yashar2014,
Remove the utility OKR not to cancel the system warranty, but you can do "NOT" a return of the product without the OKR utility
Edit: If you re - the image of the system using the recovery media, then you should be able to return the machine

Satellite U500 - 10L - how to bring it back to factory settings?
That if I don't have any of my Satellite U500 - 10L recovery disk and I need to format this laptop and bring it back to the factory settings and Windows? It is true that it is inside the laptop?
Previously I formatted and installed windows 7, in this case is the recovery has been removed from this laptop! Thanks :)
Hey Buddy,
I think you didn't read the manual right? ;)
Recovery procedure is very easy and you have two options: HDD recovery or recovery disk.
HARD drive recovery can be used with the version preinstalled Windows only so if you have installed another version of Windows this option isn't available anymore. The exact procedure is described in the user manual, you need to enter the advanced Windows (key F8) boot menu and choose fix my computer. You will see a new window where you can choose the HARD drive recovery.
The Toshiba recovery disc yourself using the preinstalled Media Creator Toshiba recovery must be created. That's why you have some blank DVDs and the tool will automatically create the discs. This disk can still be used to restore the original settings, independent what OS is installed, as well as on the new hard drives. If it still works because the HARD disk will be cleaned completely before installation.
Now it s also too late for disk recovery, but you can order a copy here:

I recently bought a used computer on craigslist. It's a HP Pavilion a6700f. He came originally with Vista, but the previous owner installed Windows 7 32 on it. I want to put it back to factory settings, but I can't seem to do it without the recovery disks, which I did not. I have tried F11 at startup, but the system recovery won't be open in this way for a reason any. I tried to buy HP recovery disks, but they only for Windows Vista 64-bit. I'm not sure if my computer came with Vista 64 bit or -34, although she has 34 bit Windows 7 right now. How can I recover the computer to factory settings? Can I buy the Vista 64-bit recovery discs and use them? Will they work? Thank you.
Hello
The command system will work for you given that provide you the product id of your machine. Please use the following link, it should tell you that the original operating system:
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/bph07143
Good luck.
ps. Based on the following link, its original operating system was:
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium with Windows Media Center with Vista Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
Therefore, it should work with 64 bit.

How to restore the computer to factory settings?
I want to restore my computer back factory settings im tp do not know how to do that please inform me on what I do you solved the problem
Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed. There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Satellite A200-17O - how to restore Windows to the factory settings?
Hello
I have a Satellite A200-17O. I want to restore Windows Vista to factory settings, I did not need to backup all the files. I don't have the product recovery CD. When I press F8 and click on the "Repair" option, it will give me all the options, but when I click on the option to completely recover the system (the one on the bottom), it will simply open a window telling me to back up my data, then theres a button 'OK', and when I click that, the window will simply close and return to the menu options. All I want is to return Vista to factory settings.
Thank you for your help.
Hello
Yes, normally you can restore your computer laptop initial configuration using disk HARD recovery option. Therefore, you must follow the instructions here:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD1303440001R01.htmIf it doesn't work, you need to use the Toshiba recovery disc. If your computer laptop didn t come with such a recovery disk you create yourself using recovery preinstalled creator tool. This is mentioned in your user manual, have you checked it?
Therefore, you need a few blank DVDs. I recommend the DVD-R from Verbatim or TDK. Many users here have a good experience with these brands.
If you have any other questions, just after again! ;)

Except if you have deleted the recovery partition on your machine, your machine must have a recovery partition. Make sure all your backup files before you restore the PC/laptop to the factory settings.
To set your PC/laptop to the factory settings, restart the PC/laptop. At HP Home screen has reached repeatly F11 (or ESC) key to start the recovery process. Follow the instructions on the screen.

How to reset a L520 to factory settings
Hello world
I'm a bit stunned; All ThinkPad, I used previously came with Rescue and Recovery and all about HD to restore its factory settings. My L520 brand new with Windows 7 Professional/64 bit (which happens to do more strong buzz that I can endure, so there need go back) doesn't seem to have this option. Of course I should have first installed rescue and recovery and saved everything?
No documentation that I can find on the laptop or on the web does also appear to cover this.
So: I'm already in a deep * beep *? Is there a hidden option to completely reset the L520 to factory settings (by crushing the BONES with a stored "image factory" to another partition or something?)
Quick help would be great because I have to return the L520 this week...
Thank you!
Karlheinz
Of course... As soon as you are desperate enough to post on the support forum, you find the solution. In the case anyone research this lateron:
- Reset
- During startup, press the blue button of the Thinkvantage
- Select the option select factory
- Do the factory reset
See you soon,.

How long to restore pc to factory settings?
I have a pc compaq presario cq5320f dual processor. I got a virus received discs to restore the factory settings. I tried last night CD everything worked well but he always took to install new software (13 hours) hp will not help as they say its out of warranty... Got up today... Was not finished yet as advised to me so I started again... It was about 2-3 hours now... Anyone know if this is normal... ? A guy that I talked about at HP said it can sometimes take a long time... He said a guy it took FORTY-EIGHT hours to install (does not work after that) any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Hello denicemd: 1st of all why not try this:
1. remove all the parts of your computer except keyboard & mouse
2. with your recovery media in your optical drive press the "F8" key to install all via "safe mode".
3. If she asks you can choose the administrator who pick rather than your own name to follow what you see on your screen
Sometimes, that's what a pc should be normal
4. run chkdisk or scandisk with all the options checked to eliminate problems of HD
5. while still in safe mode, download an antivirus & antispyware apps at least
6. when linking your stuff
After that unless you need a new HD I would be very surprised if you didn't have a full recovery!
Good luck
hope this helps
