  A relative of the United States was made a Zoo Tycoon 2: Zookeeper Collection (PC) as a gift some time ago. The problem is that a disc does not.

• Problem running the Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection

  I just installed a fresh copy of Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection on my laptop with windows 7 and can not enforce. Whenever I try to start the program (after waiting a few minutes) it comes up with the message-

  "Insert the Zoo Tycoon 2: ultimate collection disc 1 into your CD-ROM drive, select ok and restart application."

  I already have disk 1 in and I tried 2 other drives as well, but it still does not work. I have re-installed twice now and checked that my computer meets the requirements - what it does, but I still can't get it to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Generally you encounter this message if the installation of the game is not over and that you are trying to read. Uninstall the game completely from your system (programs and features) and then try to reinstall the game and see if the problem is resolved.

• Zoo Tycoon 2 - cannot run

  My daughter has Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate Collection. It runs on a 32-bit computer Win 7 with 3 GB of RAM. It worked very well for a long time. After a few months of not playing, she inserted the CD and launched the program. The screen 'Run', 'Install', 'website' appeared. She clicks on 'run '. After a few moments, a dialog box appears that says: "Please insert the Zoo Tycoon Disc 1 and click OK to run the Game" or something similar.   Hello! I have a Windows 7 computer and the Zoo Tycoon 2 Zookeeper Collection and extinct animals. These are both installed and working properly on the computer, but when I tried to install the Marine Mania expansion pack, when he enters the installation wizard, he invites me to uninstall my game and delete all my files.   I bought my grandson the game PC Zoo Tycoon 2: extinct animals Expansion Pack and didn't see the message of "Zoo Tycoon 2 to play the calls."  No problem; so I buy the game Zoo Tycoon.  My problem is: I can't find a Zoo Tycoon 2 game that supports Vista.  It is still available, and if not, can you download something that drives?  Surely they wouldn't do a Vista sustainable game which requires a game you can't play.  I can't found.

  Thanks for posting in the Microsoft answers Forum.  As long as your version of Vista is 32-bit, you should be able to run Zoo Tycoon 2.  There have been some problems reported with computers have 4 GB of RAM as well.  Once you install the game there is a update available on the site Web of Microsoft Game, you may want to consider to download and install.  Here is the link:

  Ive just installed Windows 7 32 bit on my laptop of son.

  Zoo Tycoon 2, the collection of zookeepers installs OK but does not work. If I insert disc, the screen comes back, but when I hit play nothing happens and zoo tycoon disappears from the Task Manager.

  I know now I can play my game because I bought a new computer, I did think something good but I do not have, there 64 bit and games Zoo requirement is 32-bit, so it won't work, I have a drawer full of PC games with 32-bit xp. now what I'll do.   There are many versions of zoo tycoon, which are compatible with vista 64-bit. See the link below. But if the requirement of the game is only 32 bits, then you will not be able to play these games on 64-bit.

• extended Zoo Tycoon marine mania

  We loaded the original Zoo Tycoon (who runs with Directx 8) wih no problem with Vista64.
  We downloaded the disc Zoo Tycoon Expanded (Marine Mania).
  Now we try to run it we receive error message "You must have Directx 8.0 or later version to run Zoo Tycoon" when we try to run it.
  We tried several attempts to download DirectX (version 8.0 and later).
  How can we get around this error?

  In considering this issue, I found an update available here.  You can see if this help update.  Also, I noticed that the original ZT was created before Vista.  Even if it shows compatible, you should click with the right button on the game .exe file and select this option to run in XP compatibility.  Try these things and let us know the results. • Zoo Tycoon 2 does not work on Vista 64 bit Ultimate

  When I start the game it gives an error saying that I have 0 MB of RAM installed.
  I also have a stub GPF.

  I tried to turn on DEP for all programs and added ZT.exe in exceptional cases.
  I edit "MSCONFIG" to show only 2 GB of ram.

  The issue of ram 0 MB goes, but I still I get a stub of protection error when I start the game.

  The thing is my old Zoo Tycoon 1 full collection works very well.
  ZT1 was released around 2001-2002. Whereas ZT2 came out around 2006.
  How can and more old-fashioned work fine but not the new version. I expect it to be the other way around.

  Someone at the helpdesk said MS the ZT2 game does not work on Vista 64 bit and I should install a virtual machine so that it can work in 32-bit.
  Is really the only way? Help, please.

  Also how much RAM do you have installed on the computer?
  Did you add extra RAM since the purchase of the computer?
