Ideas:

  • You have problems with programs
  • Error messages
  • Recent changes to your computer
  • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Hello baberuth,.

·         Your computer is on a domain?

·         Do you see any suspicious activity indicating that your computer has been used remotely?

Your computer are not accessible remotely if it is on a domain.

If you have your computer password protected your computer is not accessible remotely.

I suggest that you create a password for your account, it will prompt you for the password if it is accessed remotely.

Also, open programs and features and remove the VNC program. Read this article that talks about remove programs:

Yes, if someone knows your ID Apple and your password. Keep your passwords private is kind of the whole point of password.

If you're worried, just change your password.

  • How can I check if someone has logged on to my computer in the apartment that I share with other 4...

.. .is a preserved journal of last time computer was turned on and connected?

    Hi Tyrone,

While you should follow the advice of ahaap, maybe this could help in the meantime:

Go to Control Panel / administrative tools / observer of events and double click to open it.

On the left, expand Event Viewer Local (if not already done), and then expand Windows logs and then click Security to view the security event.  They should be sorted by date.  When the computer starts, there are usually plenty of events that occur.  Search Login task category (there may be also a large number of them, some who have succeeded and some failed and some for the users of the system and others for regular users) and you should be able to see then not only the last time that a connection has occurred, but exactly what the user connected (although you may need to go through a few entries to find the information you want).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • can I check if someone has been access to my computer without my permission

the computer is working, but not connected to a working network. have my own email address and access to the internet. I have a password for the connection, but a few people in the office to know it. How can I check whether a person has opened my computer for a period of time when I'm not in. is it possible?

It is possible, but you must first enable auditing of connection events.  This is only possible on XP Pro.  You can then check that and this connected using (start-> Run-> "eventvwr.msc") event viewer to inspect the security log.

For instructions on how to configure auditing,
    Start-> Help and Support
and then type in "edit local security settings" in the "Search" window

    Moreover,.
Control Panel-> administration-> local security policy tools.
    and local policies-> Audit policy

  • I think that someone other than me has synchronized my computer. How to tell if someone has access to my activity?

I think my computer is "hidden." There are Web sites that I have not visited at all, including the Mozilla developers, who appear as previously visited. In addition, whenever I load a page, it seems to load twice, as if another copy is running in the background. Help, please.

The Firefox sync system don't live synchronization of all of the Web site that you visit on another device. That means, the problem with your sites Web appearing to load twice is more than likely not caused by the synchronization system.

For added security, please change the password for your Firefox sync account to make sure that nobody can access it.

It seems to me that you have an infection on your computer. You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one. Windows 8 already has integrated antivirus.

Please let me know if the scans detect something.

  • How to know if someone has set up my computer to store information online without knowing me

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

You can use a reliable antivirus and internet security program that scans for threats of malicious software on your PC. If found, they will be deleted. In addition, if nothing is found, you may check the firewall settings if any suspicious application is access to the internet and download files.

You can also open the resource monitor by pressing start, type "Resource monitor", right click and click 'run as administrator '. In windows, on the network tab, you can find the list of applications using the internet connection. You can zero in any unwanted or suspicious of there programs and eliminate them.

  • How to check if a repair shop swapped parts on my computer?

I had a virus on my desktop, so I've taken to a place of repair & paid $109 for the (much longer than the original quote of $29) abduction, anyway... I'll be back it & it doesn't even seem the same computer I took repair. It sounds old (like this noise gargle 1995 computer), the graphics look shit & it runs much more slowly than before. I used to be able to open my photos & now they take minutes to load of pop. I wonder if I was somehow scammed... as perhaps the place of repair took advantage of my lack of knowledge & exchanged out of somewhere or something? My computer is a little over a year old, but it works like an old machine. Help, please! Any advice?

Go to the Dell website, where they have an option to display the original configuration of your device when you buy. It simply enter the "Service Tag" of your device, you can find it at the back of your office. Look for a white sticker that is labeled as numero number series, enter the tag to the link below and it will list down the information on your computer.

I have a laptop Windows 8 . I want to connect to a new round of windows 7 and transfer the data at least 8 MB/s.

Please send me the procedure to follow. I don't want to share Internet, but want to transfer data.

You can do this, but you need a special type of Ethernet cable called a crossover cable.  This means the son in the swap position cables so that "send" and "receive" the computer two plugs can communicate.

  • someone is trying to get into my computer via the internet?

I received a phone call regarding downloads from my computer I did not authorized, by saying that, because of the volume of these downloads, my computer is running slowly. I reported my computer "suspended" through the box that appears on a regular basis when I decided to close my browser because of a message "do not answer."

I've heard other people receiving these phone calls, but this is the first time I received a. The phone number that gave me was 855-888-5881; When I called this number gave me the site: www.ceylon-tech.com... that I have no intention to go unless you have more information that it is a valid site, authorized by Microsoft. Is your company knows nothing about it?

    Connie

Nope. It's the new scam circulating. I wouldn't give them any information. Companies may not follow your PC or monitor your errors (when you send information to Microsoft, it is anonymous).

I would ignore or tell them that you will call the police. This ends in general calls.
  • I'm trying to view the photos on my pc on my tv samsung, which has a wireless connection to the computer via the router. I spent a lot of time setting up, but it still does not work! Work.

Recently I bought a Samsung smart tv I want to connect it to my pc so that I can view the pictures and videos on my TV. I have a connection through the modem but the pictures do not appear on the TV.

I did the same thing only to realize that a standard USB cable will not work. Make sure that you connect your computer to your TV using a HDMI cable standard. They are not perfectly retangular than a USB cable and have edges around the corners of slightly rounded connectors. Can be purchased at most stores computers or shack radio for about 17 or 18 dollars 6 feet long.
