  I want to show validation errors for an inline element, and not in a pop-up note without counting as the component.

  I found that it is possible through the use of the af:message component.

  The af:message works very well as long as the component must be committed, is not within a taskflow in a region.

  If this is the case, it seems that the af:message component is ignored, and validation errors is still a time showed in a popup note.

  For an example, see the code below. This works very well on an ordinary jspx page. If the same code is implemented within a fragment of jsff in a taskflow and taskflow is then implemented as a region in a regular jspx page - the validation error is displayed in a pop-up note instead of inline.

  I solved the problem. Apparently there's a bug in the ADF, so that the attribute 'for' points to a component id wrong (client side). It simply puts the container of name in twice.

  The solution is to prepend ":" in front of the id of the component in the attribute 'for' during the use of the af:message within a fragment of a page in a region. See the example below.

  I use Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.3.0
  
  So basically, I have a validation method on an entity (shifted to the level of the transaction) that runs whenever change 1 of the 4 attributes in the table.
  The table is based on the original Version of course and has clickToEdit in edit mode.
  Validation works fine and survey the message correctly, however, every time you try to navigate away from the record, while it is not valid, the error message is added to the list of error messages in the pop-up window.
  Is there a way to show the error only once? even if the user tries to navigate several times outside the line?
  
  Try to search on the net for some answers, but nothing helped, everything points to a bug, but I wonder if there is a solution.

  Thanks to our team leader, this has been solved very simply.

  First a javascript method was created in the page using af: resource:

  function clearErrorMessages(event) { AdfPage.PAGE.clearAllMessages(); event.cancel(); }
  

  Then a client listener has been added to the table in question, that connects to this function

  I got this yesterday after the 3.6.4 problem upgrade. I'm not sure if I saw all the things you did, but I have def lost all bookmarks and the back button. I fixed it by:
  1. go to the Firefox profile directory, which for me is here but 1st bit will be different for you as mine work specific:

  C:\Documents and Settings\U049177\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\soez0lvk.default
  2 delete places.sqlite and places.sqlite - journal

  3. start Firefox (you should have the back button now works but not Favorites, he recreated to these 2 files)

  4. in the menu, bookmarks and then organize bookmarks, then button import and backup, then restore, then select a day to restore from. You should now have your backups Firefoxes bookmarks.
