  I have a weird problem where key F6 on my keyboard does not work under Vista but works fine when I run ubuntu. I checked with MS material support and they confirmed that it is not a driver problem. Something wrong with Vista here.

  Hello, I decided to trust someone w / helping me to improve the performance of the system by closing some services using msconfig, although I have some keys on my keyboard that interact w / drive DVD from Toshiba in my computer for generic commands; Play/Pause, Stop, etc to jump to chapter. These keys do not work anymore, I looked at my device manager, and the only thing I can think of that would have to do with these keys is the Microsoft eHome Remote control device keys on the keyboard. I looked at its properties and it says that this device is working properly. Already, I went into msconfig and reset booting the normal start, restarted and nothing has changed. Help please

  Your keyboard is set to french. To resolve this problem, look at the right hand of the bar at the bottom and you will see a keyboard. Click on it and press U.S..

  My laptop is less than 2 years and I am a touch typist so don't hammer away from the keyboard. I live in a country of the region, so it's a little harder to get to a service center for the correction of a problem (and anyway I think that they would talk to me instead of the entire keyboard!)

  I had a problem with 2 other keys, but with a bit of violin and pry the keys to the top with a toothpick, the problem seemed to be fixed.

  I think that you will need new keyboard because it of not possible to replace the simple buttons
  You can remove the caps of unique key, but you cannot delete the button

  I m afraid. you will need to buy a new keyboard and then could replace that

  The replacement of keyboard is not really complicated. Two screws fix the keyboard.
  The two screws are hidden under the cover of thin plastic above the F1 - F12 key
  If you remove the plastic cover and the two screws, then you would be able to get out the keyboard, but be careful that the keyboard is connected to the motherboard with a flat cable

  I forgot to remove the transmitter/receiver for my my laptop Microsoft ergonomic mouse. I put my laptop in my bag with the transmitter/receiver still connected to my PC. I realized that it is broken when I tried to use the mouse and it says "Unrecognized USB Port". Is there a way that the transceiver could be fixed or how can I get another transmitter/receiver for my Microsoft ergonomic mouse sculpt without having to buy another brand new.   If there are obvious physical damage to the receiver do not use.

  If there is no damage to the receiver, I suggest trying the mouse and receiver to another computer to try to confirm it's a fault with the mouse/receiver and not something on your computer.

  If the fault does not seem to be the mouse/receiver, I suggest you contact hardware support of Microsoft for advice:

  Dear community,

  I have the Sculpt duo ergonomic keyboard & mouse Microsoft, but I have a problem only with the keyboard.

  1.) does not recognize the keyboard: shift + c

  I use the caps lock button to make a big 'C '.

  The two shift keys do not work with the c key

  (2.) by typing in Microsoft Word (Microsoft Professional Plus 2013), I'll start typing a phrase and all of a sudden it will copy what I write in the following line. Here is an example:

  So I started typing and when I went to type the word "Diagnostics", Word automatically copied the sentence and stuck where my current typing was.  I hope this makes sense.

  It seems that I turned on some sort of shortcut with SHIFT c and now he's doing the thing copy instead, but I have no idea how I did this or how disable it.

  Things I've tried:

  -restart the computer

  -have disconnected and reconnected the USB receiver

  -turn the computer off, by disconnecting and reconnecting the USB receiver, turn on the computer

  -uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers

  -multiple restarts again

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit operating system.

  Right-click on a file, select open with, again, and select the appropriate program in the list.  Make sure that the checkbox "always use..." "is checked.

• Paved digital Sculpt Microsoft ergonomic Wireless Keyboard For Business stopped type numbers

  I use a Sculpt Microsoft ergonomic Wireless Keyboard For Business for 7 months, and last week it stopped being able to enter numbers from the numeric keypad. It works fine when I have num lock off, but when it is turned on, keys other that NUMLOCK, calc, draw back, clear and enter the work stoppage.  Before my last reboot, 5 and more keys on the keyboard acted as key popup when caps lock was on.

  I replaced the battery in the keypad, rebooted the machine, moved the USB receiver to a different path and checked the batteries in the keyboard.  I have the latest version of the software Center installed keyboard and mouse.  Nothing new has recently installed through Windows Update except for the virus definitions.

  I will try to reinstall the Windows Update Agent Installer.  Here is a link to the Microsoft site that explains how to do this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949104.   Go to the section How to get the last agent to update as it is already installed.  Scroll down to the section on the additional information tab called Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (I checked that it also works under Windows 7).   Choose one that fits your computer (x 86, x 64, Itanium).  Run this update and follow the instructions.  Windows Update will now be reinstalled, but it's a good idea to restart at this point.
