenovo X 220 Tablet with a multitouch Wacom tablet pen.

First, download the latest drivers from Wacom. I've always been able to use my stylus without worrying about touch because it disables the button when the pen is near the screen. But still, the proximity is not too far from a distance, so it is very easy for me to make stray marks with my hand while using OneNote.

To fix my problem - in other words, to disable multitouch (when I use OneNote) - I created a shortcut to disable (and another to activate) multitouch using devcon.

You can download devcon (x 64) and shortcuts here: http://uppit.com/wduku6xjgqot/Enable_Disable_Multitouch_Windows_8_x64.zip

    -Go devcon.exe Windows\System32.

-Pass the two shortcuts to the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu (to pin at the beginning)

-Disable your Human Interface Devices in Device Manager to find your multipoint touch device. Then open the properties of the appropriate device, go to events and copy the id/name of device (long and dark)

-Change the target of the shortcut; replace ' @[my device name] "with" @[name of your device] ".

There you go. When you use the shortcut to enable/disable, the command line will be open (you will need to give permission because it opens as admininstrator) and he confirms that the device is disabled/enabled.
