How to open a link in my email that isn't a hyperlink?
I was sent an email with a very long Web site address. It if not stressed and I can not open it by clicking on it. Is there a quick way of opening?
[Original title: log on to the Web site]
Hi Antony,
Access you emails via a Web browser or an email client?
If the long line of site Web is not a hyperlink, then the sender might not have formatted mail correctly. In this case, the only way to open the link is to copy the link and paste it into a new tab address bar in Internet Explorer.
Note: Make sure that you open links from shippers of confidence because there is a risk to be directed to malicious Web sites that may install malicious software or other security threats to your computer.
I hope this helps.

0xc000022 error when opening a link to an email
When you try to open a link in an email, saying, I get an error message saying that Windows could not do so due to an Oxc000022 error. Is it a registry problem and how can I solve it please? When I try again it still works.
Hello
Thank you for the update.
As you mentioned that you don't know if this problem occurs when you use the webmail, and if the problem occurs when you use the webmail on Internet explorer, you can try to reset Internet explorer and check to see if it helps.
Refer to this article:
Change or reset Internet Explorer settings
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Internet-Explorer/reset-IE-settings#IE=ie-11-win-7Note: The feature reset the Internet Explorer settings can reset security settings or privacy settings that you have added to the list of Trusted Sites. Reset the Internet Explorer settings can also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the reset Internet Explorer settings. Reset Internet Explorer is not reversible, and all the previous settings are lost after reset.
If the problem is specific to Thunderbird, I suggest you post your question on the forums of Thunderbird.

Open a link in an email - when I click to open it, it will not open in a new window (as before). When I 'x' to close, my email all closes its doors and I'm back to the MSN homepage. The forward/back arrows are not operational during this time.
This just started here yesterday.
Go to control panel | Default programs | Associate a type file or Protocol with a program and a page down for HTTP and HTTPS protocols and the default value of IE (even though its already put so). Then see if that solves the problem.

I am trying to open a link from an email and get a box that says "can not be done, check with administator.
"operation can not be performed, check with administator.
I bet he has not said who and what he says is "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.
If this is the case a Google or Bing on this error message would have given thousands of messages all ask the same question and all with the same answer...
http://www.slipstick.com/problems/this-operation-has-been-cancelled-due-to-restrictions
Please a) quote the correct error when you post here and not a paraphrase and b) Please use Google or Bing (or another search engine) first of all that most of the questions have already asked and answered.

Original title: link stop "restrictions in effect on this computer.
All of a sudden when I try to click on a link in an email that I get "this operation was cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. Well... I am the system administrator and I have no idea what is the cause. What is a windows problem or a problem of office?
Bruce,
See my post on 1 December. None of those links gave me an answer that worked. I found a Geek forum that works. I now can have all three browsers installed IE9, GoggleChrome and Firefox. I like the last two because IE9 periodially breaks down and the others did not. In addition, Chrome is faster for some things like the control off site to purchase.

After that my system downloaded automatically updates latest of Microsoft, I can't click a link in an email without getting the message that this action has been canceled due to restrictions on this PC; Please contact your system administrator.
My login has administrator access.
I am running Windows 7 ultimate, Office 2010, IE 10.
How can I fix?
Duane Goodman
Hi Duane,
1 are you facing issue while accessing Outlook 2010 links?
2. are you referring to the webmail or Outlook 2010?
I recommend you to check the updates are installed on your computer before this issue.
See the Windows updates are installed: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/See-which-Windows-updates-are-installed
Note: If the update is related to outlook or any update of security, I recommend you to uninstall this particular update and check.
Remove an update: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/remove-an-update
I recommend disabling the security software and check.
Disable security software: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Disable-antivirus-software
Note: If you need to temporarily disable the security software, you should reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
If you are referring to Webmail, please refer to the steps in the following Microsoft article.
The problems of access to webmail using Internet Explorer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2483955
Note: There is also good place for Internet Explorer 10.
Note: The reset of Internet Explorer is not reversible. After a reset, all previous settings are lost and cannot be recovered. Rather than reset, you might want to reset specific settings in the Internet Options dialog box or delete your webpage history.Keep us updated on the status of the issue.

How to open a link text selected from the keyboard
I would like to be able to search for text on a screen and then open the link that it connects to. The problem is that I want to do this via the keyboard, i.e. without moving the mouse. It seems that there should be a way to do this. I tried every combination of < meta-key > + back and all combinations of < meta-key > + down arrow I can think, because this seems like a natural place to hide such a shortcut, but nothing helps. Someone knows how to do this?
Try this extension, and then the Enter key should work:

Since I updatated my, iPhone 6 s Plus 64 GB iOS 9.3 I can no longer open all links in an e-mail message. I checked to make sure there wer no restriction only activated in the settings, which was what he suggested to someone having a similar problem, but that was on a wire very old. When I get an email now, and I want to view the Web site, the mail application just hangs. It happens when I'm on wifi or cellular service. I have an Air 2 64 GB iPad that has been updated the same time, and it does not work flawlesslly. I don't know what to do to this phone is only 3 months old. Thank you so much in advance!
Apple will release a bug for her fix soon.
