How to print on the remote computer without logging in every time?

I have a (USB) printer connected to my desktop pc. My laptop connects to the network and can see the desktop pc. Both are under Vista. The Office to share everything on a private network and the requirement of password is disabled. When I try to print from the laptop, it fails. If I have first of all on the desktop icon in the network and enter my user and password, then print... it works very well. Restart the laptop everytime I have to redo this process, which is a bit annoying. Is there a setting somewhere that will allow me to stay connected or auto log on the desktop when I set up the network connection to start. Everything works network wise between the two computers as long as I'm logged in first.

Hi hiitsme,.

Step 1: First tryto turn off protection of password sharing on both computers, and then see if it works well or not.

Password protected: OFF (if you have it on, and no names of user and password identical don't set up, you will be asked a user name and password when you try to access a Vista computer from another Vista computer)

You can check the following links for more information:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/share-a-printer

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-network-printer-problems

You can also check if the properties of the printer on the desktop has an option to stay connected during your connection.

Hope this information is useful.

  • How can I activate the remote computer to power saving Mode monitor?

I am a technician in a small private company and it is my duty to keep all desktop computers works very well.
    Desktop computers:

    • are the Dell Optiplex GX260
    • Run Windows XP SP3
    • have Dell 17 "monitors
    • with Intel Pentium 4 (2.4 Ghz) processor with 1 GB RAM

I do my job after working hours. I connect to them with my laptop (running Windows 7) and check their conditions, one by one. Now, my employer comes to know that when I do this whole process monitors for desktop computers continue to run. As it is not put in place a very large company and electricity and the price of fuel in Pakistan are very high. So, he asked me to find a way to turn the monitors to the power saving mode, when I do my work. In this way, it will be significant energy savings and fund savings in monthly bills. So, can someone please tell me How do I turn on monitor of the remote computer to the power saving mode?

There are several ways to handle this.

#1-have affected the power turn on their monitors, but let run PC
#2-click Start > Control Panel > Power Options and choose how long it is before the screen turns off. Once your activity on their machine is complete, then will kick time.
#3-you say that you connect to their machines to check their conditions... whatever that means exactly. You can map their computer management console directly to your machine and I * think * he didn't wake up the monitor.

    I hope this helps.

Then I tried it iterate with different values in the input field, but the problem is that for each iteration it was connected each time. How can I stop logging in each time and put the values while one login. Can anyone provide me with tutorial online for OpenScript used in OATS.

    Hello

You have no need to create any for loops, OpenScript has 3 sections to initialize - run - Finish.

Run is the only one that repeats itself, so just move the connection steps for the steps of initializing and disconnection in the finishing section.

  • How to print all the files in a folder without having to open each one?

    Hello

Can someone tell me how to print all the files in a folder? I often need to print multiple files in a folder and it would allow me to save a lot of time!

    Thank you!

I've done some testing, and it seems that Windows 7 allows print several files when they are all the same type of file.  So, for example, you can select and print 15 Word documents, but not a Word document and a single PDF document.

To work around this limitation, you can print each file type separately.  For example, to print PDF files in a folder:

    1. Type *. PDF in the search for top-right box.
    2. For 1-15 files, press on CTRL + A to select all the.
    3. For 16 or more files, select 15 of them (click on the first, SHIFT + click the last).
    4. Click any file, and then click print .
    5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as needed.

HP link Setup requires an account on the remote computer, how do you do that? Someone please help! Thank you.

I understand that you need to know how to set up a user name and password on the remote PC to HP LinkUP.

This document explains how to use the program.  Looking at the screenshots included, looks like it's just using the user account that is within Windows on the system.  If the local account on the Windows (remote system) system user does not have a password, then HP Link UP may not work for security reasons.  Some remote access programs (even on a LAN) have access problems with empty passwords on the remote system.

This document has a video on the program if you want to examine.

    Let me know what happens.

  • Can workstation make me use the ethernet port on the remote computer?

    Ideal solution would be:

I have specialized software on my computer I want to use without installing it on the remote computer.

For now, I have to because the software uses the ethernet computer port to do a job, the software is used to.

    (1) is there a solution out there for everything just to connect to a remote computer and make use of its ethernet port remotely?

Someone told me that VMWare Workstation last night. Maybe it's completely off-base.

If this remote computer is connected to another computer via an Ethernet cable, but not for the internet, only data.

For me to be able to connect to it, the remote computer must maintain a simultaneous Wifi connection as well.

I use Teamviewer to fight against it.

    (2) if 1) above is not possible, I'm back to my current setup which is to the software me, I need on that remote computer. But my problem is that it does not seem possible to have WiFi and Ethernet connections at the same time.

Please correct me / explain how if I'm wrong.

How can be useful to me in these scenarios Workstation?

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm looking everywhere for more than a week.

I read that you wrote in your OP several times and no offense not expected however it is not well presented and I find I have to ask the many requests for clarification, however, I will say this...  A Virtual Machine is presented only a wired Ethernet adapter no matter how the host connects to the LAN/WAN and if you need to wired Ethernet and WiFi Ethernet in the Virtual Machine, and then in addition to the default wired Ethernet you can also provide your own card Ethernet Wi - Fi USB to connect to the virtual machine as well as the two available to the virtual machine at the same time.

Others while I won't waste time asking a bunch of questions and if you want to take an another stab as describing in explicit and specific in detail what you have and are trying to accomplish, then I add more to the discussion.

It depends on how the computers are connected and their intellectual property regime.

They are on the same network (e.g., connected to the same router)?

    Through the Internet? Something else?
