  In Vista, there are limited means of control Windows and many of those who apply to the general patterns and not to individual windows.

  You can try to adjust the location of your temporary directory.  It will be a problem of setting up the system if and not adjustable by Adobe Download Assistant himself.

  Went into system preferences > Mission Control > Dashboard (overlay, space, off) - OFF - overlay and then again.
