  How to understand America? Do you mean WE, in North America or South America?
  I checked US Toshiba support page and Satellite A100-1201E is not listed there. It is without doubt no portable US model.
  So please be so kind and post it where we can find the Toshiba WXP drivers for this model of laptop.

  What you can try is to contact nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer.
  They have access to the database of Toshiba and they can help you with it.

  My big question is this: I would like to delete the original HD (its a W8) and replace it with a new one.

  This PC must run software PLC does not at all under W8.

  Ather application are VM with several preinstalled PLC version incompatible with each other.

  On the HP site only a few drivers are available; Chipset are missing for example and many others (for W7).

  If I choose W8, drivers seem incompatible with W7.

  Where can I get it? Can buy this PC or will better choose another?

  Your answer is exactly was I think for the same reason that other people on this forum are little upset regarding HP, lack of pilots.

  It is not easy to understand it as the "Builder" in the motherboard. Possible scan of course is the net serching code of the provider, but is not as professional as HP should do!

  As to describe my PC should work on the development environment of software and also as support for our client and is for non-professional use a laptop 'perhaps' after a while because some drivers are not available.

  Probably isn't a fault of HP (not completely out) but Microsoft, who has two branch: W7 in industrial and W8/W8.1 for funny.

  Side of HP, there is driver for Nvidia and not for a chipset; This big deal.

  Very bad. Probably, this PC is more for fun home and now I'm sure to move to the other constructor.

  The real appeal was the 12 GB of ram; like manna for virtual machines.

  Restore CD provided you can install new OS. There is no option for any type of repair just clean OS installation operating system.
  There is nothing to do at the moment. Before the start of the procedure for recovery of the disk HARD will be formatted and in your case, it's already done. There is no chance to fix whatever it is, whatever that means clean OS can be done now.

  Check the Device Manager.  Click Start and right-click computer.  Click Properties, and then click Device Manager.  Look to see if there is? or! next to the entrance of CD-ROM/DVD-ROM.  If so, you can download the required driver from the manufacturer of your laptop and install it.  If this isn't the case, who worked on your laptop may have accidentally disconnected the disk.  If it has been less than 30 days since they worked on it, you could take and have them check it out, because they should warranty their work at least this amount of time.

  Did you look in the user manual?
  This doc is always pre-installed on laptop and provides useful information. Also how to connect a TV and use simple notebooks ports.

  A hint; You must use an s-video cable to connect the laptop to the TV.
  Then use the FN + F5 key combination to switch between display devices.
  Sometimes the special s-video option must be enabled on the TV.

  I would recommend consulting the manual of the TV also.

  I installed Windows 7 today and now the Chicony Webcam does not work. I've updated the drivers and the software for the Toshiba for Windows 7 download site, but nothing happens when I click on camera assistant.   1. I upgraded my comp to Windows 7, Ultimate because I need to use many XP programs. What I've discovered, is the virtual XP Mode is not the same thing as XP regular and many programs do not run properly. Particularly theAudio out to lunch and MS GS Wavetable is not available in XP Mode.

  2 - I end up having to buy another XP-Professional and installed in the same notebook. I have to turn off the laptop restart and select the Windows 7 to XP operating system. All old programs work fine under XP.

  3 - I continued looking for a fix for the XP Audio Mode or virtual. Almost 2 years now, I can not find such a simple solution.

  4. today, I found something on the Microsoft RDP Audio driver. What is the reason? Anyone know?

  I'm not interested in the commercial programs or attempts to scan my computer. MS sold Windows 7 that can run XP so I think that Microsoft is responsible for fixing.
