How to display the playlist in Windows Media Player

Windows Media Player, lost a feature that I need

I can't get the display of all the songs with their names, time and the image of the CD down. It was on the right side and I did something to restart... now I need this back, but I can't get it. Any help on what to do?

If you mean the list pane open Media Player.

In the case of point of view of second place next to the research library, it will say, Layout Options, click it and then click Show list pane.

If in Now Playing view click now playing, and then click Show list pane.

  • How to disable the pop up "Windows Media Player cannot download the information on the media... "after the extraction of a CD without activation of network connectivity.

When I copy a CD with Windows Media Player, I get the message pop up after the investigation period is over: "Windows Media Player cannot download the media for this CD information. The other titles, artist, and album will be identified as "Unknown" in your library. For best results, connect to the Internet or manually add media for CD information. »

I know that the message appears when I turn on the setting to allow WMP to connect to the internet to get information about the media, but I don't want WMP does. What I want is a button I can push on the pop-up that says "don't show this message again" (similar to the warnings seen in internet explore). How can I disable this pop-up window without activating the internet connection option.

In case you're wondering, the data from the internet are incompatible in the naming convention so when I rip an audio book, so I can listen to my mp3 player, I can't completely post-processing script because not all of the disks in a set have a coherent on the slopes or even name the disc etc. At least drives marked 'Unknown' is consistent and so easy to script for the reduction to a single MP3 file.

  • How to make a playlist in Windows Media Player?

I ripped a CD in Windows Media Player.  However, I can't find it in my WMP library.  The only way I can listen to music is if I insert the CD into my computer.   How can I find the music CD in my library without inserting the CD?  I think I know how to make a playlist, if I can find the music.

Thank you, Jetta.  I think I found what was wrong. I have not played the music in the 'Unknown' folder in date dated 7/11. When I clicked here and played from there, I'm able to drag and drop.  You asked what was going on until I thought about it.   Thus, for some reason any music 7/11 come immediately when I open WMP. When I tried to drag drop a melody, or all the pieces, I got the circle red/slash, which means "Cannot to this action." Thanks for your suggestions - they brought me to understand.

  • Cannot drag and drop songs into the playlist in windows media player.

We just got a new laptop with windows 7 and I guess windows media player the windows media player 12. I tried to add songs on my mp3 player. After I rip the songs on the cd, I can't drag and drop them in my playlist. When I drag a song it shows a picture of the cover of the cd, with the words "a track" on this subject and a red circle with a slash but it. He didn't let me down. I've never had a problem with media player before on our other computer. I'm doing something wrong or something is wrong with my drive? I tried different CD 2 and 2 separate mp3 players.

    Thank you

It seems OK, can I have solved the problem. Still not sure what was going on. Thank you

  • multiple copies of each song in the playlist on Windows media player

OK here is the problem Windows media player started acting up six months ago in taking my music and doubling and tripling, so next time I opened the player instead of having a song should be 2 to 3 to 4 copies of the same song wasn't a single album it was different albums all new songs of my old songs I had before on another computer has not copied over.

It was the first problem, the second problem which began about three months ago, I started noticing the programs that I installed on the computer telling me that I had a visual experience better if I update Windows media player, not a program but several when I checked the version it has been updated.

So why if it's updated all programs says visual experience would be better if I updated the player?  so I go into troubleshooting utility to see what could be wrong.  When is the troubleshooting he wants to restore default I very well it but it never gets done and the problem does not get resolved?  Convenience store also happens with configuration parameters are defined bad convenience store as soon as the defect does not solve the problem if any body knows how to solve this problem Windows player plays correctly, but it is very tiring having to remove 300 songs because they have doubled and tripled.  My operating system is Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit Windows media player as I can tell is number 11 and a updated version of programs that are installed on my computer tell me to update? I have other programs that do also video just need to know why Windows media player is not compatible or apparently not compatible with other programs? no response would be good any help would be nice.

    Help, help, help, help, please.

    Hi Ken

I see that you have not been offered help with this yet, so we'll see if we can get something going on!

Firstly if you have Windows 7 you must run WMP 12. You run automatic updates from MS?

In any case I want you to try is - go to "User accounts" in the control panel and together an account "number two". When this is done to insert a cd and Media Player will open and ask you to use the default settings or customize it. I had to go for custom parameters and in the quality of at192mbps "rip music" tab select mp3 or more (you can get a box pop up asking you to accept copyright laws - accept and continue)...

When he's ready, rip the cd and we'll see if this second account behaves or if you get the same problem of duplication. Looking forward to the result!

I have more 24 000 songs taken from my hard drive.  I saved it in a playlist, but every time I got close Media Player and then reopen Media Player playlist is up to 10,000 songs.  I can add songs to the playlist (which then it takes about 34 000 songs) and save the playlist. However, it is up to 10,000 when Media Player is closed.

  • How can I import playlists in Windows Media Player in XP to my new Windows 7 computer?

I found and preserved from the old machine to xp, WMP Playlist files. How to import them into the new W-7 machine Pro? I have several long reading lists and rebuild seems them such a waste of time... I think that the playlists can simply be transferred.

The files are PLAYLIST. CDX; READING LIST. DBF; READING LIST. FPT; and playlist.dat. (I think). They were previously under Documents and Settings Application Data etc in XP. Is there a place in W7 I can stick and I WMP to recognize them? Is it really that simple?

You will not be able to use if the files are not in the same exact spot. If you had backed up your computer running Windows XP by using Windows Easy Transfer, your personal files (music - playlist, docs, pictures, photos, and contacts) was saved and be much easier to import and maintain. • How to open .zip files in windows media player? I get the msg file type not supported. MP3 files are in the folder.

Hi I downloaded audio files that you want to create a playlist on windows media player to download to my mp3 player so I can be more mobile to study. When I tried to play on windows media player I get error msg-file type is not supported or the codec is not compatible with the player. They are .zip files. inside are the mp3 files that I need to listen to. can someone help me.

    Hello

You need to open ZIP files, which are compressed to make it smaller, then use the content
in the application appropriate - so if the audio or video content can use WMP.

Compress and uncompress files (zip files)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/compress-and-uncompress-files-ZIP-files

Although Windows has integrated ZIP, you might be more comfortable using a program
with more features (and works with different types of compressed files).
