  It is a feature of the Java EE 6 platform and you can not disable/enable the only feature on weblogic server.

  1. click on START
  2. click on 'run '.
  3 type "notepad" (without the quotes) and press enter
  4. copy and paste this into Notepad:

  5. click on file > save as

  7 type usb.reg as the file name and save the file somewhere easy to access
  8 go find the file and double click it. Confirm that you want to add it to the registry
  9 restart the computer and see if you can wake the system from standby mode

  Sorry, but you cannot use an internal hard drive for ReadyBoost. Indeed, an SSD can not use ReadyBoost.

  This feature can use a USB flash drive external as a hard drive cache to improve the disk read performance.

  I thought about it later.

  When you disable "Secure starting" or any other option in the BIOS security, you will be asked to enter the 4 digits to restart.

  I was typing the 4 digits while having "num lock" so while I thought I was typing the numbers, the BIOS would not accept the changes simply because what I was typing was 'empty '. Make sure you actually see the numbers, you are required to enter the screen.

  I upgraded my hard drive to an SSD and it's done. Laptop works very well.  The Samsung SSD software installed and it says that I need to enable AHCI to get the SSD running at full capacity.

  I searched the BIOS and don't see anywhere to change that.  I then went to the Device Manager in Windows 8.1and I don't see any ATA/SATA controller.  All I see is a RAID controller. RAID controller in a laptop?

  Can someone tell me how to activate the AHCI?

  Because your laptop is a portable consumer there is no way to change the BIOS to AHCI setting.

  The BIOS is set by default for RAID on your model series because some models come with one of these drives covering with a SSD and for a technical reason, that those who must be configured in RAID 0 mode so that Setup work right.

  It is my understanding that if you install the latest driver Intel RST, which is supposed to support TRIM SSD starting with the Intel 7 series chipset, and yours has series 8, so he must have full support for one SSD usage even in RAID mode.

  Yes, that's correct.

  AHCI is enabled by default.

  This is why everyone struggled to install XP on laptops. AHCI drivers must be loaded before installing XP at the prompt F6 or slipstreamed into a copy of the XP Setup disk.

  Now... you can do whatever you want, but I don't know of anyone on this forum who has installed an SSD in any model dv6000/dv9000 Series notebook.

  If you know it's possible, thanks for posting back after installing a SSD and let us know how you did.

  I suggest to check the Autoconfiguration WLAN service and set it toAutomatic and check if the problem persists.

  a. click the Start button.

  b. type services.msc in the search box and press on enter.

  c. Locate the autoconfiguration WLAN Service and check if it set to Automatic & not automatic delayed.

  If you are still facing the same problem, then turn on tracing for a local wireless network when you start a Windows Vista-based computer.

  To enable tracing for a WLAN in Windows 7, follow these steps:

  a. click on start to reduce this includes this image and then type cmd in the box start the search .

  b. right click on cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator.

  The collapse of this includes this imagIf you are prompted to confirm that you want to continue, click continue.

  c. type the following line at the command prompt and press ENTER:

  netsh wlan set tra persistent

  The monitoring starts immediately and is persistent. When you restart the computer, the tracking begins shortly after the start of the WLAN auto configuration service. Existing monitoring log files are overwritten.

  Note: To stop the follow-up after you activate it, use the following command:
