How to make Firefox such as Google Chrome address bar?

Hello

I don't want the Firefox address bar to be filled with Web sites, which most is old and I no longer go to this topic.

The way that Chrome is that it has a Web site on top and underneath it searches Google keywords.

Example: http://i.imgbox.com/XhGywpSl.jpg

Is it possible to change the settings or an addon that allows this function?

The built-in features are not getting all the way to your last screen where you have entered something in the middle of looking for suggestions. Firefox almost always lists more than suggestions for history search engine. You may have to disable just on the menu drop down.

To experiment to hide all entries in the history (and if you wish, bookmarks and open tabs), and the procedure turn on suggestions for research on the dropdown menu, see section "How can I control the address bar shows me what are the results?" John article linked you:

Awesome Bar - Find your Firefox bookmarks, history, tabs in the address bar

Add a screenshot of the results.

With regard to the overall layout from the drop-down list, you can modify it to some extent using custom style rules. Those that can be applied to the interface of Firefox using the Stylish extension (easier) or a userChrome.css file (if you're not ready to install all extensions more). Thus the possibilities of customization, see my style user here:

Hello. I worked hard to make 8 usable and more like Win 7. I have disabled the lock screen, bought Stardock Start8 software so I can use my PC, turned off all hot corners and charming bars, or whatever they are called. I removed almost all of the pre-installed apps and app Store of Windows.

If you want to open a new tab in a some URLs (like www.google.com or another site) go to Subject: config find/type browser.newtab.url , double click (or right click on it and select Edit) and type the url you want. Whenever you open a new tab, you open it in this url/site.

  • How to stop multiple self-switching to the address bar every time I open a new tab and try typing something anywhere outside the address bar?

How to stop multiple self-switching to the address bar every time I open a new tab and try typing something anywhere outside the address bar? As something just wants me to use this integrated search when you type something non-Web-address in the address bar and press to enter. And the most ridiculous thing is that happens repeatedly on as every second, as I just got off the address bar and start typing again, but still he passes me in the address bar, then 3, 4 times like that. And the result is that I don't see the address of this page.

I think that its has something to do with my AVG Antivirus, because it started the same time a Nation AVG started to appear in each new tab I opened (and which is irritating as me, I've read here on support.mozilla.org and it seems that the only solution is to completely reinstall Firefox, but I don't want to lose all my settings) but when I type something in the address bar and press enter It opens the search results in Google.

Please try to help me, I love Firefox but I have to switch to Chrome until I fix this.

    Thanks in advance

First of all, please update Firefox 32. 22 is no longer support is not safe. So, let us know if you still have this problem. Update Firefox to the latest version

You talk about the size of the text of the elements of windows.

  • How to make Firefox look like Chrome?

Is there anyway to make Firefox 29 back to the old layout?

I chose to use Firefox because I loved the presentation of the user interface, and it doesn't look like Chrome. In this new update I may as well pass because they look almost identical. It's really disturbing to me, I like Firefox and this new Interface looks really bad for me.

Can't we just updates that improve the code and the quality of life issues without being constrained by using a browser that is a clone of Chrome 1:1?

    -Smoot

I went to the Pale Moon browser today. Because Firefox has been open source and there are clones available. Pale Moon is literally everything that Firefox has been (down to each individual option) before Mozilla decided to break their own product and replace it with Google Chrome 29.

Look the same, works the same, will not be updated and break all the time. Congratulations to all.

If the address bar search has been changed, so you can take a look at Search the Web from the address bar.

  • Why don't Pinterest to me login on Firefox but in Google Chrome it works?

I'll go to Pinterest and connect you with the correct email and password and when I click on send, it will go right back to the home page asking me to log in again. I used to have Google Chrome and it worked perfectly fine out there.

    Hey brooketolly,

Connect you in fact or that you use the saved password? You can go to Tools > Options > Security tab click on passwords saved. This will give you a list of sites that you have saved a password. Just find pinterest and delete this entry.

You can also delete cookies from this site in order to make the site you not forget if you have created a remember me cookie by going to Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If this does not work, try to start Firefox in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode. If you do not have the issue so that all your modules, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the guide to troubleshooting Extensions and themes and article troubleshooting issues with plugins like Flash or Java to solve common Firefox problems as well.

  • How to make Firefox ask again me if I want to save a password for a website when I already said it not?

I go to a website and log on to it.
Firefox asks me if I want to save the password.
    I say no.
Later, I decide that I don't want Firefox to save the password on this website.

How can I make Firefox ask me if I want to save this password again?

The Web site is not listed in the (Options-Security-passwords-Exceptions) list.

I see that you always use the old version of Firefox 29.

In this version autocomplete = off on the form will prevent Firefox to store the name and the password.
In this version, you have the signon.overrideAutocomplete set to true.
In Firefox 29, the default value is false, and in the current version this pref is set to true by default and will bring up the door hanger to remember the password.

But you need to update to version Firefox 34 because Firefox 29 known security vulnerabilities.
