  Yes, all Microsoft products that you install on your system will have a separate license. For example, Microsoft Windows XP has its own license, which will not work with the Microsoft Office application.

  The key for pre-installed machines called OEM, and it is related to the material.  If you change enough material, it will no longer work and you will be forced to get a complete commercial key.

  In fact, you have not bought the key? BONES the fact LIM and because it is OEM it is related to hardware and is only supported by Dell.

  It is them that you need to discuss this situation, BTW, there are several 3rd party applications that can read the key if you are still interested.
