  If I remember well your laptop should have S-Video output and video signal transfer port, you must use S-video cable. I hope your TV's S-Video IN port. If this isn't the case, you can use different cards.

  Your laptop Satellite P200 - 1 8 seems to support HDMI output port.
  The LCD display supports a HDMI port.
  Then just use a HDMI 1.3 cable to connect both devices.
  That would be the simplest solution.

  In any case, most recent display driver you can download on the official website of Toshiba, but usually it s preinstalled on your laptop.
  If you are using a HDMI cable, use just FN + F5 key combination to switch between monitors. All that s! :)

  For me, it looks like you have extended the Bureau for the second monitor.
  This means that all the icons will remain on the primary monitor (laptop screen) and you get another screen extended desktop.

  Click view properties, mark the second screen (external monitor) and disable the option; extend my Windows desktop to this monitor.
