    Hi RubyBlu,

I see you're posting here because your iPad mini Apple Support communities is having problems to connect to your home Wi - Fi network. You talked about since someone at the Apple Store that you said to try to restore your device using iTunes, but you can't not to disable find my iPad to be able to do. I know it's important to be able to connect to the Wi - Fi at home, and I'm happy to help with this.

As a first step, I recommend take a look on this website and perform these steps in the order, if you have not tried them already:

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi - Fi - Apple Support network

If you are still looking to restore your device to factory settings, I'd recommend double-checking to make sure that you have a current backup of first. This is a resource for that if you need a refresher on how to create a back up:
The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support

Before you can restore your iPad, you need to follow the instructions here to disable find it my function for your iPad:

Delete a Mac or iOS device on which you can not disable Find My iPhone

If you can't disable find my iPhone on the device, turn off the unit so it will Disconnect, then remove of Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.

Note: You can also delete your iOS device by clearing the first - just follow the instructions below to remove an iOS device, you do not have. You can later restore the device of an iCloud or iTunes backup.

    1. Turn off the device you want to remove.

    2. Go to find my iPhone on iCloud.com.

If you don't find my iPhone on iCloud.com, your account has fair access to the web features only iCloud. To access find my iPhone and other iCloud features, set up on your device iOS or Mac iCloud.

    3. Click on all devices, select the device offline, then click on delete account.

If you don't see a delete account, click again on all devices, and then click the Delete button next to the device.

If the device comes online again, it reappears in find my iPhone. If your device again, turn off find my iPhone on the device (follow the instructions above to remove a device by disabling Find My iPhone), or if it is an iOS device and you no longer, follow the instructions below to remove an iOS device, you no longer have.

iCloud: remove your device, Find My iPhone

When you have selected "Delete account", you should be able to restore the device normally using iTunes.

    Take care!

    Please help me... Please!

I just got my new replacement P300-19 q after my previous had a defect on the keyboard AND the WiFi. My question remains however, WiFi is not connecting. OK, this isn't quite true, some how it connected last night after the service to Tiscali customer helped me Yes anf it is lit on the front of the unit. Tonight... no luck! I really think it's to do with the Toshiba ConFigFree software.

Can please please please (on bent knees) anyone help?

AFAIK ConfigFree is just surveillance and setting up a Wi - Fi connection software you probably use Windows settings.

    Also try restarting your router.

  • 3 Yoga does not connect to wifi

Hello, I got of my 3 Yoga a few months now and have had a recurring problem with the WiFi. Often, when I close my laptop and he goes to sleep, the next time I try to use WiFi not connecting. This happens sometimes when I'm in the middle of using it. There is a red X on the WiFi icon and when I click on settings says 'no networks detected.' No matter how many times I turn the WiFi works, he refuses to find all the networks. When I restart my computer, it works very well and will connect to my school's network automatically as it should. Any ideas as to why it disconnects and refuses to find my network? It's annoying to have to restart my computer everytime I want to use it. Thank you!!

    Go to the control panel

    Click on Device Manager

Under the network adapter, right click on the wireless adapter, then click Properties

Go to the power management tab, and clear the "allow this computer to turn off this device to save power".

Click on the OK button, close all windows and restart.

  • Adapter WiFi "not connected"?

If earlier I have disassembled and reassembled my Windows 7 (64 bit) "HP Pavilion Notebook PC g7" (Laptop) I got all the way up to the Wifi adapter and unplugged it and when I had finished, I plugged it properly back and reassembled it. ". The thing is, ever since my laptop is not able to connect to the internet if my hotspot (Verizon MIFI in this case) is connected via USB, but it is slow as *. Anyway is says the adapter is not connected, but it is obviously. I uninstalled and reinstalled the adapter, I disabled 'Knowledge of network locations' services and same, I restarted my laptop as a plant at least twice. I'm 99% positive, the adapter is properly nor did I scratch to the top or whatever it is!

Please help, it's been 2 years...

Also do not know if this is important or not, but the reason why I disassembled my laptop should properly take off the screen because one parts mount broke and finally he was suspended by a single thread lol. But yes, this laptop has no display and I got in all the display options or anything like that after that I disconnected the screen. As I said do not know if it matters. Laughing out loud

  • Laptop says that I am not connected to the internet when in fact I am. The LAN and WiFi

I recently acquired a laptop HP ProBook 4540 s. It is currently running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

Although I seem to have full connectivity with internet through two LAN and WiFi, the icon on the taskbar always has a red
    'X' through it.

When I go to the network sharing Center, there is no listed active networks and yet it shows fully connected at the top of the page.

Because there is no active networks listed I can't change of 'Private' to 'Home' or 'Office '.

Also, I do not believe that the computer running automatic 'windows updates' because he thinks that there is no internet connectivity.

It can search and identify the 'local' WiFi routers and I can connect to them with ease, but the laptop still says: I am not connected.

I tried a lot of things. New drivers, uninstaller and reinstall, Hard reset and many other suggestions I found on the internet without success.

I hope that someone out there has seen this particular problem.

    Thank you

    Hello Rick,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

This problem may occur because of corrupted network driver or incorrect network settings.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Run the network troubleshooting and check.
    Reference:
Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7

Convenience store network in Windows 7 provides a way for anyone diagnose and fix network problems. The problem may be caused by a number of problems with your computer, the web server or the network between your computer and the web server.

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Reset TCP/IP and check the issue.
    Refer to this article:

  • Windows 7 laptop does not connect to Wifi when the WPA2 security is Active

I have a rather unusual problem that my Compaq CQ56 laptop not not connect to my router, ASUS RT-AC56U Wi - Fi when WPA 2 security is active on the router. With WPA2 is off, it connects without a problem. But, when I turn it on WPA2 on it will not connect. This problem persists even if I change the WPA2 authentication code. All other devices at home are able to connect with the wifi with WPA2 enbabled router, and this particular laptop was able to do so until very recently.

Just to make sure that the adapter in the Compaq works, I just went to Starbucks and it connected to their wifi unsecured without problem.

I was using a TP-Link Wireless Range extender on the home network, but it was deleted.

I ran the network troubleshooting and Fix - It nothing works.

I suspect that for my home network installation file was corrupted on this laptop and I would like to know if there is a way to remove, or edit this file and start from scratch. I have a Compaq laptop earlier generation linking problem now. So I'm pretty a connection file corrupted is the problem. Just need to know how to solve this problem.

    Thanks for any help!

  • Troubleshooting-new HP with Windows 7 spectrum XT, does not connect to the WiFi at home?

So I just got my brand new HP ENVY spectrum XT Ultrabook with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. 64 bit. I start it, everything works fine, except that when I connect to my WiFi at home. I tried to connect, entered my password, but it does not connect. Also tried the easy connection on the router. No luck. I checked my old laptop which runs on Windows Vista to see if WiFi worked always, and this is where it gets interesting. I was able to browse the internet and internet worked, but suddenly Windows informed me that "another computer uses the same IP address" and it stops my internet capabilities on my old laptop. I connected my cable ethernet on both computers, and it works for both computers when it is plugged. While that plugged, I discovered that I could create my own IP address, which I did on my old laptop and so far that seems to have solved the problem. However, my DESIRE is always not connecting to WiFi. Any advice?

    Hi ZachRhodes3,

    ·         You get the error message?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: Follow the steps in the article.
