    Hello

Could you please tell me what model of laptop you have exactly?
Have you changed the system of Windows in the past?

With regard to the installation of the system:
Laptop Toshiba computers come preinstalled with an image of Toshiba and, usually, you can retrieve the computer laptop initial configuration by using the option of recovery of HARD drive or you can use the Toshiba recovery media that you create using the preinstalled tool called Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.

This software allows you to create a flash disk or recovery recovery memory stick.
In your case, it would be desirable to create a flash memory stick, because the phone was not equipped with a CD/DVD drive.

I recommend you to check the following documents from Toshiba on the system recovery procedure:

    Hey Will324

link below has how to do a vista repair install

It is made of wihin a vista operating system

you are not for this toshiba recovery disk

you will need to borrow a dvd microsoft

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-Vista.html

or backup your data and reinstall

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send vista recovery discs

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above

I would like to uninstall the driver too because I learned how to type on a desktop computer and when I type

The touch pad mess up my typing and make me look stupid, once I learn how to type on laptop hard reinstall

You really don't want to uninstall the driver, because the default driver will take the place of Windows and you will have no control over it.  Make sure to INSTALL the latest driver and then you can go to the settings of the mouse and you can DISABLE the click to the mouse pad.

  • Laptops stolen - draw MAC addresses

We had a number of thefts of laptop the past few months and would be able to follow some of these flights, if only we had the MAC addresses! When the new laptops are stolen just after delivery there is no record any of their wireless or the MAC addresses of the NETWORK card that could be used to locate their use on our network and the networks of other Institutions there. It seems that Toshiba does not keep a record of the serial number and MAC address.

A plea for Toshiba: when will you begin keeping a record of MAC addresses against the serial numbers?

Although we appreciate that software is available to change the addresses MAC is not valid to save addresses for every laptop on the issue?
At least we would take a chance to follow the mobile phone in use... ???

    Hello

It seems that it s not known to you, that this is a user forum and you will find only Toshiba users of cell phones here in the forum. If nobody from Toshiba here.

Anyway did you check the lower part of one of the units of Toshiba?

I found on my books different labels below with different numbers.
There is a label with the serial number, model number and you will of course find the two labels with LAN MAC address and the WLan Mac address.
I think that it s no problem so that everyone can note these numbers and addresses

    Hello

You n t need to use the Toshiba Recovery disk if you want to you can use a Microsoft Windows clean disk in order to install the Windows operating system on your device.

The necessary drivers and tools can be found and downloaded from the Toshiba driver page.

I did in several times, I have my own CD Win XP and I was able to install Win XP without the use of the recovery disk

  • How to identify my laptop model?

    Hello.

I recently bought a used laptop, Toshiba Satellite A10. Now I wonder, how to identify the model number? The sticker on it says

    Model PSA10E-00KWY-SW
(The "SW" is probably because she's Swedish. The zeros are perhaps o)

But when I look for stuff on this site and fill out the model number, mine is not there to choose! There is that numbers like A100-xxx. And maybe, sometimes, numbers like PSA10X, with X being a different letter that e.

There is also a serial number, it is 73612675G. It is a Celeron 2 GHz, 256 MB RAM, tft 14 "and 30 GB hard drive.

There, can someone help me find a useful model number?

    Hello

Usually in the lower corner on the sticker, you can find all the information you need.
In any case, I think I have 10 reward points answer ;)

Check it please this page: http://gedb.toshiba.com/
You will find everything you need.

By the way: what you find on Toshiba page and cannot find exact model number?

  • How to get Vista 64 Bit from Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 10K-

    Hello

    A few days ago, I bought Qosmio F50 - 10 K but with Vista Ultimate 32 Bit.
    It does not satisfy me
Does anyone know how to get Vista Ultimate 64 Bit from Toshiba?

This version has been developed for the Poland, but in this country there is no office representative or something like that. There are only distributors or shops who import laptops of distributors abroad.

    Hello

    You won't get a Toshiba 64-bit Vista.
What you can do is to buy the operating system Vista 64 bit full, original and reinstall instead of Vista 32-bit, which is already installed on your laptop.

I think 64-bit drivers for Toshiba Qosmio F50 Vista can be downloaded from the European driver Toshiba page!

    Good bye

  • How to protect the laptop on the plan

with recent security restrictions, I'll have a little panic about how to get my laptop safely during the flight. I am in an area very undeveloped for the work and certainly need a laptop. does anyone have any suggestions on how to protect my laptop if it is in the hold for a flight pretty long-term?

    Hello

Well, in my opinion, you must declare the laptop as a carry-on
I Don t recommend put the laptop in the back because gamma rays travel. This can damage the laptop, motherboard or chips.

  • How to maintain information in the ReelTime Toshiba that I keep on the toolbar?

I hope I'm in the right place :-)

I want to understand for once and for all, how to maintain information in the ReelTime Toshiba that I keep on my toolbar.

If photos or documents on my dasktop: when I send the documents that they are lost of ReelTime and he said: "the file for this shortcut no longer exists."

How can I avoid that because what is the point of ReelTime otherwise?
    Thank you.

    Hello

Toshiba Reeltime is a free application, showing you a Visual timeline of your files recently accessed using graphic thumbnails like the images, so you can access your files more quickly.

The Reeltime makes it easy to search for files up to recently used documents 5000 in a timeline. The presentation will be in chronological order reversed, so the most recently used files appears first. Filters allow you to limit the search to photos, text documents or other types.

    > If photos or documents on my dasktop: when I send the documents that they are lost of ReelTime and he said: "the file for this shortcut no longer exists."

This occurs because of the file has changed
